Found around Isadore are tents for recruitment. They're usually simple. Two spears hold up the front of the tent, a tent usually made of either rough cloth of the company's colors, or sewn together capes and leather armor from dead or disabled fighters. Inside you'll find a sergeant, two guards, and a witness. The sergeant takes down the information of any new recruit before giving them a hot meal. Then the recruits join together in a line to march off to boot camp.
When they finally get to their destination, recruits are given two choices. Either go through boot camp to hone what skills they have, or join the company straight out. Going through boot camp is for recruits with no skills, no weapons, no armor. They will work on their skills in whatever way they see fit, they're given training in a weapon, and will go on various easy missions. They may gain interesting items for their time spent. Going straight into the company implies the recruit is knowledgeable in their skills and ready to fight. They're given a weapon and some basic leather armor. They miss out on any items from boot camp. Recruits are asked to decide on their path at sign-up.
Name: Samuel (Sammy) Theadore Matthews

Appearance: An aqiual with some minor human traits. He has short silver hair. His skin is the typical blue, translucent color, and his eyes are dark. He has a scar on his right hand, so he usually hides it behind his cloak, despite it being fully usable. He is left handed.
Apparel: He wears a silver shirt that matches the color of his hair. He is dressed in human clothes, so they do not fit him very well. He also wear a small leather necklace with a sharks tooth tied to the end. It is the only reminder of his Aqiual life.
Personality: Typically, he is very jovial, but he is known to be somber at times. When fighting, he gets very emotionally invested. He does not learn well without a good teacher. People tend to like him, be he will only open up to a few close friends. These connections become very close, and he can trust them enough to sense how they are feeling sometimes.
Background: A five year old, happy aqiual boy was being raised happily by his parents. One day however, a band of rogue fighters attacked the house of this boy and a few others. His parents were killed in front of his eyes but he esaped. He can still remember this, but he represses it most of the time. Two human mages adopted him and gave him the name Sammy (his original name is still unknown to him). His parents were strict, but typically kind. They moved into a house near a river, so he could live like a normal Aqiual. On the other side of the house was a large windy plain on which he studied the wind and it's effects. His parents helped him to control the wind, with minor magic spell. He never was very good at magic, but he was persistent, and his parents were always there to help. He also was skill with the bow he was given for his tenth birthday, he still uses the same one. He went to human school, he was shunned by some, but other liked to have an Aqiual friend. As for fighting, he loves to fight from afar, or even from under the water. He uses the wind to control his bow with even more precision. He can also hide well both in the water and in the trees.
Over Sammy's first quest, he was truly betrayed for the first time. Sammy really does not open up to people unless they are close friends, but usually his kind personality keeps them friends forever. Having someone leave him for another sparked a dark change within Sammy. He still feels pain in his right hand, and he now has a scar there (attached image coming soon) Due to this he hides his right hand behind his cloak, despite the fact that it is fully usable. He is left handed. He also cut his long hair to be pretty short. Eventually, he returned to the camp however, with a clear head. He had practically forgotten what had happened.

Wind Shield- Sammy concentrated a small bit of air in front of him. This wind becomes more dense and sturdy and powerful. He can use this as a small shield, but he mainly uses it to push other things away. As the spells fades away, we can shot it out in front of him to try to cause some damage or to try to push something away.
Mini-Tornado-Sammy pushes a small bit of air with his finger. He then spins his finger many times, creating a very small tornado. It can pick up small items from the ground, but it is still at a small phase as he just learned this. It does not have much of an effect for battle yet.
Weapons:
-Sammy has an old Longbow, but it can barely fire anymore, and is mostly senimental. He still likes to use this for training.
-When Sammy first joined Bootcamp, he recieved a standard longbow. It is much less decorated, and more poorly crafted than his other bow, but it is new and not worn, therefore much more powerful.
-He has a quiver full of slightly thicker, and coarser-grained arrows. This allows for wind to alter the flight of these arrows more easily.
Armor:
-Sammy has a long black mage's cloak that he wears. He used to never pull up the hood, but he has started to put it up more and more. It covers most of his body, but leaves his hands exposed. It is very light, which is good for Sammy, as he likes to move quickly and to hide. It also has a slight charm which makes him a little harder to see from a distance.
Items:
He carries around a small glass Harmonica, Aqiual made. He can only play it fairly well, but when he plays it, he always get somber in memory of his parents.
Appearance~ Silvery hair flowing down to the back of his neck with light blue skin, and fins slightly darker.
Apparel~ Light clothing with minimal restriction of movement, usually oddly arrayed or out of fashion.
Personality~ Krensae is usually quiet, absorbing information he hears and even eavesdropping just so he can learn more. Even though it is odd for him to speak to landwalkers, he likes to speak with embelishment. He has a wide taste in all forms of art, and is especially entranced by quality music.
Background~ Krensae likes knowledge, and has decided to journey out of the water to find out more about the world he exists in. Joining up with a group of other mostly-random people seems like the easiest and most interesting way to do this. He is used to long trips and scouring for food, and prefers using tools that always worked for him while he lived in water. He has always been inquisitive, usually getting zapped by an eel he was studying or getting an arm stuck in some rocks he was feeling the arrayment. His parents were fairly successful farmers, with some high grade shrimp in their territory. They indulged in most of his whims and fancies because they were from poor families. His mother was a peasant and his father ex-military. Yet they still kept tight pocket strings, and when he callously returned their voiced unease at his disintrest in any secure future with a remark that farming and riverbuilding were unimaginative and boring, they cut him off to get him to comply with their wishes. Instead, he used the things he learned to fend for himself, creating a small cave of interlaced rocks as shelter and using traps or laying in wait for prey to swim by. Shortly before he left, he returned and showed them that there are other ways one can live in the world than the established norm.
Abilities Krensae is adept with a spear or quarterstaff, and he is able to utilize this with his sensitive skin to take on multiple opponents easier.

