Just a simple question. What Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game do you prefer to play? I believe I've listed all the major ones, but any obscure referals would help everybody.
I have not personally played enough of any MMORPG to make a call (30 mins-Wow; 15 min CoH; 1 hour EQ)
P.S.- Please try not to 'bash' other games; rather, support your favorite.
To me its the best MMORPG hands down. Its worth the extra $12 a month compared to Guild Wars; the content, graphics, community, and gameplay is far superior to that of other games. Also, after you reach the max lvl, there is still a plethora of things to do. Its near impossible to complete the game in its entirety (I suppose thats to point, but WoW still has more and better adventures then many others I have seen).
You may think differently, but its no contest for me.
I don't really play MMORPG's, but I did spend a weekend with EQ. And I really liked it. I just had neither the money nor the time (nor the incination, really) to subscribe. I like the vast selection of races, jobs, quests, items, etc. It really feels like a whole world, which was really cool.
I haven't played any of the others, so I can't really comment on them.
I'm going with City of Heroes since i have played it I loved it. It's alo of fun for a good while but can be repeative after a while. And making a charater is cool and fun too.

I eventually grew tired of City of Heroes becasue the quests become the same after a while and the lack of a pvp (which a future expansion may bring).
I would say World of Warcraft is the best. It is a fantastic game, but requires a dedication of time I completely lack. However, I prefer to play Guild Wars, since I can play that at my own pace - more casual than anything although it techincally isn't a MMORPG. Both of these games are great to play with friends.

If hefner was a rich, gay, playboy and had hot steamy sex with hot guys would you choose him? Of course not, mainly because im a straight male and find that stuff gross.

I got hooked on Kingdom of Loathing about a month ago. Doesn't take up as much time as other MMORPGs and its free!
Ah, you're still playing, I am too. Your name is armlx I assume? I got to lvl 15 as a Sael Clubber, then hardcore ascended into a sauceror. I donated once, made a bit of a profit from the Mr. A, but them had quite a bad beat with rafflebot. I still have about a mil, but its substantially less then the 10+ mil I had before. Oh well, I;m still having fun with it.

City Of Heros has now had PvP for about 2 months are all the players love it. But I still like it.
Also World of Warcraft is a good game too. I want to try it but I just can't afford it right now.

I dont normaly play MMORPGs anymore. Too busy realy with school and work but when I do play I play UO on a private shard. Mostly cause I'm not going to pay EA to play just so I can get killed and looted the moment I make any progress in the game.

Nothing to say right now so I'll say that I have nothing to say right now.
I personally love Everquest. Yeah, it may not be perfect, or simple, but it definetely was the easiest to get sucked into it. WoW really hasn't done that for me. I chose WoW oringially, but I think I would switch it to EQ.
The thing with WoW is that there are WAY too many idiots that play the game. With EQ, people eventually got smart enough to play it non-stupidly, but it took a while for someone to get there. With WoW, there's at least a flame war a day that happens in some zone, and it's usually over some stupid ****. Also, everyone and their mom is part of some dumb guild. I remembered when it was really only hardcore players who joined guilds, to do guild raids. Now, people just join guilds because they can, missing the whole point of them. You join guilds to have a social aspect and to do things that normally couldn't be done with a pick-up raid or group. But alas, not anymore...
Also, EQ has MUCH cooler content then WoW. EQ had some truly awe-inspiring things (such as the Planes of Power and certain zones in Velious.). In WoW, it looks pretty, but everything is either huge and sparkling or ominous and dark. That's really about it...
Oh well. Old School over New School for me.
