MTG Salvation

"Let me explain the mission. Near the town of Iscale, about a days journey north of Kush, someone struck mythril. It was in a unpopulated area where the only thing was a path between towns. I don't know how the mine was discovered. Someone probably got lucky. This was only three days ago. In the last three days, people have come from all over to get some of the priceless metal. There are tents all over. I warn you, because you never know what people will do to get some of this stuff. Not only does it make powerful weapons, but master mages can concentrate spells through it. Now, I need you to fill up this crate with Mythril. If you do, I will reward you with 50 gold each, but if you get some extra I can use it to strengthen the weapons you have shown me. Saffi has given me a map to the region, so use this to get there. Now you cant rider Ornithopters, because then you'd have no way to carry the heavy metal back. So I have prepared some mounts outside. If you are ready, I will lead the way."

OOC: Check in please.

"I get it. I just need to do a quick visit to the shop first, and then I'll be ready."

OOC: Go ahead

After saying this, Hiko leaves and goes to the City.

"I'll be back soon".

Not much time later, Hiko returns

"I'm back, and ready to go. So, where were that mounts you said earlier?"

Nathan looks around.

Nathan:
Indeed, I'm ready when you are.

OOC: I named the mines, just so the title wasn't so repetative.

"Ok, here is your map." He handed it to Nathan. It was made of paper after all. "Now, Saffi has lent me some Dromad Purebreds for you to ride. Go ahead. I wish you safe travels."

"Let's go then Nathan" says Hiko as she mount the Dromad.

Nathan hops onto his dromad and pats the back of its neck a bit.

"Great... I'm the navigator..."

He looks at the map, looking up at the trail then back at the map a couple times. He looks over to his quest-mate.

"This way apparently"

He faces the trail and goes forth

On the mount, the journey is a quick one. Is is about a days jouney to the north, mostly on a straight path. As you arrive, you can see giant crowds of people surrounding the mines. It is a small entrance into a cave to your left, which is very crowded, however the sun is setting. Attached to one of your Purebred's saddles is a folded tent with everything needed to set it up, and one ration. Rin had prepared pretty well.

Nathan looks down into the bag, then at the elemental with him.

"Food isn't one of your natural requirements is it?"

"No, it isn't, I'll be fine, I'll just need to rest a little" replies Hiko.

Nathan spots a relatively clear area and points over to it.

"That look fine to rest for a bit?"

"Yeah, it looks ok for me, I'll help you to put the tent."

Nathan, with Hiko's assitance, gets the tent ready for the night. After the task is completed, he sits and watches in case someone "stumbles" upon them.

Hiko sits near Nathan

"So, where are you from Nathan? What brings you to this place?"

Nathan shrugs.

"Not sure to be honest. I saw that the request was for two people so at the very least I figured I'd get to have a learning experience and meet others. Always fun to associate oneself with other people."

He's silent for a long moment.

"How about you? Anything specific that brings you here?"

The tent is set up completely. Most other people seem to have had the same idea, and there are very few fools who were still searching the mines in the dark.

"Nothing specific, basicly it's the same with you, I've come from my home because I was bored back there and I want to meet many places and people, and hopefully learn a bit from each."

Nathan smiles, having found common ground.

"I don't know how much you'd learn from me. I'm a bit basic myself. Not much more to me than you see here in front of you."

He sighs to himself, sneaking a few looks around the clearing, still cautious in the unfamiar area.

Outside the tent there are other like you. Most of them are very tired from a long a day of mining. Really, it isn't much of a scene.

"Well, I think you can learn something from everyone, even if it's just a little bit" Replies Hiko, after that she stays silent, and looks around for something suspicious.

The sun was setting quickly. There we few who were out a talking and laughing, tell various stories. There was a pair of miners both carrying crates with a shiny blue ore in it. There was one smaller figure sneaking into the mines, despite the darkness. A lot of people were staring at Hiko due to the bright flames coming off of him.

Hiko notices all the people looking at her, wich incomodates her a bit.

"I think I stand out too much in the darkness, don't I?"

She then makes her flames as low as she can, and then covers her head with the hood from her cape, so the flames are barely noticeable.

"Hey, did you see that?" Hiko points at the dark entrance to the mine

He looks over at the entrance.

"That little thing? Probably just some head-strong miner that's gonna get themself hurt or something."

Nathan looks over at the bag, ready to get a bit of the rations to tide himself over a bit.

"Hum.. Yeah, probably it's nothing more" she replies and keeps looking around
