The thing just roars at Cyouni before jerking forward suddenly. The chains holding it in place crash loudly as it jerks them taut.

Never forget: there's always someone bigger, better and stronger than you.
Someone once asked me why, when I talk about House Dimir, I don't put the word "the" in front of it.
At the time, I had no answer, but it just came to me.
Do we put the word "the" in front of God?

"I'm not so sure we should make trades." Suven says, "Any sign of the lost apprentices here?" He scans the room and the pit for any hint that they could have been here at one point.

I'll bet you wish you had a non-unglued/unhinged card that shared your first name.
Krush looks up at the demon and begins to wonder when he should make his deal. The power chained against the wall seemed so great it would surely overcome the angels of that Paladin.
The five statues begin to glow with stronger and stronger light, but the demonic figure glows with its own internal light of all the colors of fire. All of a sudden, the cave begins to rumble and all three of you begin to emit light. Cyouni emits green light
Krush emits yellow light
and Suven emits white light.
With a loud crash, a stalactite comes crashing down from the rooftop, impaling the demon through the skull. The thing sags in its chains, all light going from its eyes. The cave begins to collapse from within.

"What the?!" Suven mutters, as the trio glows different colors. Then he nearly falls on his butt with surprise as the demon is slain, "I know it's cliche," He shouts over the noise of the collapse as he turns to run back the way they came, "But I hate it when I'm right!"

OOC: Phew, otherwise we'd have to deal with three knights as well from Krush's dragon.
How far is the collapse going to run?
Cyouni summons three bats, quickly enlarging them with a touch.
"Jump on!" he shouts, suiting his actions to his words.
Cyouni takes off down the tunnel.
The tunnel is completely collapsed about twenty feet down from the exit into the chamber.

OOC: I'm assuming we didn't get beyond that point.
IC: Cyouni pulls up short as he finds the rock wall in front of him. Damn! We're trapped!
He turns back, calling out the news.
"As we have nowhere to go, let's get a closer look at this place." And that enormous power that I felt...he added silently.
He directed his bat towards some of the paintings on the wall.
Krush dodges and dives around the falling rocks as he settles onto the back of the bat. After seeing the exit blocked he wheeled around and began to look for an alternate exit.
The cave is still rumbling, but the tremors have subsided enough that there are no other falling rocks.
The paintings show five powerful angels engaging a stylized portrait of the demonic force locked away.
They show them wounding it but it won't die.
So, instead, they imprisoned it down here, with five statues built to commemorate their victory over the evil and to hold its body imprisoned.

Oi! The pit goes nowhere. But there has to be a way out. How'd the angels get in and out? Krush flies to the statues and begins to investigate them. Trying to figure out if there is a way to break them.
"Likely through the same tunnel that just collapsed." Suven answered, "But now that we're relatively safe (from falling rocks at least), I want to figure out why we started glowing and what started this mess." He walks back the the pit and examines the statues.

The tunnels were dug from the inside out. Not the other way around. Has to be another way out. Krush yells over his shoulder as he continues examining the statues.
Cyouni grins. Hmm. Doing very little, we managed to destroy a demon those angels couldn't...I wonder if I can harness that power for myself...
He calls across to Suven and Krush, "Those statues seem to be what held that demon. That might mean that it holds the rest of the cave together. But why would our mana cause the cave to collapse?"
As he flew to examine the dead demon's body, he glanced back at Suven. "There is the bat there. It would help you to move faster...and you can keep low to the ground if you wish."
He steps forward, to the edge of the pit, and examines the form pinned to the wall. "Tell me. Who, or what, are you?"
Someone once asked me why, when I talk about House Dimir, I don't put the word "the" in front of it.

"If you give me the information I desire, I can set you free..." he said, then shrugged. "But, as you don't seem to want to answer me, I guess not."