Apparel: Just a simple shirt, pants, and a belt that dry quickly, as he's apt to swim from time to time.
Personality: Bellamin is much like water in his personality: he normally is very subdued, but is not unlikely to become emotional at times.
Background: Bellamin has been fairly carefree his whole life. Even from a young age, it was not unusual to find him missing early in the day, and by mid-afternoon, spot him swimming in the river jovially. When he came of age, with his parent's blessing, he decided to go and see the world. He returned for a visit a couple of years after he left home, only to find that his father was murdered in his absence by a band of superstitious peasants while heading to market. Bellamin since has lost some of his carefree attitude, and has become more focused and somewhat more emotional as well.
Abilities: Bellamin is apt at not attracting attention from others when he wants to remain hidden or unnoticed, despite his odd looks. He's also a powerful swimmer, and can hold his breath longer than most aquials.

Appearance: Thousandson looks a little hardened as he has worked hard in the mines of his mountain home. He has eyes the color of deep amber. He is well built and like all dwarves has a long thick brown beard. His hair is the same length and it ties back into a pony tail.
Apparel: A miner’s tunic and heavy belt. He also carries his miners helmet. Here and there you can see metal rings intertwined into his clothing. His stein and pipe can always be found a hands reach away.
Personality: Thousandson is a typical dwarf. He works hard, loves gold, can drink just about anyone under the table. He isn’t particularly fond of Elves but has learned to deal with them. Overall he is an easy going type. Never asks for trouble but is willing to fight if he has to.
Background: Thousandson left his mountain home because he sought out greater knowledge of metals and other compounds. He has traveled for some time and has seen some things that he never though existed. He is continually searching for new minerals and seeks out caves all over the world. The only problem is to do so he needs help. That has caused him to seek out more adventurers. Maybe with help he can find some of the greatest metals and treasure anyone has found before. As for his use of magic a dwarf never reveals his secrets. His small use of earth magic has aided him in breaking some of the hardest stones. If asked about his past he will only mention the mines. They are all he thinks about and remembers. A dwarfs life is measured in gold.
Abilities: Having mined for years Thousandson has become a master of the pickaxe (at least in his mind and dwarves are very stubborn). Its an odd thing but he is quite talented with it and wields it as a deadly weapon. Also having worked with stone and metal for so long if he is presented with something made of it he is pretty familiar with what makes it up. There are exceptions though as he hasn’t had much experience with exotic materials except for a very minor experience with mythril.

OOC: Ok so I am still playing up the pickaxe thing as it essentially an modified axe proficiency. I know I'm level one in the skill so I will add ego behind his skill for the time being as everyone knows that Dwarves are proud of themselves.
VideoJuegos: We're going to be avoiding any mental magics right now. I'm afraid this means that you need to drop the ability.
As well, for his magic. Wind magic has four skills: Speed, pressure, control, and 'area'. Speed of the wind, compactness of the air (for solidity), control of the direction as well as concentration in high-distraction areas, and then how big of an area you can create. Gusts could be speed, I suppose. Cutting winds could possibly be pressure. Tailwinds shouldn't be skill, but a spell you create later. Defensive winds, I assume, is a combination of a Warding spell with wind. However, to do that, you have a singular Warding skill (not a combination) that you use with your spells.
Keifru: No T in Aqiual. I like the use of the sensitive skin; that's a good ability. The harp is fine as well. That's a good choice in an additional, and not incredibly useful for battle. I'm interested in seeing where you want that to go when you're higher. Remember, Aqiuals look like water-made humans. They're not fish.
Boros: Swimming ad the survivals are good. But, as I told Video: Your magic has a specific set of skills. Temperature (the heat or cold of the water), force (the speed the water moves), control (what direction, what shape its in, and how well you can do it as you are distracted), and area (how much water you can control). Barriers are under Buff: Ward, not under water.
Fenris: Same thing on Earth spells. Density, weight, control, area are your skills. In addition, he may be (flavorwise) a master pickaxe weilder. Or, at least, in his own mind. In the company, he's no better than any other level 1. And, apologies, but you can't start with a weapon... Well...
Forgot to put this up there, guys. Please say whether you are starting out in boot camp (better idea), or the company. Boot camp starts you at level 1 with every skill, no weapon, no armor. However, you have the chance to go on quests, up skills, and get items. If you go to the company straight out, you get level 2 in all skills (which assumes you trained all equally in bootcamp) and get a weapon of your choice as well as leather armor. But you miss out on any nifty items, and you miss out on initial skill definition. It's up to you.

