Kheira grumbles and pushes the gryphon forward, trying to keep them caught up. She even shouts. "Hey! Back here!" Once--only once. Any more and predators are sure to hear them. She doesn't even mind Oreo at this point. She doesn't want to get left behind.
Kennar, having not held on to Turasir out of pure stubborn pride, starts looking worried once the windspeed begins to rise. After a particularly strong gust, he grabs Turasir out of reflex. When he realizes this, he lets go again. Kennar to too focused on not falling off the griffin to look back at Oreo and Kheira, let alone realize how far back they are.
"How long until we can land?!" Kennar shouts to Turasir over the rushing of the wind.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
"The trip will take more than a day for sure." Turasir calls back towards Kennar "We can fly on for four more hours, after that we'll need to find a place to stay for the night."
Although he doesn't hear Kheira's call, Turasir does look back for a moment, and noticing the others have fallen behind, he slows down a bit.
Kheira pushes her ride to try and catch up with them, keeping alert as she looks around, making sure nothing is following them. "Oreo, stay on your toes.. hopefully we won't be noticed on the way."
"Such a risk taker... I thought you would want to know me better before taking things to that level..." he says with a grin, then as she spurs the Griffin forward he chuckles, his voice filled with mocked disappointment "...oh you meant that."
Giving a quick look around, above and, after a few moments to steel his nerves, below Oreo begins to think back to the Forests of his youth, he pushes aside the memories he carries of the Forests, right now his concentration is on the forests themselves, if anything is to attack then Oreo will not be caught unaware.

Call me old fashioned, but an evil ascension to power just isn't the same without someone chanting faux Latin in the background.
Oreo, Glazing people better than Dunkin' Donuts since 2009
That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange eons even death may die.
For now there seemed to be no threat on the horizon, no reason to not be alert though. They had passed plains and forested hills, and now a gently, salty breeze greeted them - they were nearing the sea. More than two hours had passed without anything exciting happening - if irritating would count though Oreo had made enough of such jokes - and they hoped that soon would be the time to eat and rest. They were exhausted from the constant wind buffeting them and hungry from not having anything to eat for hours.
"I say, what do you think Griffon tastes like? I have half a mind to ask our charcoal enhanced friend to see if we can have some roasted Griffon, im starving and the salty breeze is giving me the munchies" Oreo says with a smile, the wind pounding in his ears but not really complaining, after all theres much worst ways to spend the day than by grabbing hold of Kheira.

Unlike the earthbound Oreo, Kheira liked the skies and the wind, but even after a long flight she was hungry and tired. She got down from the griffin, a little glad to be on the ground, and a little more to be out of Oreo's grasp--it wasn't a bad experience but he'd slowly gotten more close and comfortable with her. She smirked at Oreo's suggestion and opened a side-pouch of her satchel. "You didn't bring any rations with you, did you?" She looked at Kennar--she wasn't entirely sure what flamekin ate.
I think we're still in the air. Landil didn't say anything about landing.
Kennar has gone from extremely nervous about flying to extremely pissed about flying. He has decided griffons are not the way he wants to fly from now on.
To Turasir, Kennar shouts over the wind, his voice annoyed, "I'm about five minutes away from turning this griffon into dinner. How much longer until we're there?"

ooc: you're still in the air, I thought that was obvious Alacar
"Well, it can take several hours until we're there, but I'm thinking of taking a break. I'm just trying to find a good place to camp for the night, so give me a moment." Turasir shouted back over the screaming wind. Kennar noticed his eyes scanning the landscape below, while letting the griffin descend so he could get a better look. A short distance behind Turasir and Kennar, Kheira noticed the descend too.
"Well I'll be a Mogwai! we are actually descending!" Oreo exclaims as he sees the other Griffon lower.
"Either we have already reached our destination, Gaea knows it feels like we have been traveling for weeks, or we are resting to eat and i cant complain with either option"

Turasair looks about for a little bit more until he finally finds a place to set up camp. Its a small atoll but at least its large enough for everyone to land. His griffin moves into a much more rapid decent and then lands gently. He now awaits the rest of you so that camp may be set up and possibly some food cooked.

Kheira had been having a grand old time in the sky. Rarely had she been able to fly so high and so free, so it was a bit disheartening to go down to earth, but she could sense Oreo's growing discomfort despite his closeness to her. She shrugged and followed them down, keeping her eyes peeled for a landing site.
The entire group finally makes landfall and sets up camp for the night. The griffins seem as tired as the rest of you. Turasair throws each one a rather sizable hunk of meat and then settles down with the rest of you. One hot meal later and he looks about each of you and then speaks.
Turasair: Well from my calculations we are about a half days flight from our destination. Now I am not sure what we are going to encounter but I suggest that we all get a nights rest to be prepared for what is to come.

Setting up shop for the night Oreo sits down and get on with his dinner "You talk as if we are walking blindly into the unknown... quite a few fools have disappeared never to be seen again by walking into the unknown" he says off handedly as he gently touches the inside of his sleeve, wanting to feel the comfortable feel of the gems hidden there.

Turasair: I know but the unknown is what expects us. All we have is reports of something going afoul and that we are to remidy this ordeal. So a little extra caution is not completely uncalled for.

"I care little myself, as long as we get paid and I get some more 'memories' and a gem or two you can even put me in a costume and call me a Mogwai" Oreo says with a laugh "Did i mention im a bard of sorts? I spend so much time alone in the forests sometimes i find it a perfect place to practice my music, one different instrument every time"

Kennar sits silently to one side of the camp, listening to Oreo and Turasair talk. He's gotten used to doing things alone; he doesn't know how to act with a group of people around him.
Leaning against a tree, Kennar closes his eyes feigning sleep. Perhaps if he looks like he's too tired to talk, nobody will bother him.

Kheira sat opposite Oreo and Turasir, seeing them chat. She curled up under her robes, hugging her legs and shivering in the forest. She stayed close to the fire, deep in thought. She saw the flamekin feigning sleep and decided to let him be. She would have little to discuss with a living fire elemental.
