"Then you shouldn't be here!" shouted Kamala, instantly shedding her facade of calmness. She took a deep breath, putting her hand on her chest and melodramatically sighing, "Now what do you suggest I do with you?"
Some guards had heard her yell and entered the room once again before being banished by Kamala, who was still staring at Cerwen. Somehow, her voice was once again calm and gentle, "you came into a private meeting and may have heard some things that are rather... sensitive. How long were you there?"
For a brief moment, Cerwen thought she saw relief flicker across Kamala's face before she returned to her stern expression and continued to question her, "Are you sure that's all you heard? Nothing else?"
Quickly changing the topic in order to hid any other suspicions, Kamala prompts her once again, "So who are you and now what am I going to do with you?"
The games Kamala was playing weren't over yet and the Immortalis was intent on asserting her power. "Well, Cerwen, you shouldn't have been here to begin with. If you wanted to help, you should have enlisted like everyone else."
She breathed in deeply before staring into Cerwen's frightened eyes, "But now that you are here, I'm not going to let that skill go to waste. With that said, you will not be totally forgiven. I ask you again; what shall I do with you?"
Wordlessly, the two of them walked out of the room and into the neighbouring room where the previous conference had been held. Those left in the room gave Kamala questioning looks, but she smiled sweetly and they were all silent. The charismatic lady walked her through the room and though a small black door. The insides of the room that they stood in were barren and dark, unlike the lavish room that they had just stepped through. The walls were bare stone, cracking and poorly maintained. In the middle of the room, there was a single chair with a black cloak sitting on its back.
Cerwen was scared. This is nothing new, she's been scared throughout the entire encounter. But this was even more so. Walking behind one of the Immortalis, knowing she's going to a punishment. There's a million things that could be done to her. And as they enter the cracked room... Now she gets -really- worried.
Kamala grabbed Cerwen's face, looking at it with scrutiny. "Cute... but rather ordinary looking. It's a real shame." With a commanding tone, Kamala instructed Cerwen to sit on the chair.
The girl lets out a whimper of fear as she's grabbed and scrutinized. In ordinary circumstances she'd be insulted by that statement. But now, she just quickly sits in the chair to avoid such clinical touches.
With a quick and pleasant wave to the guests, Kamala shut the door behind her. The only two people in the room were the Immortalis and the infiltrator and Cerwen wasn't sure if this was a good thing or a bad thing... she was leaning toward the latter.
Kamala circled around the girl in the chair, "I"ve decided you're going to be he subject of some... experimentation. I'm impressed by your skill to get past our two best guards, but I'm not so thrilled about eavesdropping."
Stories of Kamala's calm demenour in the face of scary things were abundant, but Cerwen hadn't believed them until now. With a totally calm look on her face, Kamala bound the girl's legs to the chair with a thick chain. "This is for your sake, not mine."
The girl was clenching her fingers around the arms of the chair, tight enough to hurt herself. Those stories she had heard as a child are suddenly feeling very real. And the girl's worried she's about to be hurt.
"Wh-what are you going to do to me? I won't tell anyone! I was only trying to learn of a place I could help!"
"Oh believe me, you're going to help quite a bit" she said, still presenting an eerie calmness, "but you're not going to like the next few minutes. Actually, it might be longer... depends on how satisfied I am."
Kamala turned her back to the woman in the chair, "all of the trial subjects were bare. It's up to you if you want to keep your garments on or not, but we're really not sure if it's wise to be clothed."
The girl stares, biting at her lip in worry. "You're... You're not going to hurt me, are you? I was only trying to help! You can't punish me for that! I didn't hear anything!"
"I'm not going to hurt you. I'm not the violent type..."
With a homely and comforting smile that were creepily deceptive, the Immortalis finished her statement, "... but I do have some other things that I've been dying to try out. They might hurt just a little bit. I know you were trying to help, and you're helping me sate my curiosity."
"I don't believe so. Then again, you're different than the others that I've done this with..." she said, trying to sound reassuring but falling short of her goal. "Well, enough with the pleasantries" said Kamala, still with her back to Cerwen, "it's time to get things underway. Last chance to disrobe. I can understand if you want to be modest, but it's at your own risk."
The infiltrator winces before quickly starting to get rid of her clothing. She doesn't know why she's doing it, but if there's a risk of having it on while whatever happens...
Now that she had been seated for a while and wasn't in the panic she had been, it occurred to her how cold it was in the room as her bare skin tensed itself and every hair stood on end.
Kamala turned back around and for a moment, it looked like she pitied the girl. Returning to her straight-face, the woman moved behind the chair, grabbing more chain and bindind Cerwen's trembling hands to the arms of the chair. Her teeth chattered and her body involuntarily shook as the coldness danced on her skin, the chain starting to dig its way in. She felt the cloak behind her lift off the chair and Kamala moved in front of her, holding the cloak with a certain amount of fascination. "This is the Sancti's greatest innovation. It is also the last one of its kind. You have the privilege of testing it out."
