I'm just curious of wich of the following games (if more than one) do yo play/own.
I own Descent and LotR: The Confrontation Deluxe Edition. The first one is an amazingly designed game, both componentwise and gamewise. Although it does require random card draw (treasures and overlord cards) and dice roll, it still more of a strategic game than luck one. The second, however, is 99% (if not 100%) pure inteligence; no dice roll, no random card draw, only pure strategy. The only luck thing about it is guessing wich character is in wich location of the opposing player, wich can alsaw be solved if both players are extremly wise. While the Descent takes about 4-7 hours of gameplay, LOTR takes no more than 30 minuts. (By the way: the art on LotR: The Conf. is absolutley amazing. It's even bettern than Magic's.) I for one recomment both of them.
I voted other. My favorite boardgame is also a "pure strategy" game, and also has no hidden information: Homeworlds, an Icehouse game. You can learn about it here. Sort of "space chess."

If evolution is outlawed, then only outlaws will evolve.
