Anyone running a Extended deck with these? I have been kicking the idea as i have a full play set of mass polymorphs and a few of the bigs guys like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.
My main board would be Emy, Madrush, Iona (maybe +1 but this will reduce the consistency), side with approaite fattys per matchup. And Fog against aggro.
Drop the low cost artifact creatures sub theme. You don't want to tutor the turn after you morph nor do you want to polymorph into Ornithopter. You want to win.
Given up magic because a)its a waste of money b)it sucks the joy out of life c)im doing more interesting things than tapping pieces of plastic that have no intrinsic value.
I encourage you to do the same. Instead of FNM try Friday Night Something Spontaneous. Instead of thousands of hours and dollars on plastic imagine it with a significant other or friends sharing something meaningful. I randomly typed a new password, so bon voyage itches i encourage you to follow suit! Cheers
You don't need the cyclops when you're flipping an emrakul.
1 of each the eldrazi is good as is stormtide leviathan and Inkwell Leviathan
Please op, don't mistake this for rudeness, but ignore this advice.
You don't flip Emrakul, the Aeons Torn into an extra turn when you Polymorph because you didnt cast him. His extra turn DOES not trigger. Cylops puts immediate lethal damage on the table, lets Iona and Emrkul fly over the top even if the anhhilte doesnt kill the entire board.
And no each of the Eldrazi are not as good as Stormtide Leviathan. If your playing against a deck that can put more than 3 creatures on the board, and if you happen to be playing a slow combo deck that likes to tank damage like say...i dont know...POLYMORPH a lot of games your going to be close to death. And if you follow Silex's advice and took out Madrush Cylops your not even going to win when you cast Polymorph.
For example...your playing against Jund.
They have 3 sprouting thrinax tokkens, siege gang commander in play, they cast bloodbraid elf, into blightning swing in and lightning bolt is thrown at your face. Your board is 3 Eldrazi's, who are "apparntly as good as Stormtide Levitihan", whose abilities didn't trigger because you didn't cast, who didnt win when you cast and despite being huge giants are capable only blocking 3 creatures, whose combined abilities arent going to stop the Jund player raping your face when he i)untaps and burns you with seigegang ii)cast bloodraid elf into blightning iii)swings for 11 damage and burns for 12 more. Ask yourself...do you like winning? The perfect trio of creatures will completly lock out certain decks
ORyou run
Iona, Shield of Emeria, call Red so they cant cast 80% of their deck (or at least the most explosive parts of it) Stormtide Leviathan, so they cant even attack, and Platinum Emperion so they cant deal any damage to you? Clearly 3 huge Eldrazi (glorifed blockers) were better.
Please listen to people who love the deck your wanting to build and who have actually played it.

Might have sounded a little harsh, appolgies. Its an easy mistake to make. I was chastised for making it and now i pass it on. Polymorph is a deck i have loads of experience with. When i was fresh eyed and wet behind the ears the store owner at the LGS was spanking me all around M10, and did it to even greater effect when Mass Poly came out. After 1 solid year of fighting against this he taught me two things, how to build it and play against it.
I always mained Cylops, Emy, Iona (often 1 more, which can be sourced from bellow)
4 Fog Aggro
then a balance of different counter spells
X Flashfreeze
X Spell Pierce
I'll try to find a list of mine.
Unfortunally polymorph is a deck that should really abuse jace 2.0 (yes Jace, the Mind Scultpor). There few decks that abousltly need Jace 2.0.
I consider them over the last few months of Standard to be.
-Turboland
-RUG
-Polymorph
He shuffles your creatures back into library with his brainstorm, digs for combo and defends your life total. I'll see if i can find a non Jace list.
It was allways G/U
Garukk, tokens, untaps two lands for counter magic
Jace 2.0, is jace
Deprive, solid counter spell, bounces utility lands, run 2
Mana Leak, pretty good, run 4 or more than you do deprive
Mass Poly
Awakening Zone, make token
Growth Spasm, make tokens and ramp
See Beyond, dig for combo, shuffle creatures back into library
Khalni Garden, more targets
Halimar Depths, use with deprive
Misty Rainforest
Iona
Madrush
Emy
X Metachoice Creature
In extended run Polymorph and Mass Polymoph. Keep Polymorph in your sideboard. To be used against Thought Hemorrhage etc, as for other extended tweaks/changes...ill have to get back to you!

Oh god, a typo! Let's all flip out! That's about as bad as someone refusing to capitalize pretty much every card in his post and even missing a period at the end of each of TWO SENTENCES!
*coughs meaningfully at the above post*
A Mass Polymorph deck probably shouldn't run more than 4 targets or you'll have too many dead cards in your hand on average. I'd suggest Iona (shuts down nearly everything, retarded card), Emrakul (wins if it sticks around, but dies to sweepers), Ulamog (almost as good as Emrakul if it sticks around, but dies to ItR and JtN), and Stormtide Leviathan (messes up Ulamog, sure, but that's irrelevant since you're also running Emrakul).
Options for more hilarity, though probably less competitiveness, include playing RUG to pack Sarkhan Vol for hastiness and to get some use out of your little tokens like the faeries and plants.
Dauntless Escort is also worth considering in place of Madrush Cyclops, depending on your colors. If you go Bant for this you could hardcast it if you draw into it; Madrush Cyclops, by comparison, can't be hardcast in any real Mass Polymorph deck. Escort allows Iona to name something other than White while your creatures are still protected from Day.
It would probably do well with Myr Battlesphere and kuldotha forgemaster too if you ran a bunch of low cost artifact creatures.
I suggest Emy + Iona, Shield of Emeria and aformentioned cyclops as the only 3 creatures you main deck.
Of course mix it up between matchups with a sideboard. 3-4 Pellaka Wurm destroys RDW decks, or a mix of them.
Stormtide Levithan, Platinum Emporium are solid anti aggro choices as well. Use with Iona/Emy.

Extended lists are usually BU. Bitterblossom and such. I think UBG could be neat. Lets you run thoughtseize, maelstrom pulse, and bitterblossom. You also get a good mana base from filters like sunken ruins and flooded grove. And extended lets you run cryptic command.
This would actually be horrendous. You don't want to morph into crap. You want to morph into win cons everytime. As such you run other permanents and spells that make dudes: garruk wildspeaker, dragon fodder, goblin assault, khalni garden, bitterblossom, elspeth, spectral procession, awakening zone, growth spasm, etc. The red options are IMO the worst so you have to decide what you want the shell of your deck to be
UG
UB
UBG
UBW
UW
UWG
are all playable
What the hell is "cylops". You mean CYCLOPS?

Its not bad but inconsistent because of I play 3 birds of Paradise and 4 Sea Gate Oracle..
I also play 3 shape a new. Its slow because Because u can hit cards of u wouldnt want from a shape a new and a polymorph.
But Im still working at it.
