can you add eggs to the list? its probably the fastest combo deck in extended, also ive seen a couple of decks based around Heartbeat of spring
Have it win a significant event or significant number of events and I'm all for it. Last season, it appeared in like 2-3 top 8s total, which isn't format defining by any stretch of the imagination. The same is true for Heartbeat decks, as much as I love them.
I know nothing about this format, so this question might sound a little dumb. But is Weird Harvest banned? It seems like an extremely powerful card in this format.

Top8: finishes with own creations:
7th Place out of 22 people with Enchantress Bloom @The Dragon's Lair in Springfield, MA. (11/19/06). (Legacy)
I want to share my sick technology for Naya ZOO deck, and i dont believe by far that is is supposed to go into 5c Zoo thread... i got bit sad, when i visited board today (after reeaaaalyyy looooooong pause) and didn't find dedicated thread for agro/burn zoo. I don't think it is miser deck, it is represented in tournaments in average numbers and it does makes top8's (even though you will have hard time to find 'em in deckcheck.net listed top8s).
i haven't been around for quite a time and i am aware that reading is the tech, so pardon me if I just missed the thread that i should have gone to.
I just made a new Naya Zoo thread which is now stickied over the old 5c Zoo thread (which is still around, but not as good as Naya). I also just added descriptions for several decks in the opening post! Yeah!
I am not an Extended player and have very little experiance with it in general, usually preffering to stick to T2.
What brings me here is sheer curiosity.
You see I was randomly surffing Deckcheck.net and I happened to stummble uppon this deck.
Now I've been wracking my head with this for days. Just how the hell is this deck supposed to win? I can see it pulling of a very long turn, drawing up nearly their entire library and playing a whole bunch of artifacts. But just what good is that other than to mill themselves out? The only thing I can see that can in ANY way achieve a victory is to suceed diching out of the grave that Pyrite Spellbomb. But that just seems unlikely. Were there any Tendrills of Agony or perhaps Pyroclasems in there, I would understand. But this way, I can simply not see a way for this deck to win. OR maybe it makes the opponent conseed by boaring them so with having such a long turn?
Please, may somebody explain to me this phenomena of T1X. THX
Yes, it wins with Pyrite spellbomb, recurring it over and over again.
It's not a strong deck in the metagame, from what I hear it's a fairly skill intensive combo that is easily disrupted. There's a reason it doesn't get much play.

A card game about Presidents. Stabbing each other. With knives.
The link is broken, but I presume you mean the Omlettes aux lotus/sunny side up eggs combo.
The aim is to play a load of eggs (a la chromatic star), cycle through them, draw some cards then bring them all back with second sunrise. you then repeat (recycling sunrises with Conjurer's Bauble & shuffle effects) to draw your whole deck.
With an empty library: Sac spellbomb for 2, sac a lotus bloom for WWW, sac a Bauble to put a sunrise on the bottom of your (empty) library, draw a card (hello, sunrise!) and play it. then repeat until your opponent is dead.
It is stupidly easy to disrupt though (Chalice @1, extirpate, a well timed counterspell) ruin it. It is prone to fizzling and is rather tricky to play.
It is a lot of fun though. I have a version knocked up somewhere, and goldfish for fun every now and then.
no Umezawa's Jitte for Money Cards to Own in Extended
If you read the first page, dude claimed that Jitte wasn't played much in 1.x. It wasn't in 2k6, when this thread was created, but I think this one needs updating.
question: why isn't there a NLU thread? it's quite a different deck than Fae...
It wasn't really a standout deck in the last extended season. The threads probably aren't going to be updated and moved around again until the next season starts and we begin to get actual data on the metagame.
If NLU performs well in the next season, then it will probably get a thread. (Thought the same thing that happened to the Loam Rock/Death Cloud and Rock threads might happen, with people getting the decks mixed up and talking about both of them on both threads.

is this going to get updated by someone now that onslaught has rotated out. i took a 2.5 year break after grand prix columbus (man did flash tick me off) but now am checking things out again. this still has teps etc in it, would love an updated primer, especially taking into consideration the gp this weekend.

The GP this weekend isn't extended, it's Limited.
I think the next big tournament involving Extended is Worlds. The extended PTQ season won't start for a couple months...

The latest big Event Was Pro Tour Austin, which had Extended play, and the primer aught to be updated now.

The reason this wasn't updated for the post rotation Extended was because there was no definitive post rotation Extended format that had any established metagame. Even after this one (1 [singular]) event, we still don't have a definitive metagame because the new Extended's opus now defines what the control decks should expect, what the combo decks need to tinker their mechanations around, and what the aggro decks need to sideboard for.
I have just gone through the arduous task of completely resetting every thread in this subforum to reflect the results posted from Pro Tour Austin, which is no easy trial because there are hundreds of decklists I had to read through before getting a good grasp on what was really good, so please keep the context of timeliness in mind before you complain about that again unless you'd like to go through and help me organize this (this is also not an attack and is in all actuality a request as we've had people help out with stuff like keeping updates from MODO and the like and it made this subforum a lot more efficient).
In conclusion, I will update this thread after I bowl for a while and possibly have a strong drink or 10 in me.
Kijin, sorry if I came across as complaining, I surely didn't mean to. Anyone who remembers me from back in the day here or on mtgnews knows that isn't really my style. I really appreciate all you and the mods do. I was really just trying to find out how often it gets updated and get to know what i could expect. i'm really far behind catching back up. The last time i played an extended tournament was me top 8ing a ptq in Chicago in March of 2007. I'm a little out-dated

No problem, friend. Ilu.
It's just that the final information just became available yesterday, so asking me to have this all organized by today by noon is kind of harsh, especially absent a metagame prior to the PT.
