Well, I post on both, but I'm starting to lose touch with 'News. I've been talkin to Raa, and nothing has changed, and I don't think it would matter if it did.

I doubt it, especially now that I'm an admin here. I wouldn't really want to even mess with it. I kind of feel like MTGnews is beyond the point of return at this point, to be completely honest. I feel like MTGnews has just been tained, and when, if ever, S_S leaves MTGnews there will forever be a scar embeded upon it from him and to an extent Raa controlling it.
As things stand I don't see mtgnews being one of the important magic sites on the net any longer, and I had already drifted away from it previously. It is also refreshing to see how much work the owners and admins are putting in here at salvation, You guys have done more upgrades and patches and little things in the past week then mtgnews has seen in years. *grabs a soda and flops on the collective rumor mill couch, and puts his feet on the coffee table* this is my home now.
What is there to be gained by going back to news? a shorter URL?

Probably not. It depends on where RE goes, I love this community, but the Judgment spoiler is what first brought me to News.

I for one, don't really care what happens over there. I usually check out the forums before I register, and I saw something about MTG Salvation, so I thought I'd check it out. And so far, this site seems above and beyond MTG News. Congrats to the mods and admins.

I said no, because I follow the rumors, and it looks like the rumors are here now, and here to stay. One of my accounts over there was created solely to watch for rumors and comment on them in the 'Mill, but now that's over, and the other account was for Strategy (I made it to keep the two separate so if one got banned the other would stay) but anyone worth talking to on Extended stategy seems to be over here now. So I'm here.

Raa bought the site, R_E and Jeff threatened to leave, then actually did leave, then Raa brought on the asskissery and hired Scott to take over for R_E and Jeff. After he got R_E and Jeff to come back, Scott started making insane demands and being a worthless turd. On the first on the new year, R_E, Jeff, and a whole bunch of the Mod Squad decided to quit, and took a lot of members with them.
I see. I remember Raa buying the site, because I was still involved with MTGnews at the time. I didn't know about Scott's Evil Rampage of Death. That really sucks.
