can someone please tell me why I should provide ANY even slight recognition of this site after your owner came in and cursed on our front page comments?
Whereabouts was this? Is it still there? If so, please link me... I can't find it. If it has been removed, do you have a copy? If not, do you remember basically what it said? I suppose it's possible someone could have done so using his name. The front page doesn't require a login of any kind.

He does't want your respect.
Anyway, you're welcome here, Scott. Sincerly, have a look around, stop by to chat when you have a minute, and so on. Make yourself at home.
EDIT: corrected myself (didn't know who was being referred to)
OK folks , this is getting out of hand. Let's all take a step back and breathe.
SS truly believes (I think) he isn't taking MTG Salvations credits. You don't convice a man otherwise by constantly bringing him down and belittling him. Yes, things 'over there' could (and should) have been handled better, but give the man a break; he just lost over half his staff and member base. Give him a chance to get his balance back and collect his thoughts.
Then politely ask him your questions. He might even answer them.
Now you can start flaming me.
Edit - R_E, people on both sites respect the hell out you. You may not want it, but there it is.
Re Edit- Just caught that too, R_E. TNK, same goes for you as for R_E, nothin' but respect, bud.
Scott, I think people have had enough of you just from you being on MTGnews, last thing we need is you here. If I was like you, I'd just ban you. But I'm not. I'm better than you, in many, many ways. But you might as well give up your crusade to get everyone to believe you because you've failed miserabely, and you look really stupid to keep trying and constantly lying about the facts. As for me spamming the front boards, anyone can testify that I didn't. Even if I did, in your hurry to hide the fact that everyone was commenting providing the truth about things, you deleted everything, so you have no proof anyway. I posted what I thought of your B.S. and lies, and that was that. I posted one time, and one time each if I posted on any of your attempts you try to pass off as "news." I did cuss when I called you an ********. But hey, that's what you are. Now there's something true.

No..I looked for it. He has copied it himself and posted it over here, but I can't seem to find it. He made up a card with profane language in it...I seem to remember being an "0/1" in it. He posted it over here.
And that's fine. Trust me - from what I know of TNK and have heard from him, I'd rather NOT have his respect. I think it might make me feel dirty *shudder*.

I consider TNK a friend of mine and I ask you politly, do not be rude to my friends.

I am now stepping out of the way of the proverbial $&*%storm about to engulf this thread...
TNK is and was always one of the nicest people I met over at News. For you to be so blind as to insult him without any proof just proves why we really don't want to be at a website you own.
Hmmmmm... I have a PTQ in a little over a month, and I'm ordering cards for it online... I wonder where I con't be shopping?

I admit that it may have been wrong for me to post that card, and I probably could have pretended I don't know what he's talking about, but I'm not gonna lie about it. The truth is I'm a good person, otherwise I wouldn't have gone 36 hours without sleep all working on our forums and webpage minus 4 hours of it to take my mom to a doctor's appointment out of town. But you know what? People have the right to their opinion, wether you like it or not. That's another part of the reason we haven't banned you yet and we're still putting up with you spewing b.s. on our own forum. We don't go around deleting messages from people because we don't like the truth, like you do.
EDIT: Several advertisements, slanders, and chimpanzees removed from your post.

No, I enjoy being on even ground with him. Its not a bad thing. Anyways, SS, I am not saying that you have gotten your info from here. What my problem is is how others can cite this site (nice useage there) as their source from which they recieved their information, similar to using it for a school report. When they do this themselves, not you, it gets deleted out. From your comment about this site in one of your previous posts here, it seems as if the "confirmed by R_E" and "from MTG Salvation" comments get deleted out of spite. I am not saying you personally got your info from here, but what if Wh!teKnight did? Why should he not be allowed to say it? I agree if he links it, but what he if later just goes "info from Salvation" with no link? It would vanish. Why? I feel this is being dodged. If you are not understanding my questions, then that's fine. If you are ignoring them, then that doesn't help you at all. I'm being fairly respectful here, and you seem to be doing the same to me.