Name: Aruven Nimethil Age: 132 Height: 1,78 metres Weight: 67 kilos Race: Elven Appearance: Aruven is a slender girl with light brown hair and green eyes. She has a well-formed body and seems to have some aura hanging around her which says that she knows a lot more then you do. Apparel: She wears light coloured dresses most of the time, preferably ones which allow the wears to move freely. She wears almost no jewellery, except for two broad wristbands. Personality: Aruven is a bitter woman. She’s seen a lot in life and has been scarred by it. She has a dark sense of humour. She’s learned to control that side of her though, she’s a nice person to be with most of the time. However, from time to time, she gets a bit nostalgic. She then tends to go to a forest or large tree, sitting there for hours thinking about a long gone past. Background:
Aruven was born in a small Elven community near the Northern Border. She grew up there and left at a relatively young age to discover the world. The only things she took with her from home were an ocarina and the clothes she was wearing. She wasn’t prepared well for what was waiting her out there though.
She got into trouble in the first town where she entered. She didn’t have any money to pay for her food in the tavern and she was forced to work there. She kept working there even after paying her debts though, just to make a little money.
One night, while working at the pub, she saw a man, a human, and instantly fell in love with him. She followed him around for a while and after a few weeks, he confessed his love to her. They lived together for about ten years when they got their first child. The **** hit the fan once more when a disease spread throughout the area and even got into their home. Their three year old son died because of it. Both Aruven and her husband were heartbroken by it. He died shortly after because of the same disease.
Aruven became clinically depressed. She just sat in her home, grieving at her loss. She stopped doing anything, she almost didn’t eat anymore, her sleep was disturbed by nightmares of her dead child and husband and she started to become insane bit by bit. This eventually ended in a suicide attempt; she cut her wrists. She survived though, a neighbour found her lying on the ground unconscious. She took Aruven to a doctor, which took care of Aruven. The only thing that still remind her of her near-dead experience are two scars on her wrists.
She was able to get out of the depression at last and started doing normal things again. She decided to leave the house; it reminded her of too many things. She took only her ocarina and the clothes she was wearing. And her money, this time, she was prepared.
She joined a travelling group of (con) artists, where her ocarina was appreciated. She left them after a few years; the group had become old and most of the members wanted to settle down. Aruven didn’t. She was just getting started.
She travelled to the larger cities where she got some pretty hefty debts once more. She got into even more troubles when she tried to pickpocket (something she’d learned when travelling with the artists) the wrong guy and he found out. She had to leave the city and went into the next one, where should got even more debts. She fled out of the one too, when she saw a tent, where she seemed to be able to get work.

She is slender, her skin is a bit darker than that of some other elves (a very light Japanese pigment).
Her appearance is that of natural beauty, her skin is soft, her hands small, her black hair reaches down to her waist.
To be short, she a very attractive woman (some might say girl because of her young look). Apparel: She wears a black cloak which covers her body up to the knees, it also has a hood which covers most of her face in shadows, the clothes underneath the cloak are mostly colored dark-green or black.
Her boots are made of soft, comfortable black leather and they reach up to just under her knees.
She wears a small silver necklace with a single small emerald on it.
Also, Liya has a black belt around her waist, hidden from eyes by her cloak, it has pockets where she stores her most valuable items in, it also gives the possibility to sheet a sword in it. Personality: Mostly a very calm person, Liya loves sitting on the side of a stream with her bare feet in the water, playing a lovely melody on the small flute she always carries with her.
She loves water, as it is one of the most important components of the world itself, she also loves those things that grow as they use the water to grow themselves.
She is very gentle, good at making friends, light-hearted, but she can be cold-hearted if needed.
Because of her kindness, her gentle way of speaking, her sweat voice and her well-built and attractive body she is trusted by most people. Background:
Liya was born as the third child of her father Galdin Faruvien and her mother Arinien.
Her sister Hathil, who was three years older, died of a desease when Liya was 6 years old, her mother was broken from that moment and would never be the same.
In the first two decades of her life her playmate was her seven years older brother Natharin, who was alwys kind to her and was a great example for her.
Then, when she was 28 years war waged, her father died and her brother came back home carried by soldiers, the shaman of the village attempted to save him but to no avail, he died 5 days after his return.
Since then Liya and her mother lived a sad life, her small flute produced only sad melodies instead of the happy onces it normally made.
Then, five years ago another war raged, this time the humans turned against the village, it was burned along with most of its residents, her mother died but she fled.
Days she ran through the woods, weakening, but she knew how to survive and soon after she reached a town.

Guys, I didn't notice, but Niadar did, that you guys seem to have missed something about the way the weapon skills work. Please refer to the discussion thread, where I'll explain a little more clearly.
Appearance: Janon's hair and eyes are a non-descript brown. He has a well-tanned (but not quite dark) complexion.
Apparel: Janon prefers plain, coarse clothing. He dislikes bright and garish coloring. His typical wardrobe consists of a cotton tunic, leather trousers, belt, boots, and a heavy cotton cloak for cold weather and precipitation.
Personality: Slightly belligerent, but fairly laid back. However, he doesn't hesitate to act when he's angry or there's a job to be done. Janon is loyal, mostly honest and hard-working. Violating his trust is a good way to get on his bad side.
Background: Raised by a gamewarden, Janon knew neither poverty nor wealth. He did his chores and enjoyed nature. Eventually, he realized it was time to leave and sustain himself. He did odd jobs at the nearby town, but quickly realized that he had no interest in craftmanship. Janon wished for more excitement, and decided that a mercenary company would see more action than a soldier or guard.
Abilities: Janon is not picky about what he eats or where he sleeps. He'll eat just about anything that's edible, and doesn't have a problem with sleeping on the ground. Janon is also adept at foraging for food.

Sammy: Fix 'weapon proficiency' to 'accuracy', 'damage', and 'multi-shot' (the longbow's special skill). I know it's very weak, but it's still beyond what we want right now. I promise, though, we'll have mentle magics when the game truly takes off.
Keif: You can take magic if you want. Just use the skills that magic requires, that's all. I'll point out, though, that you can advance faster in your current skills if you don't have magic on top of it. Approved either way.
Bellamin: This name reminds me of pikmin. Approved.

