His feet were slowly accumulating more sand as Endri continued on unhindered. Her slimmer, more petite feet seemed to manoeuvrer through the wet sand more nimbly. Still, she looked incredibly nervous.
The further they walked, the more they could make out; in front of them were vast coral formations, some which appeared to be taller than even a person. The two of them were still too far to see the exact scale of the rocks.
"Wow..." muttered Endri as they came closer the the coral formations, revealing that they looked anything but natural. Though the water refracted any detail on the vast rocks, Jaret could see some symmetry in the formations that was far too beautiful to be coincidence.
"indeed wow, they look like they've been reflected through a mirror or something, they're just so similar to each other." Jaret trudged on towards the coral formations
"Maybe it's the just effect of the water... or else something might have made those things. Either way, I'm excited to explore." Endri clapped her hands excitedly, hopping from place to place as she drifted through the water, "come on, I'll race you there!"
What little he did know about this girl, he knew that her energy was boundless. She was already several feet ahead of him and despite his best efforts, Jaret could not catch her. With every quick stride he took, Jaret wondered who this girl was... and what made her kill two men just hours ago.
Jaret did indeed ponder these thoughts, and finally decided that it was time to ask "Endri, wait!" he said, trying his best to catch up to her "there's something i need to ask you, where are you from, and why were you being accosted by those men there, i must know"
"You, a jerk?" she asked, genuinely baffled but clearly trying to change the subject, "I don't think so at all. Heck, you just saved a complete stranger."
She shook her head, "I was with someone I shouldn't have been. I was smitten and stupid and I made some mistakes. If I tell you what happened, I'm afraid that you'll leave me here."
"It was a girl..." she muttered, barely whispering, "and I kissed her." The girl turned away, blushing bright red and wrapping her arms around herself.
The further they walked, the more they could make out; in front of them were vast coral formations, some which appeared to be taller than even a person. The two of them were still too far to see the exact scale of the rocks.
