Zyl bowed to Frohirim. "The lad is rather impressive my lord, but I should not have been his opponent for choosing whether he is battle ready. If you will excuse us for final sparring rites..." Zyl bows before the young man, then returns his attention to the Imortalis. "What is your will?" he asks with another bow.

"To destroy our enemies in order to return the world to it's long lost balance." Zyl says this with confidence, but looks slightly uncertain. "What I meant was, do you have orders for me or is this a visit of pleasentries?" Zyl bows.

His muscular frame was intimidating, "Soldier, you forget that, unlike my two brethren, I enjoy battle and live for it. I am, after all, in charge of our vast military and find it necessary to watch developing fighters. What is your reasoning for enlistment?"
OOC: Assuming he is directing his question at me...
"I am enlisted because I came from the Dead Zone with no memories of who I was, only with the knowledge and capability to fight. Since I have nothingn to tie me to the mortal bonds, I find that going into battle is not so much a choice, but fate." Zyl bows after saying all of this.

"Ah, I like that. Someone who fights for no reason and is willing to die because they have nothing to lose" approved Frohirim, "I've been looking for someone like you."

Their conversation was interrupted as an older man stumbled forward from a crowd that Zyl had barely noticed. Frohirim turned, looking at the man with an eyebrow raised.

Damn old age, Jethro thought as he got up. Good thing it hasn't impeded my ability to get up at all.
Jethro faced both men and said, "I should see it insulting enough that a fight has started between soldiers of the same side, but even more so when I here such a disrespectful soldier talk down to his elder. We are on the verge of battle, and you are sparring to see if people are worthy of fighting? Only battle itself can decide that!"
Noticing Forhirim, he bowed and said, "Apologies for the intrusion, my lord. Certainly you must know as well how dangerous it is to fight with soldiers of the same side?"
"His proving himself was not my desicion." Zyl looks at the old man with slight contempt, which fades into apathy as he says "And I care not whether you be elder than I, for you are not Immortalis." Bowing back to Frohirim, "Ideed, seeing how one fights is important in selection of assignment."

Frohirim isn't ready to dismiss the man quite yet, "he has a point, however. Skill is not the only defining factor of a good soldier... respect, honour and character can grant the Sancti the upper hand on an immoral and selfish foe."
"I'm not saying I do not have respect, sire. I am merely saying that no one should expect to deserve special treatment, except those that are worthy of it."

Young people have no respect anymore, Jethro thought irritably.
"All soldiers are worth just as much as the one next to them on the battlefield, NO special treatment there. Then we are only pawns, ALL of us, commanded by our military lord Frohirim." He bowed towards the Immortalis as he ended his phrase.
Frohirim affirmed Jethro's statement, "I could use a wise man like yourself to accompany me." Turning to Zyl, he asked a question that was more of a statement, "you don't have any objections to him coming along, do you?"

"It would be an honor, my lord," Jethro replied. He would've wanted to know where he was going, though knew it better to not question the Immortalis' command.
Turning to Zyl, he said, "My apologies for being so rude before. Hope there are no hard feelings with my words. Now that we'll be fighting together, best not to be angry at all with each other."

"That's a good characteristic for a soldier to have," Jethro remarks, "lest you risk letting rage blind your true ambitions." Turning back to Frohirim, he says, "Where shall we venture on this outing of yours, if I may ask my lord?"

He lead the two through the courtyard, past a garden and into a large building that resembled a crematorium from the outside. It was almost gothic in its look with high ceilings and white stone walls. Frohirim pointed to a table, "please have a seat. I'll be back in a few moments. In the mean-time, please get to know each other."
