Lapse was pretty huge against Cryptic when these decks were Standard-legal. Lapse won me numerous games when the control player tried to tap down my team to avoid losing.
Yeah, Lapse is pretty much in the sb just for CC, I wish it were not true, but that's the way it is. CC is probably the best and most played card in the format, so I think it's justifiable. I mean, it's not like it's only good against CC, but it seems like there are no other answers to CC.
@ Gallows- Against 5CC, I board out the three Meadowgrains for the three Lapses since life doesn't really matter at all. Meadowgrain is also a two-drop that has a hard time killing the opponent alone, meaning you kind of need to overcommit in order to use Meadowgrain effectively, which isn't necessarily what we want to be doing against control since our one-drops can put them on a decent enough clock.
Would Squadron Hawk be any good in this deck? Add some Ajani Goldmane too?
Squadron Hawk is much too slow, and while Ajani would be okay in a token/Kithkin version of the deck, Elspeth is just better overall since she's great pre- and post-Wrath.
I do wonder why other players have decided to cut path to exiles down to 3 or less, it seems too good of a card against the different manlands and things like demigod of revenge, vengevine, and most of all wurmcoil engine...
Ive found most of the manlands to be Way too much trouble, raging ravine, creeping tar pit, and celestial collonnade arent easy to block, well...block and kill anyway. At least with path you can get rid of it.
Ive personally found that ever since flagstones of trokair left the format, steppe lynx has been too unreliable, especially since its the only card in the deck that landfall would matter for.
@JasonLP, Congrats! Im curious to how much you like the elite vanguard, and also, how well did Stillmoon Cavalier work for you? (Im glad to see someone else remember that card exists. lol)

Stillmoon was the ☺☺☺☺! I wish I had more of them in the side. Screw removal for this deck... just aggro and protection.
Yes! haha yay, also with Stillmoon being a mana dump, it surprisingly won me a game against RUG goodstuff just by being able to fly, between him and linvalla, it shut my opponent down.
Ive already been using it as a 2of in sideboard against control, elves, Jund, even rdw, basically any deck I can think of that would want to do multiple things in the same turn. I am pleased to see the deck do well once more.
I am curious as to why war priest of thune, (and or wispmare) over instant speed such as demystify?
Also, maybe this is just a personal thing, but can it be explained to me why Steppe Lynx is an auto 4of in most lists? Ive always found it to be too...unreliable.
Instant speed works well vs decks like mythic and tempered steel, it can really mess up a combat phase. lol On top of that, it works well for whenever Wargate tries to combo out with Prismatic Omen.
i played a GTP for Atlanta a 2 weeks ago with kithkin i made it to the finals i play 4 path to exile and, 3 brave the elements and 1 o-ring no ajani doesnt do anything against 4CC and now against faries have mass removal i play elspeth tirel ranger of eos sideboard against mono red with the other tenders
I dunno what could be thrown in for support other than Leyline, O-Ring, an Path to Exile. Seems decent enough, though.
I especially like Knight of the White Orchid. A 2/2 first striker that ramps for white. Wish he was in Standard, still.
EDIT:
I like the looks of Mirran Crusader, Knight of the White Orchid, Student of Warfare, Stillmoon Cavalier, Knight of Meadowgrain, Accorder Paladin, Hobgoblin Dragoon, Kinsbaile Cavalier, and Knight Exemplar.

I used the filter lands to thin out the deck, not for offense... seemed smarter at the time.
Stillmoon was the ☺☺☺☺! I wish I had more of them in the side. Screw removal for this deck... just aggro and protection.
Stillmoon vs Jund and Faeries is remarkable.

I'm with you on Wispmare... either Evoking it or hard cast it and it leaves a 1/3 flier to block and/or attack with.

Has anybody been gaming with O-ring? I think I will try it out.
Student of Warfare, Accorder Paladin, Leonin Skyhunter, Hero of Bladehold, Knight Exemplar, etc.
Most knights are cheap and strong... maybe Light from Within and Honor of the Pure?
Or is this getting to slow for WW in Extended?
Hrm. I don't play extended, but I was reading these forums for just this - only because I know Knights have been, historically, utterly bada**.
Let's see what knights are legal in Extended:
