I agree completely.

I think the best way to move on and heal any rifts is to clost this forum, archive it, and not make every person who comes into the site learn about the incident. It was a dark time, both for our forum and for 'News, but it's over now, in the past. Can we possibly please leave it there?

i think it will be a few more days, people really need to stop asking this, this is the third thread that has asked for the forum to close.

The administrators will close this forum when they see that people are not posting here in nearly as consistent a basis as they are now. That will take a while to happen, and thougg it may hamper the site as a whole, we cant just try to bypass it and go straight to our golden age. Things take time, some people still want to flame SS, some people are still mad. Once they calm down, the forum will calm down, and then be removed. We cannot speed it up or slow it down, just let it happen.

A few more days, I think. I'd Close it, personally, but I agree that this needs to be here a little while longer, if only to allow for discussion to end.

I agree, but my degree of involvement in the incident amounts to that of an innocent bystander who sees a beloved haunt go up in flames. Who sees the arsonist finally being apprehended and banished but also sees many for his fellow patrons who were burned by the fire decide it is better to build a new pace then rebuild the old one.
I think it is for those people to decide when the need to discuss what happened is over and when it is time to move on.

No, we do not need to leave this forum open, all it is doing is encouraging the view that this is a "War" and we "won" or something, and it's really not a healthy direction for us to start off in.

I'd close it to but there are those who have good reason not to. We're letting everyone get it out of their system. Now quit asking about this.

I popped in a few hours after midnight when I got home from a party (It was prolly 6 AM) and popped into the Kingdom of Loathing to see if anhthing had happened, then I swung by 'News to say Happy New Year, but everyone was leaving, so I said a few words on one account then went to bed. When I woke up aroung noonish people were having a mass exodus, so I went to MTGSalvation (It was right below 'News in my MTG folder in my favorites) and lo and behold, there was a massive party. I was slightly hung over and a bit angry at what I percieved S_S to be doing (which turned out not to be too far from the truth) and so I posted. A lot. Then that night I talked to R_E and went and saw a movie and that was it. This whole thing had started. Once I was completely sober I just kept the ball rolling. I regret a few things that I said, but overall I think I was in the clear on being overzealous. Kinda. Feh. It was fun.

Personally, I'm gonna concentrate on just helping this community keep movin along, same with News.

Threads like this, no matter how well intended, are just like putting your fingers into an open wound. It's just one of those things that you need to let heal on it's own, as it inevitably will. Talking about it simply won't change any of the end results at all, and will only cause said 'wound' to fester for much longer than is necessary.

I was never really involved with either site until recently. I always used both sites for the best of both worlds (in a sense) of news, spoilers,info, etc. I decided to become a member just to help keep the community moving along. The reason I became a member here is because that website is in chaos and everyone is fighting. Problem is no one side is bigger than another so it may go on for a while . I might skim through the site once in a while to see if it has been resolved but for now, this site has everything I need.

I completly agree.. lets just moove on and get over with it.. sure it was a bad thing.. but we can make it work just as fine as before.. people should contribute to the site instead of flaming and trolling..
