Player: Xen Anastan/Murphy
Saffi looks at Xen, thinking for a moment. "How good of a drawer are you?" she asks. "That's usually a good judge of whether or not you'll need help.
"As for the place itself, the location you're looking for is known locally as the 'Ghost Quarter.' It's located in the area of Ravnica called 'Agyrem.' I don't know exactly where the Ghost Quarter is, but I do know that the whole area is a huge graveyard. One of these graveyards is the Ghost Quarter, and there you'll probably find the ghosts of thousands of years of Ravnicans. That's about all I know."
Xen nods noting all the information and tells Saffi, "I'm a decent artist, sketches mainly, but if you provide me with parchment and writing tools I think I'll be able to make you a map."
Xen nods taking them graciously. Taking off his small pack he sets it down and carefully rolls up the scrolls placing them, the charcoal, and the graphite in his pack. Looking up at Saffi Xen asks her while putting the pack back on, "Anything else I need to know before heading out?"
Saffi thinks for a moment. "No, I don't think there's anything else," she says. Then realization flashes across her face. "Oh, they may not let you in to Ravnica. Hang on..."
She pats herself down, and pulls out two objects. One is a familiar scroll, the other is a badge of some sort.
"Once you get there, and if the gate doesn't let you in, press that thing to it," she says, motioning to the badge. "It'll tell the gate that you're on business for me."
Xen pockets the items into his satchel nodding thanks. Turning to leave her shop he says, "I'll be back with your map as soon as I can, Saffi. May the Eternal keep you until we meet again, Saffi!"
With that Xen made his way out of her shop and towards Frankies for a quick exchange.
OOC: Leaving open for Saffi to respond and for you to lead the way into Xen entering the shop.
The loxodon counts the gold with his hands while his nose holds one of Xen's gems to his eye for a closer inspection. "Yes, that seems acceptable," Frankie says, picking up the gems and gold, and handing over the gems Xen requested.
Xen once again shows respect to the Loxodon and bows deeply.
"Thank you Frankie. I have a feeling I'll be back for more of your gems." says Xen with a wink.
With that Xen exited the shop and made his way out of the city. Once he reached the gates he planned on summoning one of his Armodon's to speed him along.
The Loxodon nods respectfully in return, and smiles.
Xen's travels to the city's gates are uneventful, and soon he is riding his Armodon, making his way to Ravnica.
It is a much shorter ride than by foot, however by the time Xen reaches the huge gates to Ravnica, he's having a little trouble holding on to his summon.
Dismounting from his Armodon, Xen slides his hand across the Armodon's head and dismisses it. Seeing the guard Xen smiles and raises his right hand in greeting. Maintaining a casual demeanor Xen walks up to the gate with every intention of passing displayed in his body language.
There is a rasping sound from the guard as he clears his throat. The sound is not angry, or malicious, but it is definitely clear that Xen has the man's full attention.
"Do you have a Guild Signet to show me?" the man says.
Xen shakes his head no as he pulls out Saffi's badge and presents it to the guard saying, "I have no signet yet but I do come on behalf of Saffi and Han's business."
The guard examines the badge carefully. He shrugs. "Well, then, go and place this on the gate. It'll let you in, or not," he says, handing the badge back and smiling in more grim anticipation than out of politeness.
The guard looks at Xen with a bit of... understanding? "The Ghost Quarter's in the Agyrem, which is over in Orzhov territory. I don't know where in the Agyrem it is, exactly. Looking for a loved one?"
Xen grins as he recalls a distant memory and responds in a slightly somber tone saying, "No, it's not a loved one I seek but rather a spiritual connection..."
Xen walks through the gate nodding in appreciation of the guard and stops for a second pulling out parchment and graphite. For a quick moment he jotted down some details as well as the information collected so far. Depositing the writing tools back into his pack Xen stands up and heads out for the Orzhov territory.
Xen walks through the huge city. This area has a blue and white triangular sigil all over the place. As he travels, these symbols disappear, to be replaced by a black and white stylized sun.
That must have been an Azorius controlled district... and this must be the Orzhov district... Xen thinks to himself.
Pausing for a moment he makes some quick notes and then continues on looking for the Agyrem or someone who he thinks would be amiable enough to help him.
The people he's been walking past as he enters this district seem very friendly. Most are behind stands, selling various wares and trinkets. There is a fruit stand, staffed by a young lady. The lady has a green and white tabard with a stylized tree on it.

The other is one of the 'thopter scrolls.

Xen makes his way across the busy streets, and into Frankie Peanuts' shop.
Frankie is just finishing off his latest cigar as Xen enters. "Ah, welcome back," the Loxodon says, "How can I help you?"
Xen walks to one of the displays and points at three other gems, "I need those three gems right there."
Pulling out 13 gold pieces he lays them next to the three gems and asks Frankie, "Does that seem like a fair deal to you Frankie?"
"Thank you Frankie. I have a feeling I'll be back for more of your gems." says Xen with a wink.
With that Xen exited the shop and made his way out of the city. Once he reached the gates he planned on summoning one of his Armodon's to speed him along.

The guard at the gate looks at Xen warily.
"Do you have a Guild Signet to show me?" the man says.
After a few seconds of silence, the gates slowly swing open, allowing Xen to enter.
The guard behind Xen, almost slightly disappointed, says "Alright, go on in."
"Enjoy your stay in Ravnica," he says.
Pausing for a moment he makes some quick notes and then continues on looking for the Agyrem or someone who he thinks would be amiable enough to help him.
