Niadar, where's your WPL tag? It seems everyone but you, Greenmaster, darksys, and me have a WPL tag. (If this a sore point, sorry to have brought it up.)
Bellamin flinches for a second, temporarily stunned by the sudden charge of the bandit, but then remembers his water flask, and with great effort, tried to use his water magic to fire a jet of the scalding water towards the approaching mace-wielder. "Do you really think you can take me? Let me give you a wake up splash!"
The charging bandit yells as the water splashes him, but it isn't hot enough to burn him....or at least not badly enough that he stops his attack.
Harn jumps away from the mace, then moves in for a knee in the groin.
Woth surprising agility, the bandit spins to one side and smacks Harn's knee-thrust with his own knee. The movement, however, locks them together briefly, and they overbalance and fall to the ground, still locked in combat. The bandit lets go of his mace and goes for Harn's throat with both hands.
Thellotar laughs at the challenge. "Fine, I'll start!" Feinted to the right, he dashed left and threw sparks at the bandit. He leaped for cover in a smooth roll, preparing for strike with his dagger.
The bandit swats at the sparks with his mace, and he manages to absorb the jolt with the weapon's wooden handle. He then tries to grab one of Thellotar's legs as Thellotar is trying to roll for cover.
Jadyn, trying to stay in front of Aleandra, drops to a knee to potentially avoid any coming blows, he takes a massive two-handed swipe at about knee-level, directed at the two attacking him.
You have any idea how hard it is to use a sword from kneeling??? And Video, you're right about not being attacked...and not having slicing wind magic yet.
The two bandits in front of him manage to dodge the swordswipe....but the third one, behind him, had been slowed by Sammy's wind. Realizing that he would have trouble with the mages, he turned back to the melee and swings his mace hard at the back of Jadyn's head.
OOC: Well, Liya and I attacked the same bandit. My arrow missed, but Liya caused it to slip and drop its mace. So technically, I dont think I'm still being attacked. Correct?
Sammy was shocked by Liya courage, but worried as well. He prepared a gust of wind to help stop the bandit Liya was swinging at, but he noticed Aleandra next to him. He looked back and forth between her and Liya for a minute, and then shot the gust towards the bandit attacking Aleandra. The gust was not a cutting wind (If I can even do that yet), it was more focused on slowing him down/pushing him over so Aleandra takes minimum damage. Liya will be OK, it seems like she knows what she is doing with that blade.

Nevin had finally found his mage-opponent, and with a well-timed fireball he'd managed to incinerate the tree that mage had been hiding behind--in the process dropping two more unfortunate archers out of it, both of whom had landed badly and gone unconscious. Now, he and his opponent were in a full-on magic duel. Nevin's opponent screamed incoherently and flailed his arms wildly, blasting Nevin with ice and thrwoing up water shields against Nevin'a attacks. Nevin threw lightning back at him just as quickly, punctuating every shot with a sizzling curse. Even embroiled in their own battles, the recruits could perceive this battle just enough to stay well away from it.
By the way, I AM supposed to have a WPL tag. I changed my custom title in hopes that somebody from "on high" will remember that little fact, and give me that tag.

"Oh sh-" Bellamin was barely able to say those words before he was smashed on the side of the head by the mace and fell to the ground. Coughing up blood, he said with great effort, "I... can't... die... yet..." before losing consciousness.
Relax, BorosLegion. I'll only force you to die (permanently) if you refuse to take any hits for several combat turns in a row or do something else blatantly bad. It would be quite a pain to go through this whole intro-training-etc again.

The bandit swats at the sparks with his mace, and he manages to absorb the jolt with the weapon's wooden handle. He then tries to grab one of Thellotar's legs as Thellotar is trying to roll for cover.
Thellotar saw the bandit reaching for his leg out of the corner of his eye, but his momentum had left him helpless. He tripped and smashed into the ground headfirst. After he quickly came back to his senses, he rolled sideways in hopes to avoid any oncoming blow and managed to shoot a couple more weak sparks.
It all happened at once. Sammy looked over at Aleandra running towards Bellamin, and then he looked back at Liya. Liya's sudden physical attack had been such a success, and with Bellamin down and Aleandra approaching, they needed some sort of protection. He tried to take out his bow, but typially he had second thoughts. What if he were to hit Bellamin by mistake. And his wind was certainly not poweful enough to stop anyone. He then noticed no bandits charging him except the one that had fallen, slipped, and had been knocked unconcious. His mace had fallen by Sammy's feet. With a random act of courage, Sammy picked up the mace and ran infront of Aleandra towards the Bandit that had attacked Bellamin with the mace in hand.

