The girl turned to look back at Kiego and as she did so, lost her balance. The blonde slid across the floor of the hallway, not far from Kiego. Her shawl slid along the ground as her skirt twisted around her legs, leaving her in a crumpled mess.
The girl looked up at him, looking bewildered and terrified. When she spoke, she had a pleasant accent. It was unlike anything he had ever heard before, but it was elegant and melodic, "I'm sorry... I shouldn't be here."
Kiego's face screwed up a bit, Jeez this one is a bit odd. Kiego liked Botony a lot, but he sure as hell couldn't "feel" the presence of new plants out of nowhere.
She shook her head, "well... I think we're the same... we both manipulate plants. But I... I'm a little bit different. I'm afraid I can't explain why." Kiego could feel that she was different. When he helped her up, he could feel a link with her that he couldn't quite understand. Maybe they had established a connection through the plants in his lab but it almost felt like he was already a part of her.
"Well...okay your a wood adept like me...look, how about I show you the lab real quick and you can check out this "new" plant. I'm not in any real hurry."
Kiego had mixed feelings of sheer curiosity about this interesting wood mage, and utter bewilderment of the oddity of it all.
"It's no problem, this way you'll be able to forget about this nonsense soon enough and get back to your life. Just promise me next time that you'll just ask me if you need to know about something in the lab."
Kiego opened the lab door, and led her into the room.
"Umm..." she murmured as she tugged on his arm, "I know this seems like a silly question... but just in case I need to ask for you sometime... you know, for permission... who are you?"
She smiled, "I'm Kiayulen, or Kia for short. I... um... I just moved here." She offered her hand to shake as Kiego listened to the exoticness of her accent.
"Far away" she answered ambiguously. She found the plan she had been looking for and peered at it, "wow... this is unreal. Why does it feel so strange?"
In a move that was completely unprovoked, the girl peeked back and looked directly as where Rasaguas was. The imaginary beast was staying far away from the plant as the girl looked at it, "why is your beast so afraid of this thing?"
"Wait..." she began as she drew a hand to her mouth and here eyes widened, "oh goodness, I shouldn't have said anything." Kia jumped up and walked quickly to the door, "I have to go. Nice meeting you."
"Wait hold on! You know something about Rasaguas, he's always been a mystery to me, please don' go!"
Kiego tried to go after Kia as she made her way out of the lab. He didn't want to let a chance to finally unravel the mystery of Rasaguas walk it's way casually out of his life.
"No, I shouldn't have said anything" she reiterated as she stopped and turned to him. Her face was one of confusion as he felt the connection between them signal that she was hiding something significant.
She sighed, "I wish I could, professor. It's just that... there are some things that are better left unknown. Just... don't tell anyone what I said to you, okay? Where I'm from... that's kind of sensitive information."

"That was a nasty fall, you know there's no need to run...I'm not some creepy serial killer or something," Kiego joked, smiling jovially.

"Oh that one, I had been looking at that a bit earlier today, it's definitely an odd one. No matter what I do I can't control it."
Kiego thought it would be best to leave out mention of Rasaguas, it would be a little too much to explain to this new stranger.

A bit suprised at Rasaguas' sudden appearance, Kiego just simply stammered, "Uhhh..."
"Well he's certainly not very friendly looking. Most enrai are much more intimate with their controllers."
