The day was a scorcher as the sun beamed down on Kirin's armour, seemingly frying him from the outside. The sweat rose into his turban, leaving his forehead moist and his hair clumped. Today, however, he didn't care. It was to be his first day of training with a specialized force of assault troopers and it was an incredible opportunity for him to showcase his talents as not only a warrior but also a weaponsmith.
Kirin looked around, looking for any familiar faces and to survey his surroundings. He took a drink from his canteen and proceeded to walk around and become familiar with the training grounds.
There were no familiar faces to greet him; only the ubiquitous sense of anonymity as everyone went on their way, not caring about the people around them. He was supposed to be meeting someone in the Church, but arriving now would make him early.
Taking off his turban and revealing his face to the harsh sunlight for the first time, he decided to head towards the church area. Padding the sweat from his face with the turban, he swore to shave his head when he had the chance. To take some weight off of his back, he took one of the Fukaru and strapped it to his arm. Carefully surveying his surroundings as he went, he headed off.
Every person's eyes looked directly forward as though they were thinking about something else as they plodded on. Since the speech was given, nobody seemed to talk to one another about anything other than business. As Kirin neared the church, he could see the crowd of people thickening.
He recalled that the man he was looking for was tall and had dark skin. Kirin had met him through a mutual acquaintance and had chatted with him shortly after the speech about their predilections and precepts. The man's name was Irio and it seemed that he was certainly well connected.
Even though the ebb and flow of the people carried him in every direction, it was not hard to see the large dark skinned man in the crowd. He was, unsurprisingly, talking to a couple of very attractive females. Kirin could practically see the hormones pumping in their blood.
Kirin stowed the Fukaru onto his back and pulled out fresh cloth. He wrapped it around his head until only his eyes appeared. He then walked up to Irio and the couple.
"Am I too early?" he spoke playfully. He eyed the two women and looked straight at Irio.
Irio slipped a piece of paper into his poket and smiled graciously as the two women walked away. He had a smug grin on his face as he answered jovially, "which one is prettier? I can't decide which one I'd rather have... of course, ideally I'd have both if you catch my drift."
Irio led them down a long hallway and turned a corner. The large man pulled out a key and inserted it into the door. Before he opened it, he turned to Kirin, "alright, here's the lowdown... the girl you're about to meet is... different. She's a total fox but she's impossible to crack. Not even with all my charm have I even gotten her to tell me what she wants in a man. Watch yourself, man."
OOC: Everyone knows church is a good place to mack on the ladies
The last thing Kirin saw on Irio was a smirk as he opened the door. A girl was sitting with her back toward them and she turned as the door opened fully. To call her a fox was avast understatement.
The girl was slim but curvaceous underneath a dark purple gown that contoured to her body in all the right places. Her skin was pale and sharply contrasted with her long, straight, jet black hair. The front of her hair hung in front of her left eye but her other was was showing to reveal a captivating amber colour. Every part of her was captivating but even without Irio's warning, Kirin could she that she was shy and reserved. Her arms were tightly holding herself as she nodded at Kirin. Her voice was soft and sounded timid as she greeted him, "hi..."
Irio smiled at Aene, "hello, Aene." He replied to Kirin though his smirk clearly said I told you so, "well it's a bit of an exploration mission. As you probably are well aware, the Immortalis lusting after some big artifact thing. To be frank, I don't give a damn about it but there's a lot of money to be had and a lot of ladies that would be willing to fawn over a hero." He smiled, "with that said, we're going to need some serious wrecking power. Do you think you can handle that, Kirin?"
Kirin unwraps his turban as he is now inside a cold area.
"That will be no problem. However, what does this have to do with Aene? Not to mention, your statement is telling me we're going outside of the Immortalis' regime?"
"Yes, we're headed for the Dead Zone" said Irio with a wild look, "I'll let Aene tell you what her role is in all of this. We might also have another companion... I'll see if she's ready yet." With a quick wink, Irio slid out the door, leaving the stunning but shy girl and Kirin alone in the room.
"Well then. As I see it, this means i'm to guard you as we travel through the Dead Zone. However, i'm curious as to what you will be doing on this trip."
ooc: sleeping in about 20 minutes, so about 2-3 more posts.
Aene brushed her hair from her face, an inadvertently seductive move as she replied, "I'm a chemist and I can heal you if you get hurt. Kirin, I think I'll be the one who's protecting you. Not to mention that I'll be leading you two because without me..." she explained as she giggled softly, "...you two would be hopelessly lost." Her eyes were looked down at her hands as she fidgeted nervously but her giggle was so subtle yet so intriguing, it could drive a weaker man wild.

"Don't worry, business first, relationships second. I'm pretty sure you're exagerating though."

"Hello. I'm Kirin... and you are?"
He glared at Irio.
Great warning buddy. Kirin thought.

Kirin tried to speak as gently and softly as possible, as to not disturb Aene.
