Never forget: there's always someone bigger, better and stronger than you.
Someone once asked me why, when I talk about House Dimir, I don't put the word "the" in front of it.
At the time, I had no answer, but it just came to me.
Do we put the word "the" in front of God?

Easud stands ready but looks slightly troubled. Wow...I can't believe I'm working with a white mage. But I hope we get along well, and I hope he doesn't mind him to much.
Tai stands by the counter as a dark haired man enters the shop. He senses a chill aura about him, one that sends a chill down his spine. The trepidation in his eyes is obvious, and no doubt, the same could be said about Tai, as well. He arched an eyebrow and then presented his hand. "Well met, sir...?"
Name's Easud. I am a black mage and you are the white mage I take it? I hope you have a hearty constitution, you see, I occasionally have another person surface, and he likes to collect heads...hope you don't mind. But aside from him I'm usually a pretty amiable guy.
He grabs Tai's hand in a firm handshake.
Tai squints his eyes...working alongside one of THEM? Well...he seems forthright enough...
"Well met. Provided it is you I see most often, I can assure you, we will get along well. I do warn you though. Should the...other...show, I promise you, one false move, and there shall be only one head collected..." Tai's emerald eyes flashed, as he gave Esuad a rather penetrating glare. "However, I do not sense the usual murderous desires in you that tend to run deep in your ilk. I shall not begrudge you your allegiances...but I am unsure if I should give you my implicit trust at this time, also."
Empty Square arrives with a bit of a spring in his step. "Hope I didn't keep anyone waiting," he says. He bows slightly to Easud. "We've already met." Turning to Tai, he extends his hand. "How do you do? I am the Empty Square."
Empty Square chuckles lightly. "It's not so much a name, more like a title. My real name is known to a select few individuals who have sworn never to reveal it even if it cost them their lives. I do agree that it is rather unorthodox, but I was thinking on the fly when I chose it."
Well, I guess all we have to wait for is the green mage. Green mages do seem to be quite erratic in their patterns always needing to be in tune with nature. Yuck. I hope you all will trust me though. I am not a subversive balck mage as many think we all are. I just enjoy the thrill of the capture, of the kill. Surely you guys can understand that.
Tai cocked his head. "A green mage, you say? A...woman, by any chance?" He drew himself to full height...could it be? After all this time, could he finally find her in a mere chance encounter?
Don't worry about it, and call me Easud, I'm not one for titles. But what is this woman's name, perhaps if I ever happen to meet her I could direct her to you.
Heh...yeah, I went a little overboard yesterday. But the gods didn't see fit to curse me with a hangover this morning, so they must think it funny. Anyways, I have to be sober for this mission. Or at least not completely drunk.
Tai looked Easud over...he seems rather genuine...still, though...
"I would love to accomany you, Easud, however, ah..." Tai blushed slightly, "I spent my last gold to supply myself. I suppose, then, there is no risk of inebriation for myself."
Osark rushes in, afraid that he may be late. "Am I late? I got caught up in some argument with a nezumi who was trying to borrow money from a woman." He laughs. "I said to him that Greel must not like him for him to refuse a loan."
He quiets down. "So, we just wait here until everybody arrives?"
"I believe so," says Empty Square. "We shouldn't have to wait long. Easud and Tai are at the tavern, so they'll make their way back. How do you do, by the way? I'm the Empty Square." He reaches into his coat and produces a small white bag. He opens it, looks inside, and offers it to Osark. "Would you like a jellybaby?"
Once all four magi are in the shop, Frankie addresses them, "You are to locate a friend and colleague of mine, one Sidar Jabari. He is a horseman and a traveling merchant. He sent me a letter not too long ago from Oneah, stating that he was traveling by ship to the Green Lands and would travel overland from the Green Lands to Estark. I have inquired and he left Oneah on board a ship bound for the Green Lands. The ship even made landfall and sailed around to Muronia, a fact which another colleague has been so kind to supply to me. Somewhere between the landing point in the Green Lands and Kush, he disappeared. I want you four to backtrack along his route from here to the point where he came ashore and try to find him." Frankie hands Tai a map. "His route is drawn on this map. If you find him, I can promise a reward of 100 gold each."