I think my templating is a bit off, but it's a little closer to the real game. Needs flavor text, too, because whoever came up with the original flavor text wasn't very creative. ^_~
S_S did some pretty stupid things... but he was prolly in panic mode when half the staff quit whithout notice. Having a large part of "his" active userbase jump ship over the next couple days prolly didn't help.
And no offense to TNK... he's a great member of the community... but perhpas not the best possible choice for an admin... Is profanity really needed? I understood using it then, whilst in the heat of the events... but it's totally uncalled for now.

Wow, TNK made me laugh actually, at least something productive came out of this thread. Also, TNK and nice being used in the same sentence makes target Plastijkafasfasfa IQ drop to -666
SS, scott, w/e the hell I feel like calling you, saying where the rumors come from is just the right thing to do. Your site had no part in getting the rumors posted here, so you should just give credit where credit is due. The card are owned by WotC yesss thank you for explaining that, but the work to getthe info wasn't done by MTGNews, so don't take credit for that, or remove the credit. Its sad how scared you are of this little clique of banned/angry members. Your site will be ruined because of it. Just a fair warning, I mean, now would be the time to actually listen to someone with a postive IQ and do your job.

Here against my will, I have decided to make the best of my stay...and play nice...
Hmm, perhaps that is one of the reasons New Something Forums failed.
If there was someone that was being a jerk, I banned the hell outta them.
Guess i'm just not a nice guy
Well, as I said, I apologize for posting that "gag" on "news" comments. I did admit I shouldn't have done it. We all make mistakes, thankfully some of us can admit to them and move on with life. As for cussing, on the forums as an administrator I'm pretty watchful about making sure that I don't cuss. Honestly I wish I wouldn't do it at all in real life (I don't that much but enough that I wish It had never started), and I definitely hold back from doing it here in front of you all. Where being professional is concerned, I think that's true. But I also think people should feel their administrator is down to earth. Sometimes I post like a regular user because I'm really used to being just that. The good thing about that though, I feel, is it helps the average user here feel like I'm among them, and not off in a seperate special group.
I actually much prefer when the admin isn't trying to be something he's not. Friendly admins who mingle with the population enough that the word "Administrator" under their name gets forgotten are the best kind as far as I'm concerned.

I personally agree, but over at News I'd sette for a head moderater who, you know, posts once every, oh, let's say week. Once a week would be good. Or even once a month, if you think you have some "cool" rep to keep. But outside of the Mod Lounge, Raa hhasn't posted (pre-incident) once in a loooong time. Same with S_S. So you can curse and flame until you're blue, as long as I'm sufficiently convinced that you haven't died in the last week. That's a degree of confidence I'm comfortable with: Knowing that the mods ain't dead. And if you ARE dead, could you do us the courtesy of coming to my house and talking through my Ouija board, so I can, you know, inform the others?

You have to keep in mind that I've been a normal user of the Magic community for three years, I'm definitely going to be posting regularly as soon as we get done with things that need taken care of. Sometimes I may not act as admin like as I should, but I'm working on it
Oh yeah, as I said, there's a healing process going on right now, so things are a bit more lax *evil grin* Hence the need for humor. Break out the rope and shovel!

I actually disagree even further.
I don't think someone should be a real administrator with responsibility in a community if they aren't at least reading most of the posts on the forum. Having a few administrators who are lower-key members of the community are fine if they're for the purpose of protecting against flooding and what-not, but anyone who is in charge of the community and making major decisions should be part of the community. It's obviously not possible to read every post on such a large community, but on the smaller community I admin, I actually read every post, and reply if applicable. On such a large forum, that's obviously not possible, but I don't understand how one can administrate a community that they aren't a part of. How can one possibly understand the opinions behind administrative decisions if you don't go into the community and ask them oneself? How can one possibly make a decision on what is best for the community without at least having the frame of reference of knowing what the community is?
Yep. Congratulations. You got your site blacklisted with that one.

This is a sig. Yes it is.
If there wasn't, I'd be very worried. More than one administrator is necessary to keep control over a message board of this size.
However, I'm more speaking of the head administrator, or if you'd like a different phrase, "The guy in charge." ^_~
