I was about to update, actually. Yours provides an interesting way to start the day. By the way, sorry about the wait, everyone. I had finals and such for school and didn't have time to really get to this. Now, I have looooaaaaads of time.
One of the sergeants entered the barracks at sunup. He had given Thousandson a funny look, but the man wasn't doing anything against the rules. Anyone not awake by the time the officer got in would get a rather rude awakening. No, not a trumpet. Even worse. A sergeant bellowing.
"All right you horrible lot! Up and at 'em! Rise and shine, cupcakes! Time to face the new day! Get up! Make your beds! Get into uniforms!"
Yes, time for the recruits to rue the day they decided to join.
Liya opened her eyes as she hears the sergeant bellows so hard she almost falls out of her bunk.
She sits up and tightens her cloak around her, she had slept in it the whole night.
She dresses herself and picks her boots of the ground and quickly puts them on, she then gets out of the bunk ready to get moving, only as bit sleepy ...
The sudden yelling startles Krensae, causing him to flop out of his bed with a thud on the floor. "Ugg~ I was liking that dream..." Rubbing his eyes he staggers over to his trunk and slips on his uniform halfhazardly. "This is not going to go over so well."
He scans the room to see the others as he stifles a yawn.

Thellotar's blind eye opened with a sharp click, yet his other eye remained closed. The eye circled around once or twice before fading into the blackness of his head. He emerged once again moment later, wide open as if they had been open for hours on end. Static seemed to surge through his body for a moment. 'Today gonna be interesting...' he thought. 'That dream was rather intriguing...' He looked around at the others with a curious stare. His pendant pulsed from underneath his robe.
Sammy got up quietly, quickly got into his uniform and make his bed. He then sat down on the new bed with weariness in his eyes and started to stare into space...
Jadyn got up quickly, dressing himself and folding his sheets. He was wondering what this day held in store for him as he moved to stand next to Liya, holding out a hand to her to help her up

Janon jumped out of bed, stretched, and then tried to figure out where he was and what he was doing. sleepsleepsleepsleepsleep . . .Janon wakes up . . . foodfoodfoodfoodfoodfood. Then he noticed the the sergeant who was making the noise, and the other recruits who were getting into uniform and tidying their beds. Prolly a good idea. Is that what th'officer's yellin' about? Janon attempted to make his bed, and then threw the uniform on. He had tried to do both somewhat neatly, and failed. With all the precision 'round here, I don' think that bed'll fly too well wi' the sarge, he thought, completely oblivious to the disarray of his clothes.
*stretching his arms" "So how is everyone this morning?" *Continues on to stretch his neck and legs*
Afterwards he fixes the bed as best as he can, but it still ends up haphazard.

They were ushered out of the barracks. Though the officer looked disdainfully at their beds, there was more work to be done. They'd learn to make those bunks soon enough. Quickly, they were marched into the parade grounds and forced to stand in formation. Two officers of higher rank were standing there looking at the recruits. One spoke.
"Time to begin your training, recruits. And, luckily, we have jobs to be done. Split yourselves up evenly between us. One half will go with me, the rest go with Nevin. Hurry now."
Jadyn Saw Liya walk towards the one named Nevin and decided to follow her, for she had piqued his interest for the time being
OOC: Blane, i'm not trying to be to stalker-ey, i'm just trying to play in character. mabye a little of my own personality is seeping in, the stalker-type thing is something i'm trying to stop in rl, i think it's just seeping out here
I know you're not a stalker, I'm just poking fun at you
Janon heads towards he-who-was-not-Nevin. Several people had already gone towards Nevin, plus the Dwarf seemed like one of the few people who wasn't emotionally damaged.
Nevin watched as the recruits sorted themselves out.
His clothing looked nothing like the recruits' uniforms. From what they could see, he was wearing some sort of black shirt and loose-fitting black pants...but they were mostly covered by a long, deep-red cloak that hung from Nevin's shoulders almost to his feet. It had a hood, too; all the recruits could see of his face were shadows and a pale chin.
Since some of the recruits seemed slow to organize themselves, Nevin prompted them a bit: "You should probably be fairly quick about this. Your training's about to begin, and some of it's time-dependant." Nevin didn't speak loudly, but his voice had a note of command to it.

And at this point, I'll be making an effort to update daily. Please try to make an effort to do the same.
The man-who-is-not-Nevin looks over his recruits. Aruven, Thousandson, Janon, Krensae. Then he nods and gestures to them. "Follow me to the armory. Time to get you kitted out."
After they've left the parade grounds, the sentries finally get Karn into the compound. With the man-who-is-not-yet-named no longer in the area, he'll have to go with Nevin.
Liya looks at Halinn from under the hood of her cloak, but she doesn't say anything.
She then turns back to face Nevin, waiting for Nevin to lead them somewhere.
At the sound of an armory Thousandson pearks up. A good weopen will make him happy. Maybe they even have a pickaxe. He is quite handy with those. Also his group is pretty decent as he managed to avoide most of the overly friendly group.
The unnamed officer already led you there. Post in the new thread now, please.
Nevin watched his fellow officer and the other recruits leave, then looked at the group of people who had lined up near him.
"Harn actually has the right idea, here." he said. "We're also going to have to head to the armory, but I think it'll be occupied for a while now. We'll need to get to know each other, so take turns introducing yourselves and telling me what kind of fighting you know how to do. I'll start."
He pulled back the hood of his cloak. He was clearly human, and his face seemed young, definitely no older than twenty-five. He had long black hair that he kept in a braid; it reached just below his shoulders.
"As my fellow officer said, my name is Nevin, and I'd rather be called that than anything else. Save your "sir's" for my peers." He smiled slightly. "I'm a decent magic-user, specializing in fire and lightning. I can help any of you who wish to learn that discipline." He looked at them again. "OK, your turn."

Liya also pulls back the hood of her black cloak, revealing her young, for human standards definitely beautiful face.
For a moment her black eyes look in the eyes of each of the recruits, ending at those of Nevin, a slight smile appears on her face.
She takes a deep breath and then starts to tell "My name is Liya, as some of you already know." she turns to Sammy for a moment and gives him a smile, then she turns back to Nevin "I want to train myself in the skills of water magic and sword fighting."
She then silences to let others talk.
Thellotar, having drifted off from reality, sees Nevin is the only choice now. He goes to him. Noticing the girl speaking about herself, his voice sparks up. "I'm Thellotar. I'd prefer not to talk about my powers...." He looked a little nervous.
Nevin smiled. "You really are being smart about this, Harn," he said. He turned to Thellotar. "In the first place, we are going to be fighting together. If we don't know what you're good at, we can't outfit you at the armory or depend on you in combat. And in the second place, if I was any other officer, I would have severely chastised you for disobeying. I did say to talk about yourself, and even if I didn't yell it, that is an order." He looked quizzically at Thellotar. "Are you by any chance the one who tried to give orders to the other recruits yesterday? Some of the other officers were talking about that at dinner last night."
