Apologies, this is a MODERN Artifact deck, not extended
...Maybe a kind-hearted mod could move this for me?
Thank you for the catch Blind Piper!
Intro:
This deck originally started out as a beat-face, straight up affinity deck; but as newer conflux cards started to come out, I thought that the deck could have been made a little 'beefier.' However, I think that right now the deck is stuck in an awkward affinity-but not affinity playstyle.
Who I Play
I thought that it would be important to mention that these-non standard decks are really meant for casual play. The group at my local gaming store is pretty chill, and also have looser terms with the banlist, so most cards still see play. These decks are mostly made for fun, but also to win
How it plays:
Currently, this deck is a little slower than I had originally expected. I can normally drop about two to three cards on turn 1, but by turn three im usually stuck with a Tempered Steel or Archangel in my hand that doesn't see play until I'm lucky enough to get more white lands. However, if the right cards are drawn, the opponent doesn't have enough resources early game to stop the force of the machines.
What I'd like to change:
As said before, I feel like this deck is stuck as a half-inity (affinity?) playstyle. I can usually get out most of my hand by turn 2, but after that I pretty much sit and wait for a few cards while the artifacts provide a quick distraction. After a few games, I quickly realized that I don't have an answer for anything. There is no removal or any bit of control in this deck, and that probably should change. Also, the deck is two cards over 60. What should I drop?
