Zayina enjoyed every moment, as she felt Roth's heartbeat, his fingers gently making their way across her back, the holding kiss that let this feel more like a dream to her, a very real dream, a very good one ...
Roth slowly moved his hands lower, making his way to the bottom of her dress pulling it upward just a few inches before lingering against her leg and waiting for her to give him a signal if he had gone too far.
Zayina felt him hesitate, but she didn't mind really, although it brought back a memory, no, she didn't care, for her mind wanted this, it was curious for what was to come, what had happened had felt so right, why wouldn't this feel the same? She just stared at him, moving her arm a bit and kissed him again.
She could feel her dress sliding up her leg, his soft touch making its way higher and higher. It was nearly at her bottom and Zayina could feel his heart beating faster and his manhood pressed against her firmly.
A sharp howl interrupted them as Roth broke their kiss and looked concerned, "Rouffles?"
Roth gently pushed against Zayina, his cheeks growing red as what they had been doing fully dawned on him. "Do you mind..." he bashfully implored, "... I need to make sure everything is okay."
"I guess it's saver if we stay close to each other, so I'll come with you I think." she said as she looked back into Roth's eyes, their love for each other was obvious now, she still felt a bit weird about everything that they had done just now, but at least it felt good ...
Another howl came from somewhere in the darkness and Roth tugged at Zayina, pulling her as they ran toward the sound. With a snap of his fingers, the prince conjured a flame and illuminated the darkness to reveal Rouffles fighting another one of his kind. The other was much larger and was lunging at Rouffles wildly as their mount tried to defend itself.
Zayina tried to control the accendo to form a wind strong enough to blow the beast attacking Rouffles of his feat to give them time, but she didn't know if it would work as the accendo might not even be available right now.
The best she could muster was a tiny whirlwind that fizzled as it moved just a few feet. Roth jumped into action, snapping his fingers and pointing as a jet of fire shot forth from his fingertips, singeing the enemy beast's face. Rouffles stood back, ready to pounce as his master sent out a jet of water to cool the flames and not cause an unnecessary amount of pain to the creature. Finally, the prince raised his hands and made a wave in the earth, sending the beast onto its back with force. Rouffles' attacker whimpered as it ran away, making a not to stay away from the mount of a powerful adept.
Rouffles brushed up against Roth appreciatively as the prince patted his mount's head. The canine like mount walked away, tired from its battle and curled up under a tree.
Roth looked back at Zayina, his heart still beating from having to summon spells on such short notice. He took a few steps closer to her before averting his eyes, his face growing a shade of pink, "so about... earlier. I... I kind of... I liked that."
He kissed her lips gently again, "good, because I'd really hate to be the only one who... feels the way I do." He took her hand, walking back to the fire to keep warm. The two sat down by the fire, huddling together even though the fire's warmth was more than enough to keep the cold away, "so I noticed that you were trying to summon the accendo. It takes some getting used to out here."
"Yeah, I thought that was the problem, I felt so powerless ... but with your help I know I'll be able to get used to it soon enough." Zayina said, her head resting on his lap, her hand holding his.
"Right, I'll help you learn tomorrow morning. I think tonight, we just need to rest." His free hand ran gently through her hair as he lowered himself so that they were laying, facing each other and simply gazing into one another's eyes.
Totally at rest in Roth's presence Zayina closed her eyes peacefully, drifting of into deep sleep, although the day had been good and strange in a way, it had also been tiring for her.
Dreams were an important part of Roth's culture and that night, she dreamt of her future with him. They walked through the streets, hand in hand. Many people bowed to them, offering fruits and vegetables as they strolled through the market. Every young girl eyed Zayina, wondering what she could possibly possess that none of them did and every male wondered how Roth had found such a captivating queen. As Roth smiled at Zayina, they felt the earth tremble. The stands of the market collapsed, sending good flying and with a violent jolt of the earth, a chasm opened in the ground. Roth used his earth mastery to close the rift, but it held for only a few seconds as they were sent high into the air. Their descent felt like it was in slow motion as, just like her dream before, she could see death below her but could do nothing to stop it.
Zayina opened her eyes, drops of sweat where dripping from her face as she jolted up and looked around, Roth? Where was he? She didn't know if this was a nightmare or reality, neither way she wanted to lose Roth ...
The sun was barely rising, and it took her a moment for her eyes to adjust to see Roth's silhouette traced against the sunrise, sitting reflectively and smoking his pipe. Rouffles was off in the distance, running around giddily.
Zayina slowly stood up and made her way to Roth, sitting down next to him and giving him a quick kiss on his cheek. She didn't say anything yet, as her mind was still awakening from the nightmare.
Internally, Roth felt like he had become someone else; like he was finally not the only one like him in the world. He turned and kissed her on the mouth, trying to make sure she was in fact still willing to be with him, "good morning, beautiful. How was your sleep?"
She rested her head against his shoulder, then answered his question "I had a nightmare again, it was about us, we where walking together when suddenly the earth rumbled and a chasm opened ... everyone died except us, and I couldn't do anything to prevent it ..." two lonely tears welled up in her eyes as she told about the nightmare.