Jadyn, seeing the bandit coming from behind him, brought his sword up above his head to block the mace blow. seeing that the maceman would take only seconds to recover, he lashed out with a long and muscular leg at the man's groin.
"Uur..." Bellamin begain regaining consciousness as Aleandra healed him. He realized that for now he was down and out, but as the magic of the elven healer flowed through his body, he planned how he would re-enter and prove his mettle ten-fold to his fellow companions. He laid back, and allowed the mending powers of Aleandra to do their work. He mumbled to her as best he could, "Thanks..."
Suven half-smiles in surprise at the bandit's technique. He drops his sword down to parry the next attack but is only partially successful. He had brought his arms down in such an awkward position that the swing knocked him off balance, and he staggered backward.
He regained his balance as his back struck a cart, but he had lost precious seconds that could cost him.

Liya got her sword out of the Bandit a bit wildly so that blood spattered all over her black cloak.
She then checked if the bandit was dead, standing ready to deliver a fatal stab to the heart if the bandit was still alive.
Inside she felt anger whelling up, somehow she thought these bandits were the same as those who raided and burned here home, killed her mother, making her like she was now, although they off course weren't.
She wanted revenge, she couldn't fully control herself, neither did she understand were all those strange feelings came from ...
"You... bastard...", Harn barely manages to say, while he madly, but with steadily decreasing strength, stabs his assaulter with the knife in his hand.
The weak stabbing has next to no effect, and Harn soon goes unconscious. The bandit smacks Harn once in the temple, just to make sure he stays unconscious for a while, and then goes back into the fray.
The bandit wasn't expecting such a quick recovery, and the sparks singed his hands. He throws his mace at Thellotar, then runs forward to go straight to hand-to-hand combat.

With a random act of courage, Sammy picked up the mace and ran infront of Aleandra towards the Bandit that had attacked Bellamin with the mace in hand.
The bandit smirks at Sammy's bravery. He swings his own mace with savage force, trying to smash Sammy's mace out of his hands.
Aleandra, seeing that she was being covered by Sammy, healed Bellamin more extensively.
Bellamin's wounds closed as the healing magic filled them in with artificial healing-tissue. Aleandra knew that Bellamin would need natural healing in a few hours, but for now the artificial healing would keep him together enough to fight fairly well.
Jadyn, seeing the bandit coming from behind him, brought his sword up above his head to block the mace blow. seeing that the maceman would take only seconds to recover, he lashed out with a long and muscular leg at the man's groin.
The bandit, who was able to focus much better than Jadyn because he didn't have three people attacking him, was able to dodge the outthrus leg, just in time. In unison, the three bandits swung at him: one at his knees, one at his chest, and one at his head.
"Uur..." Bellamin begain regaining consciousness as Aleandra healed him. The now-unarmed bandit who had gone after Harn now goes after Aleandra, seeing her as the biggest danger he could face. He had worked with mages before; he knew what they could do.

He regained his balance as his back struck a cart, but he had lost precious seconds that could cost him.
The bandit knew what it meant for an enemy to be pinned. He let loose with a savage flurry of blows, trying his best to keep Suven stuck against the cart and, in the process, to beat out his brains.

The remaining bandit, seeing his dead companion, attacks Liya with an animal yell. He must have cared about his companion, because his attack comes without finesse or subtlety; he just runs at her, mace held in both hands.
Sorry about being so long to update. I've had a literal computer crash....it fell off my bed and hit the floor....and as long as I'm at this summer camp I'm stuck with this machine, which only has half its screen still functional. Now that everyone's back, though, I'll try to be quicker about posting.
I'll put Nevin's stuff up later. Nobody else needs to bother with that battle anyway

"Oh no you don't!" Bellamin grabbed an arrow from his quiver and attempted to stab the bandit attacking Alleandra through the heart with the sharp end of the arrow.
Suven managed to block two hits with his sword, but his mace only connected with the first blow from the bandit's other hand. He got hit hard in the leg, and felt himself begin to fall. He tried to take advantage of it with two swift swings, his mace moving toward his opponent's legs, his sword reaching for the side of the bandit's gut.

