Voting in WI is interesting with this voter id stuff. They have these paper manuals (not bound) and there's a sixty year old guy whose volunteered for help who has accidentally shuffled the book of names, which I am in. It's a three phase id system where you have to hand your card to someone who tells another person what your name is, who struggles to find you in a book who tells another person (potentially incorrectly) what page you are on and then you have to sign the 3rd book. Then you can go vote.
It wasn't nearly this difficult to vote absentee ballot for WI.
Something tells me Trump might be able to pull it all off and win. Every time I try to write off Trump I keep forgetting how Democrats nominated such a fatally flawed candidate... not to mention we could be looking at another Brexit.
Registered for an absentee ballot, so was easy to just drop it off. Can't wait for this election to be over, and things can move on. Just hoping that on key issues we can make some headway.
My voting experience in OH was somewhere in between. I needed to provide my ID, verify my address, wait for the person to find my name in the book, tell another person my district and so on. Didn't take too much time since I went in at 7:15am. Kind of a shame I'm in such a worthless area, but I did my part with hopes that some of the people I voted for actually succeed.
It was a feisty group of propositions this go around. In addition to the standard bonds and taxes for schools and health care we had: two capital punishment votes, two plastic bags in grocery stores votes, legalizing marijuana, a two dollar tax/pack on nicotine cigs, and condoms in pornography.
Also I waited in line for three minutes to vote. This was literally the longest time I have ever waited in line to vote since starting back in 1998.
Aside from president and ballot questions, everyone on my ballot was running unopposed.
Weird. In California they select the two highest vote getters from the primaries for the general. So for Senate and State Senate I get to chose between two Democrats, but for the State Assembly and House races there are one Republican and one Democrat.
I voted in FL on Sunday. Short line, provided a government issue ID with signature (I brought a passport and a driver's license just in case) then voted. No issues here.

In Georgia I had to fill out a name/address form, have it (and my ID) checked by one person, then another person scanned the code on the back of my ID, which presumably crossed my name off the electronic list. Then I got to vote.
As far as I know, we've had this system since at least 2004, which makes it weird to watch people argue on the internet about this kind of thing.
We vote by mail in Oregon, which I find to be extremely convenient. No waiting in lines at polls, and you can fill out your ballot on your own time. We get our ballots in the mail a few weeks before the election along with a voters' guide covering every single candidate and ballot measure. You can then mail the ballots back or drop them off at a central location (usually a local library or city hall).
And yes, my state has voter ID laws. I do believe that voter ID laws are something we should implement, but not until we can implement them without disenfranchising people.
Very disappointed in Gary Johnson's results so far.
Nice to see that Crooked Hillary will not have any kind of mandate, though. Trump voters are sending a big middle finger to the corrupt establishment, the status quo and the phony scumbags in Hollywood.
We've got voter ID here, but you can get away without a valid photo ID (which, amusingly to me, includes a handgun licence) if you sign a sworn statement that there's a reason for not having one of the valid forms of ID, and bring some alternative form of identification, including things like your voter registration card or a current utility bill.
There were absolutely no lines on the 31st. There were something like a dozen booths set up, and only 3 or 4 people actually voting concurrently.
Things are certainly looking good for Trump to perhaps eke out a narrow EV win, much better than they were looking before the votes started coming in. Certainly Wisconsin being so close is surprising (and worrying). A tie is also definitely on the table.
Are you back? Good. Discuss.

I don't think Trump will win, but I don't really see that as a great victory personally.
Looking at the results so far right now, I really hope you are right because it's not looking good.

Things are looking dark, but I continue to have faith that we will see through this.
