Dodaer waits patiently for Roger to return. He seemed slightly intrigued by the card game happening at the other table. Otherwise, he kept his guard up in case of bar fights and tried to face his boredom silently.

There's something about a homemade avvy that makes you feel proud no matter how much it sucks.
Xin, the last member of the team, looked up from his seat to the man who had just came back. "Looks like everyone's here, now. What's our mission?" He tilted his head to direct the last part of his comment to the kobold, as if waiting expectantly.
"I never said I'd leave him behind...nor that I wanted to..." Xin muttered under his breath, although the sound wasn't audible enough in the noise of the tavern for the others to hear.
Contenting himself with crossing his arms over his chest instead of lighting the man's clothes on fire, he leaned further back into his chair, waiting.
"I wasn't trying to... I was only trying to persuade the mood that was felt while we waited. I wasn't giving an exact... Nevermind all that," said Dodaer noticing that Xin was obviously unhappy about his summary. "More important things to worry about."
I've got to watch out for this guy. He doesn't seem to... not hate me, unlike most others I work with...

"I've been dying to work," said Dodaer returning the cheery tone masterfully. "Umm, mister... dog, if you don't know anything about what we're doing, just take us to your master then."
Someone that tried to kill me and someone that wants to kill me... I make all the best impressions don't I... Dodaer let out a sigh as he waited for the kobold to answer.

The kobold thrusts a piece of paper into Roger's hands. Drawn on it is an elegant, yet simple, map.
"Here's where to go."
He goes running out of the tavern as fast as his legs can carry him.
The map shows an "X" to the north of town, fairly deep into the forest, where large hills and small mountains are abundant.

They love and hate to see me walk through the door. I'm the man with the box, one to carry all his Standard cards with him. I've got the commons and uncommons they need. But I've also got my decks. If I walk into FNM, I came to play. And they never know what I'm gonna pull out of my hat next. I may lose more than I win, but it just might be THIS deck that has all the answers that they don't have answers for. They fear the unknown. They fear me. And they never see me coming!
OOC is it far enough that it'd be worth it to fly there?
OOC: Judging from the map, it's about a half a day's walk from town.

Xin shrugged somewhat helplessly, tilting his head. "I guess it'd be up to you two...I don't have anything I could ride, though, so I'd have to borrow something."
Truthfully, he'd never heard of riding your own beasts, and the thought made him slightly nervous, but if his other party members were accustomed to doing it, he might as well get used to it. 'Do as the romans do' and all that.
"You don't need one actually, I have 4. Although with three of use the fourth is redundant. My tattered drakes should be able to carry us far, if you don't mind the smell."
"If it hurries the mission along, I'll ride. Believe me I doubt it's worse than what I've smelled before," said Dodaer thinking about the intelligent undead he had met in House Shimia. Hmm, I never asked if he had a name... "I've got to borrow one of the drakes, too, though. The best my own summons could do would be to follow me in the ground."

Dodaer wondered if the drakes smelled worse than that zombie or not. He climbs onto one regardless and makes the creature hover, waiting for the others.

Trying to ignore the smell - which wasn't quite so bad as he had anticipated - Xin hopped up onto one of the remaining tattered drakes, balancing himself precariously on the base of its neck.
'Well, this should be interesting...' he thought to himself, looking at the others.
OOC: Yes, they will all be re-gemmed when you're done.
The drakes take off, and you are on your way. Following the map, you head north from the city, flying above the treetops.
OOC: ErickC roll 2d20.

Xin was hardly paying attention to the smell; the viewpoint over the forest and all of the horizon had him entranced. Surely, one could get used to doing something like this more often...
Reality snapped him back into the present, however, and he shook his head. Turning to Roger, he smiled, trying to cover the delay in his response. "Not so bad at all."
"Could be worse..." said Dodaer finally deciding that the zombie he met earlier did indeed have a worse odor.
Dodaer never did like flying too much. Too dependant on the flying mechanism, not enough control. But if it gets him to where he wants to go considerably faster, he can cope with it.
Dodaer just keeps on following Roger hoping he knew where he was going from the sky view. I swear, if we get lost...

Dodaer considered the best way to get the information from the kobold. Only one way...be nice to it..."We'd like all the details if you could."
Contenting himself with crossing his arms over his chest instead of lighting the man's clothes on fire, he leaned further back into his chair, waiting.

Great, I'm working with a guy I tried to kill. He probably thinks I STILL want to kill him... That wasn't me. That's NOT me.
