I don't know if this has been posted yet, and I don't know how long it will last. Links in sigs no longer work.
I'm going to see if they've censored the old url, which redirects to here. if they haven't, I'm stick that in my sig, though there are numerous other ways to get around it, I think. Sorry if this is already posted.

Edit: the url http://www.retetched.com/optix//phpBB2/index.php hasn't been consored, and redirects you to salvation. Of course, I post it here, and he can read it. If I don't post it here, though, few people will be able to post links even if they want to. Perhaps scott will read this thread, perhaps not. I'm not going to but the link in my sig, though. I don't think we need to, enough people are getting here by word of mouth, as TNK said.
Scott came over here threatening to do that if we "didn't change our position" on things. It's really childish. No matter. As I told him, when links to here and sigs were a bannable offense the FIRST time, we still got half the members that joined here through word of mouth, etc. I don't know what he thinks he's doing. He said he'd ban anyone who tried to link here or talk about it, he's just hurting himself as he loses members.

Salvation isnt the only word censored. The old link that couldve redirected you to here was censored, I think it was retetched. Yeah, its been censored also...

Well, it worked for awhile. I don't think it would take much to set up a page that redirected to salvation, though. Frankly, doing this is just silly. Everyone is going to pay more attention to ********* that salvation. People will want to know.
I say we censor the word "broccoli" here on Salvation. It will have about the same effect as SS censoring "salvation" on MTGnews - nothing.

Yeah, I dodged that censor acouple of times. It would work better if they just warned people. Then they'd be able to choose between salvation and news, rather than scott forcing them to come here.

scott made an announcement that evading the salvation censor would be banned, thus making it a rule.
But you see, the key is that my evasion of the censor isn't really evading the censor. I'm not saying any of the banned words. Henceforth, he's going to have to change the rules again if he wants to keep people from linking to a link to MTG Salvation. It's a nice little trick, and technically I'm not saying the "bad" word.

I was told today that this kid on my team called 911 twice this morning and hung up both times. They called back and his dad answered. The reason the kid called 911? He got an erection and didn't know what to do. I wish I was making this up.

I just cannot believe what a damn idiot thing this is to do. I'm usually reasonably calm on these issues, but OH MY FRICKIN LORD!
What an *absurdly* petty thing to do. Plus, free advertising much? The first person who scott bans for this, I'll be leading the 'so, what was this guy banned for?' in the CC.

Getting banned isn't the way to go. There are so many members over there right now who feel repulsed by this forum that a mass censor evasion and banning would not help our cause, if you could call it that.
Some members remain because they still fell that the community is part of news, some because they don't like TNK, some because most of their friends are still at news, and some because they think the whole think is immature.
If, instead of being banned, we were to borrow a cliche from the bible, and turn the other cheek, perhaps some of the members over there would realise we aren't a bunch of demons.
Perhaps in TNK did punish members who go on spam raids over there, we wouldn't look like a bunch of idoits.
Perhaps if we didn't break all his rules, no matter how stupid and petty they sound, he'd realise we aren't such a big threat.