Aruven: As long as you keep the main line the same, you're groovy. You might put Pick Pocketing as a skill, not an ability. Sounds like she'd head for the thieving section. Keif has an ocarina skill; you can do the same if you like. Lastly, make it clear that she's either interested in the magic and can't do it, or she can do it. Either way, approved.
Liya: As long as you are aware that these wars are not big ones, just minor scale dukedom things. Also, try not to set precedents (like light skinned elves) without permission from a mod. I don't see anything wrong with a dark skinned elf. Change the weapon proficiency in the way described to Sammy and you should be golden.
Aleandra: So she's charismatic and all that jazz. Groovy. As for skills and magic, the following changes should be made: Bandaging wounds (and you might want to put medicine in there too) should be put at level 1. The other three we're gonna need eventually. Put them at a level 1 as well. Healing magic has its own skills (area, duration, concentration and potency, I believe), so be sure to use them. AFter these minor edits, approved.
Janon: Just change 'two handed swords' to the skills for swords (accuracy, damage, parrying) and you're groovy. Approved.

Most importantly, I am blind in my left eye, and scars still streak across it like etchings of a dark past. My hair is a ragged black. My face is long and disciplined. Apparel: I usually wear plain robes, though many are frayed at various parts. I enjoy wearing brown sandals that have been worn through the sands of time. I sometimes patch up my Personality: I am stern and bold, fast and agile. I am quick to make remarks, often without thinking, but my constant vigor and decisiveness can often lead me to make quick work of less agile foes. However, I am somewhat clumsy and slow to recover from darting maneuvers because of my poor eyesight.
I am loyal but easy to anger. More often I am a loner, the product of my childhood.
I frequently have devastating nightmares that leave me in a panic upon awakening. On occasion, I writhe in pain during these dreams. Background: I have traveled the landscape for as long as I can remember as a nomad, killing small animals to eat and stopping in towns for many months before leaving. I do not remember my parents, but I believe them to be the ones that gave me my pendant. On it is an eye of silver with a streak through it; on the back, it reads "Son of Storms". I can only imagine being birthed right out of a lightning bolt, with clouds as my mother and rain as my father. My life's desire is to discover my past, since I cannot remember life with a second eye, yet I somehow know I lost it at one point. I may never know, but that hope is still the fuel of my life. Well, about the color of the skin, it is more a bit Japanese flavoured, but it is still light.
Japanese women tend to have a bit darker skin than Western women, so I don't mean real dark (African- or Latin-like) skin.

Anyways, what I meant was, try not to make statements like "unlike other elves that usually have light skin'. That kind of screws with other players. But I understood what you were doing.
Dark: I have no problem with the weather sense. Just know that controlling it will be a very high level skill, somewhere around 8-10. If you're fine with that, approved.

Appearance and Apparel: Tall and Thin, Jadyn is not one to be taken lightly. Years of working with his mother and father around his home has put a layer of muscle on his bones that you wouldn't guess was there until too late. He came to the Station wearing a green tunic and breeches suitable to wear stalking the woods for a deer. He has kind of dark skin, but not too dark. His long shoulder-length hair is a forest green and his sky-blue eyes that seem to be laughing as if he thinks something is funny.
Personality: Jadyn is a lighthearted fellow, who is never the last one to get a joke. that being said, he is VERY passionate about doing what he does to the best of his ability.
Background: Jadyn comes from a small community in the southern border, if it could be called a community, he lived at least 20 minutes walk from the nearest family. He was raised by his mother and father. Being an only child, if not, then the oldest of any future siblings, he was taught the way of the sword by his father, who had served Isadore in combat many years before and had rose to high rank, and skills of survival and healing by his mother. when he came of age his father gave him a golden necklace with a sword hanging point down on it (OOC: small sword, not actually functional as a weapon unless you really want to get that close IC: ). Jadyn asked leave of his family to explore the world, and was granted it. he wandered for months, living off the land until he made his way to the recruiting station.

Appearance: A wide smile is the first thing a passerby notices about Suven, followed shortly by a long scar through his right eye which could be related to the way he squints it slightly. He is fairly short, but with plenty of muscle to make up for it.
Apparel: Suven carries a leather satchel over his shoulder wherever he goes and will not easily part with it, even when going into battle. He guards the contents carefully against people he doesn't trust yet.
Personality: Suven is abound with excitement all the time. His motto is "Life is a smile and a chuckle." He loves to find the comedic side of any situation if he can. While that may make him sound like a practical-joker, Suven tries not to tease people who don't understand him and could be offended. He is also an obedient person, unless told to shut up.
Background: Suven first tried his hand at living as a philosopher, he wished to spread his motto and make hilarious people out of the whole world. Sadly, no one embraced his ideas. Sure people would listen and compliment him on his creativeness, but no one took real interest. He decided (or rather, his hunger and poverty decided for him) to join a company for the swiftest meal possible.
Abilities: Suven manages to always find something to laugh about in a situation and is prone to telling his joke to anyone in the vicinity. Not much will depress him.

Blood magic also changes blood mages apearnces giving jet black skin with red bloodshot eyes. His teeth are also pointed like a barracuda but can't be used as a weapon.
Apparel: He wears a face mask like Kakashi from Naruto that is red and wears a black shirt with red pants and again black boots. He also has red gloves and a red belt. All the red clothing gets its color from being dyed in blood. Most of it is cloth.
Personality: a blood mage means the understanding of pain. Being taught at such a young age caused Zanrod to be a cold killer. Emotionally disturbed due to his whole childhood being spent on killing and harsh training. He will keep to himself, but talks if he feels like it. He does not believe in useless destruction so he doesn’t go on killing sprees. Quiet but when he takes something personally he can express his anger. (I based Zanrod off of Gaara from Naruto.)
Background: Normally blood mages learn when they are older like around 30. But Zanrod was taught at the age of 5. The clan leaders were hoping that they could create some sort of new mage and Zanrod was the guinea pig. But the plan was a failure and Zanrod killed those trying to infuse him with dead blood mage power. But he was still strong from suriving the process so they taught him and raised him in the way of the blood mage. His belief in killing is his purpose causes him to join as a mercenary.
Abilities: Zanrod knows how to use a hook chain. Also knows a lot about human anatomy.

