Felpurr swings his dagger at another of the returning thopters.
"If this doesn't end soon, I may not make it through the dungeon."
Felpurr has a wicked green gleam in his eye as he continues to bring more mana to bear.

They love and hate to see me walk through the door. I'm the man with the box, one to carry all his Standard cards with him. I've got the commons and uncommons they need. But I've also got my decks. If I walk into FNM, I came to play. And they never know what I'm gonna pull out of my hat next. I may lose more than I win, but it just might be THIS deck that has all the answers that they don't have answers for. They fear the unknown. They fear me. And they never see me coming!
Shadow, you have 2 -1/-1s to distribute after the damage is applied.
OK, by my calculation:
Each of us blocks 1 thopter with our weapon (4 dead)
The goblins kill 2 thopters with damage (6 dead)
The goblins' deaths kill the last two thopters (all 8 dead)
It's a little pricy in terms of life, but everything dies. Assuming this is how the combat goes, this is where my -1/-1's go.
Aggron visibly relaxes as he sees that all the thopters are gone. With a gesture, his remaining goblin dissolves into the black mist he used to craft it, then the orb near his shoulder flows back into him. 'll live, although that was rougher than I thought it'd be>, Aggron replied. 't too many more traps like that in here>. Unconsciously, Aggron 'angles' his thoughts away from Yana, so she can only just hear them.
OOC: Am I able to make one more play before my mana dissipates?

Aggron looked around. <Well, now we know what to expect. I guess we need to be ready for more of this>. He walks forward into the darkness, going slowly so he can look around the cave and so the others can follow him.
Felpurr follows the others down the corridor, while sheathing his weapon.
"Onward."
Felpurr peers ahead at the darkness past Lars, looking for any hint of movement.

Felpurr studies the strange writing for a few minutes.
"Well, my Thran is a little bit rusty. It either says 'Go this way', or 'Danger this way'."
Felpurr turns and winks at Yana, giving her a quick grin.

Lars holds a book in his teeth while he sorts out sheet of paper, and orients it correctly. "Alright," he says, looking at the map. "This looks like it be a loop, but those runes..." he starts flipping through the book, looking for words. "Hunh, it does say 'Go this way...'" he glances at Felpurr. "'Go this way only.'"
Lars snaps the book shut. "Well, I've learned not ta argue with this sorta thing." Holding the map out in front of him, he starts to move forward down the right path carefully.
Aggron follows Lars. I hope that artificer's not the sneaky, tricky kind, or this could end badly...
He stays on alert, looking everywhere for hidden hazards.
Felpurr looks at the others, and shakes his head slightly.
"Hopefully this message was written by someone we can trust."
Felpurr starts to follow the others down the right passageway, focused on any possible problems.

"Well, not many people know old Thran, and I'd rather not think about 'the worst that can happen,'" Lars says. "Judging how long we been in here?" Lars looks at the map, "I'd say we got another dozen yards ta go. Maybe more."
Lars glances at the wall. "Hang on," he says. On the wall is a carving of some kind of sitting bird, with a wavy horizontal line through it.
Before you can examine it further, you hear a loud *CLUNK* behind you, and some rumbling, coming closer.
Felpurr whips around and pulls his dagger in one fluid motion, uncertain of what he will see.

I'm so sorry. I completely missed that you had posted. Been distracted with work and the Mafia fiasco...
Aggron instinctively drops into his old-style battle-position--on all fours, tail at the ready. He doesn't have time to get control of himself before...whatever it is...arrives.
The party whirls around, ready to attack whatever's coming at them. A large slab of rock materializes out of the darkness coming right for the group at head height.
The rock, in quick succession, smashes into Felpurr's chest and head, knocks Lars's helmet off with a loud CLANG, skips along Aggron's tail, and clips Yana on the forehead.
The rock continues onwards for a short while, then starts to come back slowly with a series of clicks as if a mechanism is being wound.
Lars picks himself up off the ground, having fallen over more out of surprise than pain. He looks at the carving of the bird on the wall. "Ah, I see... 'Duck,'" he says. "I told you the guy had a sense o' humor..."

The clouds of death released by the goblins travels upwards, clogging the mechanics of the remaining thopter, causing it to collapse.
The only sound in the corridor is the whirr-click of one or two thopters that are still trying to fly with only one wing.
"Yeh all alright?" Lars asks.

As you continue deeper, you reach what looks like a T junction up ahead. The wall in front has the first real carving you've seen on the walls:

Underneath is a strange script. Lars starts rummaging through his pack.
<Any chance you can read that, Lars?> he asked.
