My local store runs a weekly Extended event (weird, I know) and I'm getting a bit bored with my deck now so I was wondering what I should swap to or if I should swap at all. (If enough people say the deck I'm playing now I might have to reconsider, but I won't say what it is as not to bias anything).
I'm just looking for a path to go on and figured this would be a good way to get on track...
if it was tomorrow? i'd be running my elves...
if tomorrow was the day of the PT, idk i've got a couple ideas in the works (i'm kinda partial to the Jund Ascension deck i'm working on)

I concur theres so many people out there with jaces and mystics that they won't resist the oppurtunity to use them. Elves trump u/w control
hahahahahahahahahahahaha, elves trumps a deck with with 1 mana removel spells into *** into sower, with a sword that gives protection from your deck? lol.
In response to OP u/w is the strongest deck, faries and scapeshifts are probably the alternates with kotr based decks coming in after that, I would play u/w faries
im playing in philly and my playtest partner and i have been grinding some good testing the last couple of weeks. i havent settled on a deck right now but esper-Fae and Naya seem the best we have tested so far, turn 2 BB into turn 3 SFM is just so powerful....and the power level of cryptic and cliques is pretty good. tonight we plan to test G/W trap and Bant so i guess the jury is still out. if the tourney was tomorrow id have to say Naya im the most comfortable with it.
I've only played this extended format once and went 3-0 versus u/w using aggro elves. Pro green is irrelevant as is day of judgment as Ezuri is a house.
I don't know we tested extended for about 10 hours and we had a generic elf deck in the gauntlet that couldnt beat anything, maybe your u/w list was bad? should have been maining dismembers and missteps
@ ins, holy crap dude, i wanted to play praetors council in a deck similar to this in standard, but THAT list looks really awesome and super fun to play. Cryptic command(duh) and reality spasm look awesome in it, i would love counseling to get back those cards.
Also 20 lands! So much meat in that deck, id be interested in seeing a write up on the decks performance.
If that deck had Mental Missteps available, I would have top 8ed a PTQ with it. I literally lost a match to Thoughtseize and Spell Pierce. The other match I lost was to a Bant deck because I couldn't draw one of 30 outs in game 2 and my opponent played 4 Jaces and 2 Elspeths, so I didn't have Into the Roils in for game 3 against the 2 Gaddock Teegs he boarded in.
That deck was really, really good. I don't think that it's possible to express the emotion that goes on in your brain when you play a Beleren, -1 it to draw, bounce draw it with Cryptic Command, replay it and -1 it, play another Beleren to kill it off, and then Praetor's Counsel. For that metagame, it was incredible. People were tapping out to equip SoFaF and swing in, and I was casting ninja Fogs and then untapping into a Mana Reflection (and sometimes a Time Warp from there, because it only takes a basic land and a Flooded Grove to cast Time Warp when you have a Reflection out).
