One of my biggest concerns about the Trump Administration is how they could effectively end the Entertainment Industry as we know it especially in regards to the Anime/Manga Industry, Video Game Industry, and the Trading Card Game / Collectible Card Game Industry by enacting tariffs on foreign licensing companies that make it rather difficult for those companies to do business in the United States unless they have a location in the country to continue selling their products here.
Net Neutrality also plays a crucial role in this as well since the Trump Administration and the majority of Republicans in Congress will be looking to roll back the current rules set by former FCC chairman Tom Wheeler especially in regards to it's implications for e-commerce companies such as Apple, eBay, and Amazon that contradicts President Trump as being pro business which is why we need a Constitutional Amendment to protect the current state of Net Neutrality rules that Tom Wheeler put in place under the Obama Administration.
I'm well aware of the fact that there's other issues that endanger our democracy and civil liberties as citizens of the United States under the Trump Administration that are just as important as my concern over the Entertainment Industry it's just that I felt like I needed to get this off my chest. I know this thread was a bit vague but the least I could do was try to get my message across it's just that I don't like the idea of President Trump trying to take away things that we're passionate about.

Vive, vale. Siquid novisti rectius istis,

It was my understanding that the TPP would have hurt the entertainment industry in this regard because it would have strengthened copyrighting practices. Maybe I misunderstood, but Trump pulling the US out of the TPP seems to be preventing these issues. In fact, to this American, it seems like the TPP was more likely to hurt us than to help us. Sure, we gained an edge over China in SE Asia in regards to trade (and maybe if you're the owner of a massive corporation such as some media or pharma giant, you would benefit from the TPP), but it seemed like it opened up a lot of opportunities for the bad to outweigh the good.
I'm definitely no expert on this and maybe I read it all wrong, so please correct me if I misunderstood. Basically the environment, American jobs for the middle-class, pharmaceutical (i.e. medicine) progress and availability, and more would have suffered if we joined the TPP.
So...I feel like Trump already did what you were hoping he would on that front.
As for net neutrality, I hadn't heard of anything he was planning. EDIT: Just looked it up. Another "oh-*****" appointment from Trump. Well...fingers crossed.
More reason to play Magic then, over foreign games.
Foreign games are plenty good though. The US isn't perfect by any stretch, and there are huge bunches of games and media in general that is produced by other companies that is preferable to stuff made here. Magic may be my favorite card game, but it's not the only one I'm interested in by any stretch. Granted there are online resources but I'd really rather not resort to those.
There are bigger impacts than just the entertainment industry though, which is more what worries me.
He taxes the crap out of Chinese counterfeit and makes Magic great again. He also abolishes the reserved list, because more cards to print = more American jobs.

Same here.
I don't want my game and media experience to be limited to just products made in the U.S. cause that would be boring unless foreign companies decide to relocate to the U.S. to do their business here to help grow the U.S. economy but If that isn't possible then that's going to create more problems than solutions that could put the Entertainment Industry in jeopardy.
President Trump's policies seem to suggest that he cares more about the G.I. Generation and Baby Boomers than Generation X and Millennials, from his rhetoric in his inaugural speech saying, "America first, America first" to the number of executive orders he recently put in place without Congressional approval, a couple of which I do support to an extent.
All the more reason why we need to be vigilant and cautious of what he does in office.

First off, why are you coloring your posts green?
Second, of course Donald Trump cares more about the Baby Boomers than Generation X and onward. He's one of them, and he clearly cares about himself more than he cares about other people. He plasters his name on everything and has a thin skin about... everything.
Third, limiting to local products is something that would be insanely unpopular inside and outside his support base. People like their technology, and they like it cheap. The U.S. (thankfully) has a way to go before turning into North Korea.

Actually, taxes on foreign imports could have an effect on the pricing of foreign cards in the US. Probably not a super-significant one, but still notable.
I don't think that there's a benefit to being scared about loss of German games before, say, loss of the US economy.

It was my understanding that the TPP would have hurt the entertainment industry in this regard because it would have strengthened copyrighting practices.
Depends on who you mean by "the entertainment industry". It would've definitely helped content producers, but it would've hurt consumers. At least, consumers who are willing to download illegally. For us as Magic players, it would hypothetically (It all depends on how well the agreement is enforced.) shut down the counterfeit card industry in Southeast Asia.
Since I'm actually against TPP, and I have other reasons as well (e.g., Malaysia suddenly not being a hellhole of human trafficking according to Obama's State Department, and quite frankly, in small-town America, to say one is in favor of free trade may as well be identifying as a Hoover conservative; that's actually a big reason Clinton lost), I must mention the flip side: It would hurt production of generic drugs.
Trump's most disastrous policy change in the entertainment, media, and tech sectors is eliminating Net Neutrality. And of course, his habit of labeling reputable news sources "fake news" while privileging the fringiest of fringe sources with first question at press conferences.

How much of our liberties and freedoms are we willing to sacrifice for the safety of our own country in an age where radical Islamic terrorists taking advantage of the free and open exchange of the Internet has made the world less safe than it's ever been before? Even countries like Russia, China, and North Korea have been taking advantage of this loop hole where the U.S. simply doesn't have the proper cyber security measures to preserve the current Net Neutrality rules commissioned by the FCC of the Obama Administration while preventing access to the Internet from those who choose to do us harm.

I'm not sure how you think a lack of cyber security has anything to do with net neutrality...?
The point I'm trying to make here is that the Trump Administration plans on getting rid of the current Net Neutrality rules as a means of beefing up our cyber security by closing the loop holes that radical Islamic terrorists are using to spread their own propaganda in order to get more people to join their cause. Net Neutrality prevents Internet Service Providers from blocking websites from consumers and without restrictions in place that makes it easy for anyone to exploit the Internet for any means necessary when the problem is finding a middle ground between privacy and security and If we go about it the wrong way online media and e-commerce will suffer as an end result.

If that is the case then please explain how DMCA takedown notices are legal and enforceable.
And also please explain how this is in any way shape or form related to Cybersecurity which should be far more interested in protecting things like the Power network, DOJ, DOD, other governmental networks and the banking system.

Fractal wrongness...I'm not sure you understand what net neutrality is. Net neutrality simply means that if I want to view CNN or MSNBC, my ISP can't penalize them by dropping my speed to something like 800 baud while Fox News gets full speed.
It has nothing to do with extremism or cybercrime. The government can still shut down a criminal site if they so desire. (Hint: That's why YouTube is so paranoid about copyright infringement.)

They're legal and enforceable as a means of dealing with copyright infringement which is different from censoring the Internet from consumers without their consent. The Trump Administration believes that Cybersecurity is about allowing ISP's to choose what websites consumers can go to when consumers should be allowed to choose where they want to browse on the Internet freely. What they should do instead is exclusively go after criminal websites without infringing on people's privacy and security.