Name: Brian 'Spark' Mill Age: 21 (looks closer to 18) Height: 5'8" Weight: 130lbs Race: Human Appearance: Lithely built and average sized, Brian is not remarkable in appearance. His mousey brown hair is stylishly unkempt and fails to get in the way of his grey-green eyes. His features are gentle and his complexion is fairly good. Apparel: Brian sticks to the darker end of the spectrum, be it olive greens, navy blues or straight greys and blacks. He has a number of acceptable shirts and pants for most regular occasions. His most worn outfit consists of a navy blue shirt and black pants, with black boots. Personality: Brian probably would have been a brat if he hadn't been orphaned. Over confident and prone to making slightly careless mistakes, he is none the less rather intelligent and fairly good at talking his way out of trouble. Being a natural magic user makes him slightly more irritating to a lot of people, due to his tendency towards being smug. Background: Brian was orphaned at the age of 6, and doesn't remember much about his parents. He was raised in a home with eight other kids, and spent most of his life getting into little scraps and predicaments. By the time he was 12 Brian had discovered his talent for magical manipulation and had begun to use it to help him get by. He earned the nickname 'Spark' by generating red fleck of light from his fists when he was threatened, a bluff that no-one his age was willing to call him on. When he was 16 he left the orphanage and tried to make his way in the world. He spent five years attempting simple sleight of hand tricks and cons, earning just enough to get by and slipping out of the small troubles he got himself into. After a particularly close call with a lawman he stumbled into a bar and ended up chatting with a mercenary veteran. Thinking it over for a couple of days, Brian decided there were worse ideas.

When they finally get to their destination, recruits are given two choices. Either go through boot camp to hone what skills they have, or join the company straight out. Going through boot camp is for recruits with no skills, no weapons, no armor. They will work on their skills in whatever way they see fit, they're given training in a weapon, and will go on various easy missions. They may gain interesting items for their time spent. Going straight into the company implies the recruit is knowledgeable in their skills and ready to fight. They're given a weapon and some basic leather armor. They miss out on any items from boot camp. Recruits are asked to decide on their path at sign-up.

Appearance: An aqiual with some minor human traits. He has short silver hair. His skin is the typical blue, translucent color, and his eyes are dark. He has a scar on his right hand, so he usually hides it behind his cloak, despite it being fully usable. He is left handed.
Apparel: He wears a silver shirt that matches the color of his hair. He is dressed in human clothes, so they do not fit him very well. He also wear a small leather necklace with a sharks tooth tied to the end. It is the only reminder of his Aqiual life.
Personality: Typically, he is very jovial, but he is known to be somber at times. When fighting, he gets very emotionally invested. He does not learn well without a good teacher. People tend to like him, be he will only open up to a few close friends. These connections become very close, and he can trust them enough to sense how they are feeling sometimes.
Background: A five year old, happy aqiual boy was being raised happily by his parents. One day however, a band of rogue fighters attacked the house of this boy and a few others. His parents were killed in front of his eyes but he esaped. He can still remember this, but he represses it most of the time. Two human mages adopted him and gave him the name Sammy (his original name is still unknown to him). His parents were strict, but typically kind. They moved into a house near a river, so he could live like a normal Aqiual. On the other side of the house was a large windy plain on which he studied the wind and it's effects. His parents helped him to control the wind, with minor magic spell. He never was very good at magic, but he was persistent, and his parents were always there to help. He also was skill with the bow he was given for his tenth birthday, he still uses the same one. He went to human school, he was shunned by some, but other liked to have an Aqiual friend. As for fighting, he loves to fight from afar, or even from under the water. He uses the wind to control his bow with even more precision. He can also hide well both in the water and in the trees.
Over Sammy's first quest, he was truly betrayed for the first time. Sammy really does not open up to people unless they are close friends, but usually his kind personality keeps them friends forever. Having someone leave him for another sparked a dark change within Sammy. He still feels pain in his right hand, and he now has a scar there (attached image coming soon) Due to this he hides his right hand behind his cloak, despite the fact that it is fully usable. He is left handed. He also cut his long hair to be pretty short. Eventually, he returned to the camp however, with a clear head. He had practically forgotten what had happened.

Mini-Tornado-Sammy pushes a small bit of air with his finger. He then spins his finger many times, creating a very small tornado. It can pick up small items from the ground, but it is still at a small phase as he just learned this. It does not have much of an effect for battle yet.

-Sammy has an old Longbow, but it can barely fire anymore, and is mostly senimental. He still likes to use this for training.

