I think the main point of Sylar holding up HRG's license was to show that he now knows where HRG lives. All driver's licenses have the owner's home address on them.
A great episode, as always. I didn't notice the easter egg on Tou-san's plates, but that's terrific.
Can people hear Invisi-man and Peter while they're intangible? I'm guessing not, since the people on the streets would have had a different reaction if they had heard people talking.
As a side note, I hope that in future episodes Claire gets an adamantium skeleton (lol).
lol. And claws!
Yeah I just assumed it was because he knew where HRG lived now but I thought it could be for another reason I just wasn't sure. But a driver's license with no name on it is pretty secretive I guess. I suppose there's some other significance than just the address.
Also, with the invisible man, I'm assuming that they can't hear them even though they can feel them.
That was a great episode. Though it didn't have any of the cops story arch, it was good. Solo needs a power darnit, and he needs a good one.
Nathan is a "hoe", every female character with powers he's met he has slept with. I want him to tell Claire that he's her daddy in a vader voice, it would give the show a point of coolness.
Anyways, Ted as a tragic villian could make alot of sense. Though Wireless seems to have an evil side already.
I hate the story arch thier putting Michas family threw. In the two or so months that the shows story is supposed to have happened, thier have been way to much stuff that has jerked the characters around. Maybe I just want them to become more involved in the main story line.:-/
i think the people on the street can hear peter and the invisable guy. thats why when peter ran out of the apartment the invisable guy covered peters mouth.

Life moves pretty fast sometimes, if you don't stop
and look around every once and a while you could miss it. - ferris bueller
People can definately hear Claude and Peter. But try listening to a person 10 feet away from you on a busy NY street and you can see why it is a moot point.
I wonder if Claude's ability is optional.
Future hiro returns in episode 20.
Here are my guesses on the death:
Sylar is going to team up with Mohinder for a bit, trying to track people down on the list. From what I have heard, Mohinder survives, but Sylar uses him to find another hero to kill. Sylar also ends up with the list, forcing Mohinder to race against him to warn people. 6 to 1 Mohinder is the regular to die.
HRG is very likely to die in episode 17. And will probably pass the torch on to someone else. I'd say the odds are 2 to 1 HRG bites it.
Clare is a 10 to 1 shot to be killed. Peter is almost asured to be in the clear.
Niki is also 10 to 1 from what I have seen.
Simone is an 8 to 1 to die, but probably won't. The death is supposed to be more pivotal.
Matt and Jessica fight next episode. She kicks his ass. But I heard she gets shot.
Ted shows up in episodes 16 and 17. Blows stuff up too.
Great episode, although I find powerless Hiro to be a bit tiresome. As for Nathan being Clare's father I saw that coming when I saw the pink shirt. Peter is a lot more powerful with his new abilities. Does this explain his dreams? Was he using the powers he absorbed from Issac subconsciously? I'm woundering if Syler has any more powers. It is obvious that he doesn't need to reveal them since telekinesis pwns, but was that his only successfull power absorbtion? Did it take him a long time to study the brain. One of his (HRG's) subordinates told HRG he could only find the gene for telekinesis. I also can't wait to see Ted and possibly Wireless in episodes 16 and 17. Also, quick question. How many episodes are left in the season and when is the bomb set to go off? In the mean time, Future Hiro FTW
Ace-- I fail to see how that was "so predictable" when the community as a whole was aboout 4/1 in support of Linderman as her father. I mean, even if you check the last two pages here or on the official Heroes forum, how many people took Nathan as their guess? (Discounting me of course)
I'll happily point you to 9thWonders, where the general community (probably the biggest fan base forum for Heroes) was in agreeance that _____ was her father.

I'm not sure what you're basing your odds off of. I mean, specifically, did they say someone else was slated to die? I find the cop's character less than entertaining. Peter already has the psychic ability so we don't really need useless cop anymore. HRG seems to be too resourceful to die easily.
Anyone think that peter could stop the explosion if he was just unconscious? Though I wouldn't want to punch such a pretty face as callously as Claude did >_<.
Oh, and if Sylar and Peter were together, shouldn't Peter have Sylar's power? I mean if Sylar's power is to see how things work?
I'm interested to see what other abilities Sylar has absorbed.

