Hey, Avatar, could you put what each player decides on for their class on your first post?

Never forget: there's always someone bigger, better and stronger than you.
Someone once asked me why, when I talk about House Dimir, I don't put the word "the" in front of it.
At the time, I had no answer, but it just came to me.
Do we put the word "the" in front of God?

AoJ, that'd be me at this juncture. Besides, she's already got 6 (the five on post 1 and Keifru).

Is there a way I can be an elf without the +2dex, -2con bonus, because that seems like it wouldnt help me much.
Actually, I think being an Arctic elf would be cool too, but thats more dexterity, and it sounds like druids dont even need dex. I actually dont want to be an archer.
Something about elf just seems right, I dont really want to be a half-elf, and would rather be a human.
What about dexterity makes it useful, because I dont really see how it helps, other than with bows and such. And I dont really want another archer, and I dont think druids can be archers anyway. If I were an Arctic Elven Druid, I would have +4 dex and -2 str, and -2 con, which seem like vital stats and I dont want to lose them.
So really, what is more important, RPing the char I want or having good stats?
Hey, Avatar, could you put what each player decides on for their class on your first post?
Sure. Once I figure that out, that is. And Keifru isn't joining; however, Faerie Lord asked for a refresher this morning, so I have to do first come, first served out of fairness. However, if he's not active, I will sell his soul for a bag of Skittles.
So I've settled on a cleric. Awaiting Ti'rin's council on a melee friendly, NG deity.
Cleric's good- Heironius'll have you, you're within one step. I believe Kord is actually CN, but there is a HUGE possibility I am mixing him up with Tempus- I generally use Forgotten Realms deities.
OK, I want to be a Druid even though it is similar to cleric. Fighter next time.
Can I have an animal companion at level 1?
Sure can, and if you want something not on the allowed list, let me know what it is and I'll stat it for you. Providing it's level-appropriate, that is.

Hm. Half elf would probably be your best bet- embrace your elven nature, yet not dealing with stat issues. If this tutorial goes well, there is an excellent chance I'll extend it into a full-fledged campaign if you guys want, and druids get Wild Shape at level 5...and physical stats except Con matter not when you are in animal form. Your decision, of course.

Dex is used for Reflex saves, which druids aren't good at; armor class bonus; Dex-based skills such as Tumble and Ride; and occasionally random checks based upon situations. Like, for instance, if an ally wants to throw something to you, I may have you make a Dex check to see if you catch it, especially if it's a hazardous item like a blade.
Arctic Elf- Unearthed Arcana, right? I wish you wouldn't...
i do believe so, however, it depends on the DM, i think AoK is allowing it, but don't quote me on that
edit: well, it entirely depends on the kind of person you are, however online, i would say, rping the char you want
AoK already said no to non-core races i believe
Dexterity is vital to your reflex save, and believe me, you WANT a good reflex save, it also comes in handy with some skillz
I didn't exactly say no to non-core races; if you have access to the FRCS (Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting) then have a look at some of the subraces in there. (NO DROW. Sorry, Ti'rin :p) I just prefer no monstrous races at this point.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.
The deities in Greyhawk that have War as a domain (which is, I believe, what GigaGuess is looking for so he can have a proficiency with a martial weapon and weapon focus with that weapon as well) are Corellon Larethian, Heironeous, Hextor, Erythnul and Gruumsh. Of those five, only Corellon Larethian and Heironeous are on the good side, ergo, if Giga wants to be a good-aligned cleric and have access to the war domain, his choices are Corellon Larethian or Heironeous.
I know you said no to Drow, Avatar, but could I run a Tiefling instead?
Just my little query and information.
Also, if I may say, the Greyhawk universe irritates me in some respects. Primarily because of the deities, actually. There are nineteen deities and 8 of them are good-aligned while only 5 are evil-aligned. Sure, there are 6 neutral deities, but, of those, one (St. Cuthbert) is vehemently opposed to evil and won't allow clerics of his to be evil, nor does he allow any of his clerics to channel negative energy. Obad-Hai is better, but unless you're an evil cleric of his, you cannot channel negative energy either. Wee Jas, on the other hand, forbids her followers who are neutral in alignment (either LN or N) from channeling positive energy. So, on the G-E axis, there are, effectively, 11.5 deities that are G (Heironeous, Moradin, Yondalla, Garl Glittergold, Ehlonna, Pelor, Corellon Larethian, Kord, St. Cuthbert, 1/3 of Wee Jas, 2/3 of Obad Hai, 1/2 of Olidammara, 1/2 of Farlanghn and 1/2 of Boccob) and 7.5 deities that are E (1/3 of Obad-Hai, 2/3 of Wee-Jas, 1/2 of Olidammara, 1/2 of Boccob, 1/2 of Farlanghn, Nerull, Hextor, Vecna, Erythnul and Gruumsh).