Personality~ Krensae is usually quiet, absorbing information he hears and even eavesdropping just so he can learn more. Even though it is odd for him to speak to landwalkers, he likes to speak with embelishment. He has a wide taste in all forms of art, and is especially entranced by quality music.
Background~ Krensae likes knowledge, and has decided to journey out of the water to find out more about the world he exists in. Joining up with a group of other mostly-random people seems like the easiest and most interesting way to do this. He is used to long trips and scouring for food, and prefers using tools that always worked for him while he lived in water. He has always been inquisitive, usually getting zapped by an eel he was studying or getting an arm stuck in some rocks he was feeling the arrayment. His parents were fairly successful farmers, with some high grade shrimp in their territory. They indulged in most of his whims and fancies because they were from poor families. His mother was a peasant and his father ex-military. Yet they still kept tight pocket strings, and when he callously returned their voiced unease at his disintrest in any secure future with a remark that farming and riverbuilding were unimaginative and boring, they cut him off to get him to comply with their wishes. Instead, he used the things he learned to fend for himself, creating a small cave of interlaced rocks as shelter and using traps or laying in wait for prey to swim by. Shortly before he left, he returned and showed them that there are other ways one can live in the world than the established norm.

Personality: Bellamin is much like water in his personality: he normally is very subdued, but is not unlikely to become emotional at times.
Background: Bellamin has been fairly carefree his whole life. Even from a young age, it was not unusual to find him missing early in the day, and by mid-afternoon, spot him swimming in the river jovially. When he came of age, with his parent's blessing, he decided to go and see the world. He returned for a visit a couple of years after he left home, only to find that his father was murdered in his absence by a band of superstitious peasants while heading to market. Bellamin since has lost some of his carefree attitude, and has become more focused and somewhat more emotional as well.
Abilities: Bellamin is apt at not attracting attention from others when he wants to remain hidden or unnoticed, despite his odd looks. He's also a powerful swimmer, and can hold his breath longer than most aquials.

Apparel: A miner’s tunic and heavy belt. He also carries his miners helmet. Here and there you can see metal rings intertwined into his clothing. His stein and pipe can always be found a hands reach away.
Personality: Thousandson is a typical dwarf. He works hard, loves gold, can drink just about anyone under the table. He isn’t particularly fond of Elves but has learned to deal with them. Overall he is an easy going type. Never asks for trouble but is willing to fight if he has to.
Background: Thousandson left his mountain home because he sought out greater knowledge of metals and other compounds. He has traveled for some time and has seen some things that he never though existed. He is continually searching for new minerals and seeks out caves all over the world. The only problem is to do so he needs help. That has caused him to seek out more adventurers. Maybe with help he can find some of the greatest metals and treasure anyone has found before. As for his use of magic a dwarf never reveals his secrets. His small use of earth magic has aided him in breaking some of the hardest stones. If asked about his past he will only mention the mines. They are all he thinks about and remembers. A dwarfs life is measured in gold.
Abilities: Having mined for years Thousandson has become a master of the pickaxe (at least in his mind and dwarves are very stubborn). Its an odd thing but he is quite talented with it and wields it as a deadly weapon. Also having worked with stone and metal for so long if he is presented with something made of it he is pretty familiar with what makes it up. There are exceptions though as he hasn’t had much experience with exotic materials except for a very minor experience with mythril.

OOC: Ok so I am still playing up the pickaxe thing as it essentially an modified axe proficiency. I know I'm level one in the skill so I will add ego behind his skill for the time being as everyone knows that Dwarves are proud of themselves.

As well, for his magic. Wind magic has four skills: Speed, pressure, control, and 'area'. Speed of the wind, compactness of the air (for solidity), control of the direction as well as concentration in high-distraction areas, and then how big of an area you can create. Gusts could be speed, I suppose. Cutting winds could possibly be pressure. Tailwinds shouldn't be skill, but a spell you create later. Defensive winds, I assume, is a combination of a Warding spell with wind. However, to do that, you have a singular Warding skill (not a combination) that you use with your spells.
Keifru: No T in Aqiual. I like the use of the sensitive skin; that's a good ability. The harp is fine as well. That's a good choice in an additional, and not incredibly useful for battle. I'm interested in seeing where you want that to go when you're higher. Remember, Aqiuals look like water-made humans. They're not fish.
Boros: Swimming ad the survivals are good. But, as I told Video: Your magic has a specific set of skills. Temperature (the heat or cold of the water), force (the speed the water moves), control (what direction, what shape its in, and how well you can do it as you are distracted), and area (how much water you can control). Barriers are under Buff: Ward, not under water.
Fenris: Same thing on Earth spells. Density, weight, control, area are your skills. In addition, he may be (flavorwise) a master pickaxe weilder. Or, at least, in his own mind. In the company, he's no better than any other level 1. And, apologies, but you can't start with a weapon... Well...
Forgot to put this up there, guys. Please say whether you are starting out in boot camp (better idea), or the company. Boot camp starts you at level 1 with every skill, no weapon, no armor. However, you have the chance to go on quests, up skills, and get items. If you go to the company straight out, you get level 2 in all skills (which assumes you trained all equally in bootcamp) and get a weapon of your choice as well as leather armor. But you miss out on any nifty items, and you miss out on initial skill definition. It's up to you.