And now I wish Peter had met Eden.
Odds are based off of everything I have read over at 9th wonders, in other words, a mix of storyline, interviews, and whatever we know about the behind the scenes stuff like contracts and shooting.
Peter seems to be externally stable when he is unconcious, but also gets out of control fast. The next few episode summaries say nothing about what will happen to him.
I like Matt. His character should become more interesting as he starts falling in with or against some of the more menacing characters on the show.
HRG dying is the only way to get Claire on the road. I have the feeling if she just ran away, daddy would track her down fast unless he was taking a dirt nap.
Peter's dream power actually comes from the old guy he was nursing at the start of the series.
Peter might have sylar's powers. We don't know what level of exposure he needs to add it to his list of abilities yet. Sylar might also have powers that work differently from the other heroes. HRG's and Co. couldn't find any beyond TK, but it is clear he has them (at least super memory and freezing.)

and he's really fast. If Claire runs to New York to see her father then it's possible she runs away from her dad. The Haitian might be able to help her out there but he might also die as a result of it. Dunno bout that though.
Claire, in Peter's dream, was running toward him and she was in her cheerleader uniform. The problem with that is the cheerleading squad was disbanded because of the death of that chickadee. So why's she wearing it in New York?
I wish I had seen the first few episodes now I don't know about the freezing or the dreaming abilities other than second hand information.
I just figured he was channeling Isaac because when peter was sleeping, Isaac was painting. and they seemed to put those two together.
So is Sylar really really fast or is he just putting up some sort of telekinetic field Neiji style? Why is he immune to bullets and how is it he survived the fall that Peter forced him into?
I'm almost positive now Peter's vision is a lot less like he sees it then it will be. Note how Claude is laughing at Peter from the side, and now he is his teacher-- makes sense he'd laugh at his pupil as he was failing. Though this won't be happening as he's having problems, it will happen in the days leading up. As will Nathan approaching Peter, and gripping him-- saying "let me help you, Peter", as will Claire running up to Nathan and Peter, seeing his dad with the man who saved her, and then running in shock. In the cheerleader uniform because of how Peter remembers her best.
Just his perception.
That vision will never come to pass with those people there.

