His tail doesn't connect with anything. The dark orb Aggron conjures creates an extremely dim light, but it is sufficient to illuminate, barely, a square of floor right next to his paw that's slightly lighter than the rest.
Aggron thinks for a moment. 'm not sure this is a deathtrap. Remember how the dwarf said there were two stairways leading to the lower levels, and both of them lead to storerooms? I think where the map said 'stairways', it meant 'shafts.' And that means there should be a way out of here.>
He begins to walk, holding the orb in front of him as enough illumination to guard against pits and such. <Just find a wall and follow it, and yell if you find a door or something.>
IG: The light from the dark orb Aggron has called upon has made a faint light. There is a void to your right in the wall; if Aggron's theory is correct, it would most likely be the shaft you entered by. All you can tell is that the corridor in front of you is long, and behind you is a wall. Everything around you seems to be very dark, faded, blurry gray versions of the corridors you just left.
Aggron walks forward slowly into the corridor, watching--as well as he can in the near-darkness--for traps. He still holds the paper from the floor in his claws.
Nevin looks at the junction, then he looks down at the paper. He tries to bring his ball of black light nearer to it, and he notices that the ball is considerably smaller. He also notices that he can see the corridor--and the split in it--from where he's standing.
For a moment, he's baffled, but he begins to think. I don't have night vision, so I was using this mana to see, but it's gone--? Of course! I must be channeling it to MAKE myself have night vision! As soon as he realized this and began to focus on it, the corridor seemed to snap into focus, and he looked around again--for traps at first, but soon he was looking at the paper he'd found.
OOC: Yeah, the mana that was in the orb is in his eyes now.
Nevin looks carefully at the map now, trying to see if he can figure out where they are. In his head, he's mapped out the parts of the dungeon they've already traversed, and he tries to match them now to this map.
It appears that you are in a T junction very near one of the two storehouses Lars mentioned. To the left of where you currently are is the storeroom. To the right, a series of smaller rooms.
Aggron likes the looks of the map. <Hey Yana,> he 'calls'. <Come look at this map. I think we're almost to some artifacts--oh, yeah, I figured out how to see down here. Channel some mana through your eyes; it works wonders.>
It's how it was explained in the Discussion thread, is all.
Aggron, distracted by the map, was hit by the human and fell on his side. As her blade came near his face, though, his tailblade came closer to her neck than she knew...
When he heard her hissed demand, however, he understood. Summoning more mana, he brought forth another dark-light orb. <Ease up. I just found a better way to see, and I tried to tell you when you were rushing me.> He waits just a moment, to see if Yana will back off.
<You're cursed right, I didn't know it, or I wouldn't have stumbled around for so long.> Aggron also took a deep breath, a long, rasping hiss. 'm new to controlling mana, all right? I only gained that power a couple weeks ago, and I only even gained sentience this past year. Ease up, I said!>

Who's Nevin?
Anyway, I'm just waiting for you two to resolve this however you choose.
I think we have it now, more or less.
Also, fixed the Nevin bit...
Aggron gets back on his feet and looks over at her, his eyes burning eerily. 're very close to what looks like a treasure room--we go left at this junction to get there. Shall we go?>
Aggron spins on his heel and walks left, his tail tense behind him. He's irritated at her distrust, and he's no longer sure that he can trust her, either.
He follows the map's directions, though, and his anger doesn't keep him from being cautious. He checks the corridor for more symbols as best he can, but he keeps walking towards the treasure room the map indicates.

You move forward into the darkness.

IG: Aggron sees no immediate traps. Looking at the paper, you see a series of lines and branches. It looks like the map.

The door itself is some sort of metal. There is a seam that bisects it vertically. You cannot see any handle on the door.
