Xen seemed slightly intoxicated and filled with thirst for more when he simply said, "Yes..."
Raising himself from the ground he staggered for a moment slightly off balance and then seemed to return to his normal self with all signs of intoxication and thirst gone. Xen felt exhilarated from connecting to so many lands in such a short time. He would need to be mindful of the sensation as he did not desire to become addicted to the mana. Deep down he felt that was a dangerous path to walk.
So without further delay he walked away from the garden. If he needed to draw upon the land he was sure he could make the connection again. For now however he wanted to remove the temptation of drawing upon the land by remaining too close to it.
Smiling to Embla he said, "Where do we go to now?"
Xen felt overwhelmed as the sheer density of the mana made him feel as though he were breathing in humid air. Embla could tell that Xen's breathing was becoming labored as he ventured further into the sanctuary.
This place felt similar to the garden from earlier. Slightly different as this one seemed to radiate with power and unity.
Again Xen attempted to connect as he did before. This time whenever he would be about to draw upon the land the essence would slip out of his grasp.
He was missing something. He felt like he was one with the land yet he still seemed to be missing something.
Unity.
This sanctuary radiated with Unity. Unity required a joining, a growth. He gave himself to the land yet that seemed like it wasn't enough. Perhaps he needed to give some mana to receive the mana.
Following through on this idea he first drew upon the forests and held that power in check before attempting to draw upon the land again. This time the sanctuary's mana flooded into him pushing the forest from his grasp but returning greater mana in return.
Again that overwhelming sensation surged forward, stronger than before. Worried that he may be going too fast and drawing upon too many lands in such a close time, Xen released his hold on the mana.
Still breathing heavily he looked to Embla saying, "I'm being overwhelmed with the urge to draw upon more and more mana from the lands that I am connecting to. I am afraid that my body may be becoming addicted to the rush of connecting to new lands."
Xen let out a nervous laugh asking, "Sounds silly, right?"
Xen nodded in agreement saying, "I know. That's why I released the mana as soon as I made a connection. The urge to draw upon the mana was beginning to overwhelm me."
Xen thought for a moment before asking, "Does Vitu-Ghazi provide a power and mana? I ask because before entering the vision I was guided into feeling an unknown land's mana. It was unfamiliar yet I felt I should be familiar with it. Do you know what I am talking about?"
Xen walked quickly to Embla's side before falling into the same pace. He still had so much to learn and due. Here he had found a great deal of help from the Selesnya. He would repay them as best he could.
Everything they showed him and thus taught him through his vision would be nurtured and allowed to grow. With that growth he hoped he would be of use to the Selesnya.
Embla nodded. "That is true, I suppose..." She said. Before long, she leads Xen back into the antechamber of Vitu-Ghazi, and once more, he feels a pull...
Xen braced himself as the land called out to him. This experience was different from the previous two though. He felt no overarching presence of one essence or the other.
Instead he simply felt the existence of mana unfettered by the world around it. This land was a great tree encompassing a massive space providing for all the other lands and beings within it's shade. Thus the mana was simple.
Yet, deep within the land there were dozens of strands of life waiting to be born from the land. As the tree existed to provide itself to the other lands so too did the lands provide for the tree. The mana of the various lands connected to the great tree all worked together to create buds of new life.
This city tree truly was the embodiment of the Selesnya, a symbol of the symbiotic relationship and growth they represent.
Xen would become this.
Reaching out with his mind Xen plucked an ethereal seed from the great tree and brought it to his chest. There he cradled the seed while dipping into the two most recent lands he had acquired. Guiding the flows of mana into his hands he focused that mana into the seed and pushed it into his chest.
A few beats of the heart passed before the seed exploded outward entangling itself with the lands Xen had called upon. Breathing steadily Xen focused on this seed inside of him. Slowly that seed was growing within in him tying itself into his mana.
Now he was like the great city tree. He had his own sapling shading his lands, both providing for the other. He was at peace and of harmony with his lands.
He smiled first at nothing and then at Embla. This connection didn't rouse his desire for more. Instead this land had brought harmony to his soul reigning in the draw of power from the other two lands. Still smiling he told Embla, "Vitu-Ghazi embodies the Selesnya perfectly. Everything it represents is the same for us."
Xen reached out to touch the bark of the great tree. Whispering to Vitu-Ghazi he said, "I will forever cherish your gift"
Understandable though. All of us WPLs mix up names mistakenly when we balance several quests.:p
Xen turned back to Embla asking, "Are quarters available to me for when I find myself in Ravnica? Also I plan of being of great service to Selesnya and would like to know who or where to report to."
Xen smiled asking, "Do I simply ask for a room when I need one? Should I ask for you when I need anything? Also I know the Chorus guides us but is there a central leader I can ever speak to should the need arise?"
He wanted to make sure he had someone to contact for any missions as well as covering any of the future possiblities he may run into.
"Simply find an unmarked room, and claim it for your own. And should you need to speak to someone, ask for a Lady Sisay...she should be able to assist you."
Again Xen bowed deeply to Embla saying, "Thank you!"
Turning he followed her directions and noted the location of the library as he passed. Coming to an unmarked door he looked inside to make sure it was unoccupied before making his mark on the outside. Carefully he carved a small circle within a circle within a horizontal oval.
Having claimed a room he moved to the writing table and placed his satchel and pack down. Stripping down he laid the clothes on the table as well before crawling into the bed and falling into a deep sleep.
He simply needed a short nap after the strain of the day's past events. All the lands and fights had drawn almost all of his energy out of him. A quick rest would do wonders for him.

A grin plastered his face while he waited for an answer.