The Legendary Storyline Poster--- Ixidorsdreams (yeah, it was me ;))
Excellent episode. I loved Hiro's dad and sister. Heck, I love Hiro!! I wonder what he's gonna tell Linderman about the painting.
I think that we still might not know who Claire's father is. Nathan was too obvious an answer. Plus I'm pretty sure HRG's bosses would have picked him up long ago if they knew he was Claire's father. Mohinder will be able to confirm or deny this claim. I'm betting Nathan did sleep with Claire's mom though. Or maybe his father did and she called the number thinking she would reach him. *shrug*
Linderman is getting more and more mysterious. Why would he spring Nikki? She did actually kill all those guys in DL's crew plus the guys in Vegas. Maybe she didn't remember the murders in Vegas. Jessica is asserting herself alot more now. I'm still pondering what makes her so much stronger(physically) than Nikki. Its the same body but its clear Jessica is much stronger.
As for this much talked about death, I think its Ando. He has been a very good friend to Hiro by coming to America with him but Hiro doesn't need him to continue the story. Hiro may need a big push to go from Hiro to being a hero. None of the characters have made the full transition yet.
I hope Frequncy and Ted are in some upcoming episodes. Ted is going to make or break New York's destiny. I hope Peter gets to him before Sylar does. Matt could help find him but would probably just call the cops on him. I wonder if the Haitian can negate his powers. Heck, what about Claude's powers?
Ando can't die, the comic relief rarely dies. I say Simone. No one too shocking, but no one too tame (like Claire's mom? I thought Sylar killed her for a moment there and I thought at that moment "what a lame character death.")
Also, to explain Nikki/Jessica, the body has been known to demonstrate beyond-ordinary levels of strength in stress, as a result of stress endorphins and whatnot, so I'd say the most logical explanation for them is that Jessica taps into those hormones when she's active, and amplifies them (not a stretch given some of the other character's powers.), giving her truly superhuman strength.
All of the Heroes' abilities are somewhat explainable, even if it is a stretch sometimes. Peteri is a DNA Chameleon, Claire has regeneration (which many animals have, albeit not as fast.), Sylar, Hiro and the Haitian all have access to their latent brain potential (the junk DNA of the human brain, turned on for them.). Claire's mom can combine chemicals in her to combust.
A few you can't really justify by any stretch of disbelief, like Nathan's jet pack flying ability and DL's phasing, but for the most part the abilities are grounded in at least some shred of believability.
I love how this entire thread is basically all spoiler after spoiler after spoiler. No matter how hilarious I find that, I'm glad it is... I still haven't watched yesterday's episode. As far as somebody said that they think that the people can hear the invisible people, I thought it was obvious that they made sound from the get go.
Well after just finishing last nights episode tonight I have to say that I hope Nikki really gets it now. If she is so insistant on stopping jessica she will basically have to off herself.
I will be really upset if Jessica does something to Nikkis kid and she still doesn't have the balls to end her life. There is a time when killing yourself off is justified like if your a psycho serial killer and completely sane and normal at the same time.
I am glad that Peter is starting to get to be really awesome his whole leeching thing was kinda silly. But now he is finally starting to control his powers and once he accomplishes that he will be by far the most powerful hero in the series.
He springs nikki most likely because Nikki, after killing her therapist, calls linderman and makes a deal. Set someone else up and get her out of prison so that she can be with DL and Micah. In exchange Nikki will work for Linderman. It's not enough to just break out of the asylum, she has to be cleared of all charges.
Ali Larter just can't seem to stay away from insane asylums (re: Final Destination 2.)
I don't think Jessica would do anything to Micah. For all intents and purposes, Micah is her son too.
I'm just hoping they don't turn out to be a trio of scoundrels and bad guys. That'd put a damper on the show for me.
For Blue or anyone else who has missed episodes and doesn't want to download them, go to NBC.com, and you can watch full episodes in streaming video. They have all of them still up, and they are broken into parts, which is really nice.
I don't think Sylar is super fast, he gets up to NY from Texas in a day. You could take a plane pretty easy, or a bus to get up there in a few days.
The scene with Claire and Nathan is set in Texas. She doesn't need to go far (at first...)
Sylar has been shot at before, by Matt. The bullets don't hit him, but they do knock him back. I guess he has to use TK to spread out the force of impact.
Simone dropped heavy hints in the first episodes that her dad had some kind of dream related power. Different from the kid in India who enters your dreams, they are more like a bunch of symbolism of what is to come. They are not like Issac painting, since he envisions a single scene, that quickly freezes into a painting.
The visions Peter is having of his explosion seem to all be symbolism. I doubt matt will have on his uniform, NY will be abandoned, or Claire will be in cheerleader gear. It is supposed to represent how people will react to him. Niki and DL flee, Matt tries to direct people safely away, claire wants to help him but can't, claude laughs at his inability, and nathan is the only one to come forward to help him.
Linderman springs nikki since if you knew someone that could do what she would do and you were in the mob, you would want her as a hitman, no question.
Ando doesn't die. Any character shown in the dream sequence with Peter is supposed to make it to the last episode. HRG is the one to bite it. March 5th.
Sucks, since he is one of my favorite characters.
Check out this forum's Spoiler Policy. And be careful about what questions you leave untagged. If you're asking a question about something someone else said within spoiler tags, the best bet is to use tags for the question as well.
I liked Monday's episode. Hiro's story is getting boring disturbingly quick, especially since Hiro himself is starting to become a bit one-note.
The rest under a tag:
Claire's story continues to be the best. I liked her mother and their interaction was good. The revelation of who her father is was a bit predictable (as an aside, sleeping villain, I'm not sure what Heroes community you were looking at because Nathan has been the sure bet for weeks everywhere I lurk, especially once Adrian Pasdar made some comments a few weeks back about a surprising familial connection coming up for Nathan). But that revelation will have interesting consequences for the future.
Sylar is still pretty boring. He has the potential for being really awesome, but I'm not really interested in him yet.
HRG is great, though. Both caring and sinister, I love that we still aren't really sure where he fits on the white hat-black hat continuum.
Peter's Karate Kid lessons with Doctor Antisocial were a little trite until the rooftop. That was just neat. I didn't expect Peter to have residual Claire-osity, as spoiled as I was for everything else. I like that he doesn't have to isolate himself from those he cares about to embrace his powers. Can't wait to see what comes next.
I liked how Niki was sprung from the clink. I knew she would never voluntarily leave, so I was wondering how they'd get her out. It still remains to be seen whether Jessica cut a deal with Linderman or if he did it on his own.
Simone + Isaac = the episode's pacing grinding to a halt. I gave the two of them probation for not completely sucking lately, but then they went and screwed themselves. Do better, cardboard actors!
Yeah, Hiro is boring me now. The storyline with his dad was pretty pointless (they already covered the "hero being tempted with a distracting but alluring offer" weeks ago) and stinks of gimmick casting. Which was silly because who really gives a shi about Sulu nowadays?
I'm glad Matt wasn't around. As interesting as he can be, every scene he's n with his wife now makes my brain bleed.
kman:
Not sure about Frequency (I think 'Frequency' and 'Wireless' are the same person), but 'Wireless' is a new hero we'll be seeing soon. She (Hana) was already previewed in the comics on the official site, but we'll see her for real on the show very soon. She has the ability to intercept electronic communication. Email, phone, fax, satellite, etc. It makes her the perfect spy for the electronic age.
Frequency was sleeping Villain's botching of the name Wireless. She's a hero (or perhaps villain) who can connect to the Internet with her brain from anywhere. She contacted Ted, the nuclear guy, over Instant Messenger while he had no Internet connection.