Appearance: Aruven is a slender girl with light brown hair and green eyes. She has a well-formed body and seems to have some aura hanging around her which says that she knows a lot more then you do.
Apparel: She wears light coloured dresses most of the time, preferably ones which allow the wears to move freely. She wears almost no jewellery, except for two broad wristbands.
Personality: Aruven is a bitter woman. She’s seen a lot in life and has been scarred by it. She has a dark sense of humour. She’s learned to control that side of her though, she’s a nice person to be with most of the time. However, from time to time, she gets a bit nostalgic. She then tends to go to a forest or large tree, sitting there for hours thinking about a long gone past.
Background:
Aruven was born in a small Elven community near the Northern Border. She grew up there and left at a relatively young age to discover the world. The only things she took with her from home were an ocarina and the clothes she was wearing. She wasn’t prepared well for what was waiting her out there though.
She got into trouble in the first town where she entered. She didn’t have any money to pay for her food in the tavern and she was forced to work there. She kept working there even after paying her debts though, just to make a little money.
One night, while working at the pub, she saw a man, a human, and instantly fell in love with him. She followed him around for a while and after a few weeks, he confessed his love to her. They lived together for about ten years when they got their first child. The **** hit the fan once more when a disease spread throughout the area and even got into their home. Their three year old son died because of it. Both Aruven and her husband were heartbroken by it. He died shortly after because of the same disease.
Aruven became clinically depressed. She just sat in her home, grieving at her loss. She stopped doing anything, she almost didn’t eat anymore, her sleep was disturbed by nightmares of her dead child and husband and she started to become insane bit by bit. This eventually ended in a suicide attempt; she cut her wrists. She survived though, a neighbour found her lying on the ground unconscious. She took Aruven to a doctor, which took care of Aruven. The only thing that still remind her of her near-dead experience are two scars on her wrists.
She was able to get out of the depression at last and started doing normal things again. She decided to leave the house; it reminded her of too many things. She took only her ocarina and the clothes she was wearing. And her money, this time, she was prepared.
She joined a travelling group of (con) artists, where her ocarina was appreciated. She left them after a few years; the group had become old and most of the members wanted to settle down. Aruven didn’t. She was just getting started.
She travelled to the larger cities where she got some pretty hefty debts once more. She got into even more troubles when she tried to pickpocket (something she’d learned when travelling with the artists) the wrong guy and he found out. She had to leave the city and went into the next one, where should got even more debts. She fled out of the one too, when she saw a tent, where she seemed to be able to get work.

To be short, she a very attractive woman (some might say girl because of her young look).
Apparel: She wears a black cloak which covers her body up to the knees, it also has a hood which covers most of her face in shadows, the clothes underneath the cloak are mostly colored dark-green or black.
Her boots are made of soft, comfortable black leather and they reach up to just under her knees.
She wears a small silver necklace with a single small emerald on it.
Also, Liya has a black belt around her waist, hidden from eyes by her cloak, it has pockets where she stores her most valuable items in, it also gives the possibility to sheet a sword in it.
Personality: Mostly a very calm person, Liya loves sitting on the side of a stream with her bare feet in the water, playing a lovely melody on the small flute she always carries with her.
She loves water, as it is one of the most important components of the world itself, she also loves those things that grow as they use the water to grow themselves.
She is very gentle, good at making friends, light-hearted, but she can be cold-hearted if needed.
Because of her kindness, her gentle way of speaking, her sweat voice and her well-built and attractive body she is trusted by most people.
Background:
Liya was born as the third child of her father Galdin Faruvien and her mother Arinien.
Her sister Hathil, who was three years older, died of a desease when Liya was 6 years old, her mother was broken from that moment and would never be the same.
In the first two decades of her life her playmate was her seven years older brother Natharin, who was alwys kind to her and was a great example for her.
Then, when she was 28 years war waged, her father died and her brother came back home carried by soldiers, the shaman of the village attempted to save him but to no avail, he died 5 days after his return.
Since then Liya and her mother lived a sad life, her small flute produced only sad melodies instead of the happy onces it normally made.
Then, five years ago another war raged, this time the humans turned against the village, it was burned along with most of its residents, her mother died but she fled.
Days she ran through the woods, weakening, but she knew how to survive and soon after she reached a town.
Here she refreshed herself, she actually lived there for four years until she dicided to build up a new life ...

Apparel: Janon prefers plain, coarse clothing. He dislikes bright and garish coloring. His typical wardrobe consists of a cotton tunic, leather trousers, belt, boots, and a heavy cotton cloak for cold weather and precipitation.
Personality: Slightly belligerent, but fairly laid back. However, he doesn't hesitate to act when he's angry or there's a job to be done. Janon is loyal, mostly honest and hard-working. Violating his trust is a good way to get on his bad side.
Background: Raised by a gamewarden, Janon knew neither poverty nor wealth. He did his chores and enjoyed nature. Eventually, he realized it was time to leave and sustain himself. He did odd jobs at the nearby town, but quickly realized that he had no interest in craftmanship. Janon wished for more excitement, and decided that a mercenary company would see more action than a soldier or guard.

Sammy: Fix 'weapon proficiency' to 'accuracy', 'damage', and 'multi-shot' (the longbow's special skill). I know it's very weak, but it's still beyond what we want right now. I promise, though, we'll have mentle magics when the game truly takes off.
Keif: You can take magic if you want. Just use the skills that magic requires, that's all. I'll point out, though, that you can advance faster in your current skills if you don't have magic on top of it. Approved either way.
Bellamin: This name reminds me of pikmin. Approved.

Aruven: As long as you keep the main line the same, you're groovy. You might put Pick Pocketing as a skill, not an ability. Sounds like she'd head for the thieving section. Keif has an ocarina skill; you can do the same if you like. Lastly, make it clear that she's either interested in the magic and can't do it, or she can do it. Either way, approved.
Liya: As long as you are aware that these wars are not big ones, just minor scale dukedom things. Also, try not to set precedents (like light skinned elves) without permission from a mod. I don't see anything wrong with a dark skinned elf. Change the weapon proficiency in the way described to Sammy and you should be golden.
Aleandra: So she's charismatic and all that jazz. Groovy. As for skills and magic, the following changes should be made: Bandaging wounds (and you might want to put medicine in there too) should be put at level 1. The other three we're gonna need eventually. Put them at a level 1 as well. Healing magic has its own skills (area, duration, concentration and potency, I believe), so be sure to use them. AFter these minor edits, approved.

