"I wouldn't kill her; she's my friend!" Deraxas says with a bit of attitude.

Deraxas looks at Gully cautiously. She knows the power of a druid, and only recently, she herself has learned to touch it.
The stone in her ring glows softly, a slight hint of what Gully sheds just by being who she is. Using this, Deraxas calls upon her new power, forming an elf in front of her... but not a Lorwyn elf. This is one of the ones she met in the temple.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

Deraxas expects this, and she nods. She knows that caution

Gully has her gloves and the Elf's skin light up with Mana. She takes hold of the Æther and brings forth a Human and another Elf. Gully stands ready to defend herself.
Are you ready?
Deraxas's eyes widen at the human's power, and she quickly rethinks her strategy.
Calling another flower, she looks to the Rangers for aid. They oblige, handing a moonglove blossom with bright leaves to Deraxas with a show of respect.
Sketching a violet pentacle in midair, she channels the mana into something different... Through the Aether comes a very large beast, and Deraxas smiles.

Gully has her gloves and the Elves' skin light up with Mana. She takes hold of the Æther and brings forth an Elf that seems to radiate energy.
Let's do this then.
This time she puches through the Æther, bringing a small Drake out clinging to her glove. She has it take flight and as it does some of the Elf''s energy gets sucked to it; making it grow larger. Gully nods to the Drake and it cuts through the air on it's path to Deraxas.
Deraxas shakes her head and moves her hand in a cutting motion, almost as if dismissing the entire idea of Gully's giant flier, using the last of her power to toss a glowing ball of blackness into the air.
It explodes, calling Night to the area.

Deraxas blinks after the globe of night passes, and studies Gully's creatures for a brief moment.
She smiles.
"Rangers. Your aid, please."
The two give her a vase that brims with necromantic energy and a shining white flower, and she adds to that, calling another blossom to her side. She uses the aura of her gemstone to power the vase, and calls a blade of darkness that strikes the Forcemage dead in the chest, killing it.
Drawing just a bit more power, Deraxas weaves a bond between herself and Gully, calling forth the Forcemage once more...but on her side.
"This is one way we return creatures to life, Gully." she says, nodding. She sends her beast in to attack the girl, humming idly.

She puts a finger to her lips, considering.
Sprout pokes his head up from her backpack and emits a feeble "squeak".

Alright then, promise accepted. Shall we continue my Friend?
Gully says with a smile. She has her gloves and the Elves' skin light up with Mana. She takes hold of the Æther and brings forth a large group of Bears.
OOC: Is use of my Manlands acceptable or no? Your call; and passing turn.
OOC: Manlands are fine, as they're creatures. Oh, this may hurt...
Deraxas considers things as she thinks of how best to prepare herself for a type of battle she's never quite used.
This is only right, I suppose... Oak said I was to learn to rever life, and I can't do that if I go about prematirely ending it all the time... all the same, this girl might yet squash me into the ground, as her mastery over Gaea's legion exceeds my own.
"Gully, this has just gotten a lot more difficult." Deraxas mumbles.
She looks to her Rangers and nods. One offers another vase filled with necromantic energy; the other, a moonglove blossom shining faintly in the sunlight. She adds a similar blossom to the veritable garden at her disposal and stands a bit straighter, felling a bit giddy at having all thid mana at her fingertips.
Deraxas takes a deep breath and begins to summon the creatures she has at her command.
First, she channels the viridian glow of Freyalise's ring into the first vase, causing it to emanate a great store of power. She uses this to call upon a shade, a living essence of Night that stands near the half-elf. She draws on a bit more power to summon an elemental greater than what most have ever seen, larger than Life and twice as ugly.
With a bit more (and still having more to spare!) she calls up a shadow who quickly rushes to strike the girl, its shadowy form insubstantial except when it truly counted.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

Gully stands in baldfaced awe of the Elemental that Deraxas brings into her fold. Due to this she doesn't take note of the Shadowy Creature silently charging across the field until it is just about to strike. Gully takes the hit full on and is knocked to one knee for a moment.
Good hit.
She says with a smile as she looks over the Deraxas' Forces and then over her own. She quickly counts the number of Creatures they have brought to the Battlefield.
..But it will not be enough. I can beat you this turn, just like you could have beaten me last turn.....
She has her gloves and the Elves' skin light up with Mana. She takes hold of the Æther and brings forth three more Shamans. As they appear she kneels and touches the ground, lighting it up with Mana. Soon it forms into two large Apes.
..With your spells you could have won with ease. With the use of Creatures only I gain the advantage...Shall we call it a draw or does your sense of Sessan* still need to be satisfied by having me attack?
OOC: As it has been removed from the Rules page *Sessan: A Mage's Sense of Honor and Pride
Realizing the implication of the Martyrs and half regretting the foolish decision to actually agree to try to match creature-for-creature with a druid of all people, Deraxas withdraws all her power, including her summons.
"No, the attack will not be necessary. I agree to the draw due to circumstances. We've both learned something, here...."
Her violet eyes close, briefly.
Not too long ago, I would have taken the deal and went back on it as soon as possible. Why didn't I do it this time?
Sprout jumps out of Deraxas's pack and moves between her and Gully, almosr cheering, He points to the girl, then to the half-elf and back again, jumping up and down.

Deraxas, Dark Maiden of Shimia,, still oddly obsessed with a mindmage.

"No, the attack will not be necessary. I agree to the draw due to circumstances. We've both learned something, here...."
Her violet eyes close, briefly.
Not too long ago, I would have taken the deal and went back on it as soon as possible. Why didn't I do it this time?
Sprout jumps out of Deraxas's pack and moves between her and Gully, almosr cheering, He points to the girl, then to the half-elf and back again, jumping up and down.
"Squeak!!!!!!!!"
