Dozens of healers and mages were on stand by as they awaited the arrival of the participants. Standing in the center was a judge calmly examining his surroundings and the participants as they walked up...
OOC: Don't worry, it was. Swords are forcing me to play a more reactive style, which I'm actually better at.
Cyouni smiles in return. "I'm quite sure...because of this." He throws his hand out, sending waves of dark energy towards the goblin, which is ripped apart from the inside. The miasma kills his bat as well, but he hardly seems to care. "I know you'd simply kill your own goblin to stop it."
Gathering more mana to himself, Cyouni notes, "I don't want to see that goblin again." Another blast of dark energy is sent at the remains, ripping the goblin from Aggron's mind.
OOC: I really hope you don't have two of those, because if you do, this'll be over awfully quickly. On the other hand, I think this really is about to tun into a battle of strategy, now that the early rushes are stymied. Which is nice.
Aggron gasps as the spell is ripped from his mind. <That's a pretty nasty sensation. Not too painful, though.>
He summons a larger, more muscular zombie. It searches briefly in the dirt around Aggron's feet, then turns back and looks reproachfully at his master. Aggron shrugged. <Not this time...>

<Finally>. Aggron grins. <It's time for the fun to start.>
Aggron draws two of his orbs and his statue, and a familiar, two-colored sword begins to form in his hands.
OOC: Hold on. Responses. And I'll take my turn, while I'm at it. If you had the Legion, I figured I'd lose. Otherwise, I'd win.
Clenching his hand into a fist, Cyouni stops the zombie in its tracks before it can grip the sword. As he tightens his grip, the zombie crashes to the ground. With a gesture, the remains of the zombie is scoured from Aggron's mind.
I haven't done the math out this far. I don't know how much you can hit me for with Bats. If you severely outdamage me, I'll still lose. But it'll certainly be hard.
Oh, and pardon my character.
Aggron clenched his teeth as the zombies were exiled. <If you're playing that way, then so will I!> He gathered a potent dark orb in one hand--the same kind Cyouni had used. Then he tossed it at Cyouni's satchel. The orb flew into it and engulfed one of the gems, sealing it from Cyouni's use.
OOC: ExtirpateLast Gasp. Send me your satchel, please. I'll decide the rest of my turn after I see it.
OOG: Hold it both of you. I think you both misplayed way back while I was away.
At this post, Cyouni had just taken his turn 5 after last gasping the zombie and extirpating it. For that turn he summoned his whispersilk cloak. He passed the turn with 2 mana open.
At this post, Aggron indicates he is extirpating the Last Gasp. He was tapped out so he could not do it on Cyouni's turn. This means Cyouni did not have a second main to summon his two bats. This also means that Aggron only has 5 mana left for his turn 5 play since he used one black mana to extirpate the last gasp. Thus Keening banshee cannot come into play and be equipped in the same turn.
I am deleting your other posts effectively resetting the fight back to the point where Aggron Extirpated the Last Gasp. Please don't make this error again.
Just to be clear it will be Aggron's turn 5 with 4 black (assuming he lays his swamp for the turn) and 1 colorless mana available for the rest of his turn after resolving the extirpate.
Also thread closing until I delete and reset the game stance.
Edit: Thread open again, please proceed with the match on Aggron's turn five after resolving the Extirpate.
Oops. That's what comes of posting while tired.
I think it ends very similarly though. I ran a bunch of possible outcomes now that I have his satchel, and once Aggron gets a sword on a creature, I don't think Cyouni can win.
The spell has the added bonus that Aggron knows what Cyouni can cast. <Well, now that the coast is clear, let's try this again.> Aggron summons a partially dismembered zombie from the earth. As it rises, he infuses it and his sword with dark mana, bringing them together.
Aggron focused on the shade, seeing it magically. <That's a dangerous creature. Two Strengths, huh? I think I can top that.> Aggron wraps mana around his fist, then stretches it into a second sword. He tosses it to his zombie, who seems to stick together better now. With a sword in each rotting hand, the zombie charges Cyouni.

OOC: I should have done the Last Gasp + Extirpate one turn earlier...ah well. Hindsight's 20/20 and all that.
Breathing hard, Cyouni strengthens his shade with the spell from before. Covering it in the cloak, he empowers it with the rest of his mana, then sends it at Aggron, its form flickering through his defenders.
We'll see....
By the way, I prefer to RP extra life above the cap as a forcefield-type effect. That's the only reason I RP'ed like this. The swords don't really activate during your combat phase...
As the shade barrels towards Aggron, it seems to slow, and the swords attached to the zombie glow. Aggron is knocked back, but he doesn't collapse--indeed, he seems to not care about the hit. The zombie charges in, and Aggron seems revitalized after it strikes.
Then, Aggron plays two more zombies, and one of them takes one of the swords. <This is your last turn, Cyouni!>
Attacked with the Legion and gained 6, going back to 20. Then used the extra mana to make two more Severed Legions, and equipped one of them with a sword. I think you take me to 3, then you lose.
