I'll hazard Kimbo is Kimbo Slice, a street-fighter/martial artist of some sort.
More of the former, not so much of the latter.
Couture will go K.O. by Lesnar first 50 seconds... or couture will submit Lesnar.
This fight is interesting to me. Everyone I have talked to says that Couture's experience will come out on top and he will get a submission victory over Lesnar. Couture has only 2 Sub victories in his entire career. 7 KO's and 7 Decisions. For some reason, this makes me think he is not going to be subimitting Lesnar.
This does not mean that I think Lesnar will K.O. Randy. All I saw from the Lesnar v Herring fight was the Lesnar is very good at laying on top of people and not doing anything. I mean 3 rounds of total control over Herring and he couldn't finish him. That just seems very poor to me.
Another aspect of this match is that history has shown that Couture has had trouble with bigger wrestlers. And as we all know, Lesnar is the biggest dude to ever step in the cage.
My personal choice for this matchup will be Randy. I wanted Lesnar to be the best in the Heavyweight division the second he stepped in the cage with Mir. His sheer size and his frightening speed instantly got me hooked. After he lost to Mir, he admitted that he messed up and Mir was the better fighter. Being humble goes a long way in my book (Fedor, you are god). We all know what happened to that humbleness after the Herring fight. Then Lesnar says nobody should give a **** about Fedor... bluh... Lesnar could have been an awesome fighter if he could keep that trash-talking WWE mouth of his shut.
Despite the fact that I hate Lesnar a lot, I just don't see Randy winning this matchup.
And the silva - cote fight is just plain sad....probably will get that one of a torrent site, definitly not staying up till 5 am for it.
Alright, Kimbo losing means EliteXC goes under. Which means gods like Lawler and Sheilds get hired under the UFC and the lesser young guys get WEC contacts. This is great news for Zuffa inc., UFC and Dana White. Kimbo losing was a win for existing fans but a lose for the money tank and casual fans. But it is true that UFC will now have a more talented roster, thusly more fans will buy the pay per view. Anyway, yes, White deliberatly reply one of the greatest fights in recent history to make XC seem scrub like..and it turned out, they didn't even need to. Seth Petruzelli is not a "relative no name", he IS a no name. Last time we saw him in a decent fight was 4/5/07, he was choked out in the 2nd round. BTW he weighed 30 pounds less then Kimbo and had to gain a pound to fight Slice. That wasn't the fight Magic Mage. This:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ejAY1iV_OwNote: Kimbo almost didn't take the fight and in order get him to take it, EliteXC had to pay Kimbo an "undisclosed amount". Didn't this guy get payed for fighting any man at any time any where? What a f***ing joke.
In actual news, Diego Sanchez has a ruptured spleen and Josh Kosheck will fight Thiago Alvez. Go Alvez!
Also does anyone see the obvious fight that could be looming in around Feburary or March 2009? Lesnar def Couture and Mir def Nogueira means we see Lesnar vs Mir II for the belt. Lame.
Lesnar won! Congratulations to Brock, I am quite pleased. I liked Brock a lot when he was in WWE, and I was hoping the transition would go well. In any case, Lesnar won by TKO (punches) in the second round. Wonder who his next opponent will be?

Got some spare time, check out my blog, it's my first one, but it's pretty fun so far. Thanks! http://agentbill.blogspot.com/
Eh, I was rooting for Randy, but I guess the size difference was just too much for him to execute his gameplan. I sure hope he comes back to fight again, maybe even at a lower weight class.
Anyway, if I heard correctly, I think Brock's next fight will be a title defense against the winner of the Mir-Nogueira fight later this year.

This is the last i heard also. Either way it will be a good fight. Lesnar v Mir 2 or Lesnar v Nog. We really get to see how far Lesnar has come in the groud game against either of these submission guys.
The biggest UFC card of the year coming up in just over a week! UFC 92 has a stacked card with a triple main event. Time for some predictions.
Forest Griffin Vs Rashad Evans
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira Vs Frank Mir
Wanderlei Silva Vs Quinton Jackson
CB Dollaway Vs Mike Massenzio
Cheick Congo vs Mostapha Al Turk
Yushin Okami Vs Dean Lister
Matt Hamill Vs Reese Andy
There are 3 other fights on the undercard, but none that will make air.
My predictions are:
Griffin via decision
"Big Nog" 2nd or 3rd round submission
Wanderlei in the 2nd by "Axe Murder" KO
CB by Paruvian necktie in the 3rd
Cheick Congo via KO in the 2nd
Yushin by decision
Matt Hamill by TKO in the 3rd
From TMD
Round One: Bill Copes playing Stax
Bill seems like a nice guy till I see that he's playing Stax and realize (by way of a concrete Magic formula I learned from my 4th grade math teacher) he has no soul.
I forgot to post my predictions here and how did you expect CB to put another Peruvian Necktie on? All in All, UFC 92 was awesome and the only guy that lost that I was hoping for was Griffin, and that bet was with my heart, so it's all good. Rashad Evans will be a worthy champion.
Also, I'm giving myself 20 points for calling that Mir beats Nogueria and we get Mir-Lesnar II in February. It's ridiculous. BTW, I predicted that in October.
UFC 93: I'm not a huge fan. You have Rich Franklin vs Dan Henderson as the Main Event, who cares? They are bride's maids and the fight would mean absolutely nothing. Neither Hendo or Ace get another shot at Silva anytime soon, so why not have Hendo v Thales Leites, Ace v Yushin Okami, and give us something on a fight night like Silva v Chonan because I wanna see Silva tear Ryo Chonan up and see Silva avenge his loss. We can also have him fight a young guy like Bisping or maybe another trip to 205 for Silva while we get a true contender? Also Mark Colemen v Mauricio Rua? Again, Who cares? This fight means nothing in the sense of the title race in the 205 division. Coleman and Rua are far to old for me to care about this fight. What is the point of watching a fight that has no meaning? That's like 200 people going to worlds and watching a casual game. Alan Belcher vs Dennis Kang. So Kang makes his debut and is a wasted fight for Belcher? Like what does Belcher have to gain? Exactly. Jeremy Horn vs Rousimar Palhares is an awesome warm-up for Palhares and if he wins in ridiculous fashion he becomes a contestant for the Silva sweepstakes. Marcus Davis vs Chris Lytle is definently the most interesting fight on the card. Two heavyhanded guys and who knows one might climb up the ranks for a fight with GSP? Anyway, Penn v GSP is the next big one.
