"Enemy of yours, love? Let me guess... he's an earth adept, no?" Zayina guessed, taking Roth's hand to give him a bit of reassurance and staring into his eyes affectionately.
"And lover of mine" bashfully admitted Tilia, not daring to look at her brother. Roth's expression looked angry and yet worried, "yes, and Earth adept but much much more."
Beneath them, the ground was still rumbling ominously. It seemed with each passing second, the tremors grew slightly stronger until Zayina could see a dark clump of something moving on the horizon.
ooc: this is going to be interesting... another family affair
Zayina was worried by the approaching 'thing', and more worried because Roth was worried, she was surprised by Tilia sudden admittance, yet she had no time to think about that. She looked up at her fiancé "Roth... is that him?"
"It must be" he replied, watching the blackening horizon carefully.
The ground was shaking violently and yet the spires had not lit. The cloud was coming closer now and all three companions gasped as they realized what was charging toward them.
Zayina stood stunned for a moment at seeing such a gigantic, unstoppable force coming at them, but she quickly took lead by asking "What do we do now? We certainly can't fight such a force..."
The ground beneath them was shaking fiercely as Roth nodded, smiling at both Zayina and Tilia, "stay safe." Before either of them could respond, Roth closed his eyes and a fissure in the ground was created around them.
The golems were mere metres away from the first line of goblin defences and as the ground surged into the air with Roth's fiance and his sister on it, Zayina could see the golems crash into the goblins from high above the battlefield. It was only now that she remembered her dream.
The time for talk was quickly dwindling as Roth uttered two words that sunk deep into Zayina's soul, "trust me." He kissed her quickly on the lips, leaving his warmth lingering for just a moment before jumping off the floating rock and into the chaos below.
Again, fearing to lose him, Zayina was on the brink of tears. And as Roth turned, letting go of her hand, leaving her in fear once again, her hand followed his as the fingers slipped away. She could have grasped them, she could have refused to let him go, but she did not. Now, a tear rolling down her cheek, as if this time it would really be the last moment she would see him, she whispered pleadingly "Be safe... please..." Her arm fell back as he jumped, she was helpless, bound to watch again, only able to pray for his safe return...
Beneath them, the ground was still rumbling ominously. It seemed with each passing second, the tremors grew slightly stronger until Zayina could see a dark clump of something moving on the horizon.