Well, about the color of the skin, it is more a bit Japanese flavoured, but it is still light.
Japanese women tend to have a bit darker skin than Western women, so I don't mean real dark (African- or Latin-like) skin.

Anyways, what I meant was, try not to make statements like "unlike other elves that usually have light skin'. That kind of screws with other players. But I understood what you were doing.

Appearance and Apparel: Tall and Thin, Jadyn is not one to be taken lightly. Years of working with his mother and father around his home has put a layer of muscle on his bones that you wouldn't guess was there until too late. He came to the Station wearing a green tunic and breeches suitable to wear stalking the woods for a deer. He has kind of dark skin, but not too dark. His long shoulder-length hair is a forest green and his sky-blue eyes that seem to be laughing as if he thinks something is funny.
Personality: Jadyn is a lighthearted fellow, who is never the last one to get a joke. that being said, he is VERY passionate about doing what he does to the best of his ability.
Background: Jadyn comes from a small community in the southern border, if it could be called a community, he lived at least 20 minutes walk from the nearest family. He was raised by his mother and father. Being an only child, if not, then the oldest of any future siblings, he was taught the way of the sword by his father, who had served Isadore in combat many years before and had rose to high rank, and skills of survival and healing by his mother. when he came of age his father gave him a golden necklace with a sword hanging point down on it (OOC: small sword, not actually functional as a weapon unless you really want to get that close IC: ). Jadyn asked leave of his family to explore the world, and was granted it. he wandered for months, living off the land until he made his way to the recruiting station.

Appearance: A wide smile is the first thing a passerby notices about Suven, followed shortly by a long scar through his right eye which could be related to the way he squints it slightly. He is fairly short, but with plenty of muscle to make up for it.
Apparel: Suven carries a leather satchel over his shoulder wherever he goes and will not easily part with it, even when going into battle. He guards the contents carefully against people he doesn't trust yet.
Personality: Suven is abound with excitement all the time. His motto is "Life is a smile and a chuckle." He loves to find the comedic side of any situation if he can. While that may make him sound like a practical-joker, Suven tries not to tease people who don't understand him and could be offended. He is also an obedient person, unless told to shut up.
Background: Suven first tried his hand at living as a philosopher, he wished to spread his motto and make hilarious people out of the whole world. Sadly, no one embraced his ideas. Sure people would listen and compliment him on his creativeness, but no one took real interest. He decided (or rather, his hunger and poverty decided for him) to join a company for the swiftest meal possible.
Abilities: Suven manages to always find something to laugh about in a situation and is prone to telling his joke to anyone in the vicinity. Not much will depress him.

Appearance: Zanrod's hair looks like Gaara’s hair but is Silver. He also has a scar across his eye and a red symbol on the back of his right hand. Blood magic also changes blood mages apearnces giving jet black skin with red bloodshot eyes. His teeth are also pointed like a barracuda but can't be used as a weapon.
Apparel: He wears a face mask like Kakashi from Naruto that is red and wears a black shirt with red pants and again black boots. He also has red gloves and a red belt. All the red clothing gets its color from being dyed in blood. Most of it is cloth.
Personality: a blood mage means the understanding of pain. Being taught at such a young age caused Zanrod to be a cold killer. Emotionally disturbed due to his whole childhood being spent on killing and harsh training. He will keep to himself, but talks if he feels like it. He does not believe in useless destruction so he doesn’t go on killing sprees. Quiet but when he takes something personally he can express his anger. (I based Zanrod off of Gaara from Naruto.)
Background: Normally blood mages learn when they are older like around 30. But Zanrod was taught at the age of 5. The clan leaders were hoping that they could create some sort of new mage and Zanrod was the guinea pig. But the plan was a failure and Zanrod killed those trying to infuse him with dead blood mage power. But he was still strong from suriving the process so they taught him and raised him in the way of the blood mage. His belief in killing is his purpose causes him to join as a mercenary.
Abilities: Zanrod knows how to use a hook chain. Also knows a lot about human anatomy.
Skills: Weapon Proficiency – Hook Chain- he won't have time to work up the skill in both so the chain is more of a tool and a back up than a weapon

Name: Brian 'Spark' Mill

Appearance: Lithely built and average sized, Brian is not remarkable in appearance. His mousey brown hair is stylishly unkempt and fails to get in the way of his grey-green eyes. His features are gentle and his complexion is fairly good.
Apparel: Brian sticks to the darker end of the spectrum, be it olive greens, navy blues or straight greys and blacks. He has a number of acceptable shirts and pants for most regular occasions. His most worn outfit consists of a navy blue shirt and black pants, with black boots.
Personality: Brian probably would have been a brat if he hadn't been orphaned. Over confident and prone to making slightly careless mistakes, he is none the less rather intelligent and fairly good at talking his way out of trouble. Being a natural magic user makes him slightly more irritating to a lot of people, due to his tendency towards being smug.
Background: Brian was orphaned at the age of 6, and doesn't remember much about his parents. He was raised in a home with eight other kids, and spent most of his life getting into little scraps and predicaments. By the time he was 12 Brian had discovered his talent for magical manipulation and had begun to use it to help him get by. He earned the nickname 'Spark' by generating red fleck of light from his fists when he was threatened, a bluff that no-one his age was willing to call him on. When he was 16 he left the orphanage and tried to make his way in the world. He spent five years attempting simple sleight of hand tricks and cons, earning just enough to get by and slipping out of the small troubles he got himself into. After a particularly close call with a lawman he stumbled into a bar and ended up chatting with a mercenary veteran. Thinking it over for a couple of days, Brian decided there were worse ideas.