IC: jadyn manages to block the mace blow to his head fully, and clumsily hand-blocked the chest blow but wasn't able to take the full force off the blow, his hand thudded into his chest, with the wind knocked out of him, he was not even close to blocking the mace aimed for his legs, as it smashed into his left leg.
"a little help here!" he managed to shout, though that was about all that he could do
Not very smart. Liya thought as she waited until the bandit was just a few meters aways, she formed a small orb of water and launched it just in front bandit, making it slippy mud.
Then at the same moment, using the force behind the launch of the water she jumped to the right, already swinging her sword backwards for a blow which would strike the bandits neck if he would slip or his side if he would not.
The bandit wasn't expecting such a quick recovery, and the sparks singed his hands. He throws his mace at Thellotar, then runs forward to go straight to hand-to-hand combat.
Thellotar's roll lands him out of the way of the mace, but he doesn't have time to make it up before the bandit hits. His hands spark with static in readyness.
The maces collided, and Sammy's quickly flew into the air, also causing him some pain in his right hand. It was clear that physical strength was not his forte. He then jumped back and used his left hand to create a huge gust of wind aimed at the bandit who attacked him, while his right hand lay at his side.
"Oh no you don't!" Bellamin grabbed an arrow from his quiver and attempted to stab the bandit attacking Alleandra through the heart with the sharp end of the arrow.
The gesture was a brave one, and it was lucky for Aleandra--the bandit turned away from her to try to hit Bellamin. The arrow itself, however, had nowhere near the force it needed to injure the bandit, and when the bowman thrust with it, it didn't evem stick in the bandit's leather vest. The bandit retaliated with a fairly focused swing of his mace.
Suven was clumsy with the mace, and he missed the bandit's legs--but his thrust to the gut struck home, and the bandit doubled over in pain, clutching his side. Suven, however, was in little condition to fight either, with his leg injury.
Jadyn manages to block the mace blow to his head fully, and clumsily hand-blocked the chest blow but wasn't able to take the full force off the blow, his hand thudded into his chest, with the wind knocked out of him, he was not even close to blocking the mace aimed for his legs, as it smashed into his left leg.
"a little help here!" he managed to shout, though that was about all that he could do
Jadyn looked doomed--but in s stroke of good luck, two of the bandits smashed into each other in their efforts to finish him off. For the moment, they were both stunned. The third one, disgusted with his companions, tried to hit the downed Jadyn in the head to keep him down.
Not very smart. Liya thought as she waited until the bandit was just a few meters aways, she formed a small orb of water and launched it just in front bandit, making it slippy mud.
Then at the same moment, using the force behind the launch of the water she jumped to the right, already swinging her sword backwards for a blow which would strike the bandits neck if he would slip or his side if he would not.
....or it would have, if she'd been quicker. As it was, the bandit slipped in the mud and almost lost his footing, but he maintained enough presence of mind to slide left to dodge her sword. He was down, but he was hardly out.
Thellotar's roll lands him out of the way of the mace, but he doesn't have time to make it up before the bandit hits. His hands spark with static in readyness.
The static makes the bandit flinch just enough that his first blow doesn't cause Thellotar serious injury. He swings his right arm again in an effort to take down the mage.
The maces collided, and Sammy's quickly flew into the air, also causing him some pain in his right hand. It was clear that physical strength was not his forte. He then jumped back and used his left hand to create a huge gust of wind aimed at the bandit who attacked him, while his right hand lay at his side.
The bandit's charge faltered, and for a moment he teetered on the edge of overbalancing. One more push, and he'd go down.

He shot out a second short and quick, but powerful gust of wind at that robber. He then took out his bow, and, despite the throbbing pain in his arm, took a shot at the bandit attacking Jadyn, after hearing him scream.
Not again! Bellamin attempted to stop the bandit's mace with water magic, and prepared to dodge out of the way while pressurizing and super-heating the water, drawing every echelon of magic and energy from his body to make sure this hurt.
Jadyn, freed of the worry of two opponents for a moment, saw the third bandit attemp a blow to the head That'll be the day he thought, he threw himself, shoulder first at the bandit, in an attempt to knock him off the ground, his leg pained with the effort, but he ignored it and kept going, knowing that if he could get into a standing position his height would allow him a slight advantage over the bandits
