Problem is, those "strawman conservative" positions are not necessarily so,
Remember Poe's Law,
No matter how much something might appear to be satire, we don't know if it isn't just some crazy ☺☺☺☺wad's actual position.
It was started as a serious project by someone who really is that crazy, but, predictably, as soon as the greater Internet discovered it, joke-editing became at least as popular as sincerity. The challenge, apparently, is being outlandish enough to be funny but realistic enough that the righty regulars don't spot the joke and revert it. And... well, you can see what counts as "realistic".

Democrat Cash-for-Clunkers Stimulus hurt poor, favored the Rich
The Congressional Democrats and Obama administration's efforts to favor UAW workers and New Car buyers (typically households with $60,000 plus in income) with subsidies from the United States Treasury, has been an unmitagated disaster for working families, and the poor. As a result of the federal spending program, working families and the poor now are faced with an average price increase of 10.3% for Used Cars.
The government program mandated trade-ins be crushed, leading to a shortage of used vehicles and an increase in prices. This has occurred at a time when deflation, or an overall drop in prices giving consumers more money to spend, has been a major characteristic of the Recession and Recovery.
The below chart from Edmunds.com shows year-over-year price increases suffered by those least able to afford it:

Yep,
I heard about it about when it started either on here or on freeratio.org
I'm aware of people trolling it, and how it happens, my point is more that there are likely people who actually hold the views that the trolls put in as jokes. I have some friends who have gotten ridiculously racist, I mean, I actually know people who honestly believe that this is a victory mosque, that obama is a secret muslim, that he's hurt the economy worse than bush did, and that the wars in the middle east would have happened if gore had won. Some people are just crazy
Its kind of a problem when you can't distinguish between the actual crazy and the joke crazy, no? (which is the essence of poes law, the inability to tell fact or fiction from each other)
Poe's Law was about fundamentalist Christians. The proper wording is "Any attempt at parody of fundamentalist Christian beliefs is indistinguishable from views that are held by at least one fundamentalist Christian".
The application of this Law to conservatives is a corollary.

Your first points are well placed, but the last two (specifically the Obama hurt the economy more than bush, and the AL gore War) are both unprovable. The economy was worse when bush was president that when obama was president, but
1. Most of Obama's economic changes have yet to come into effect
2. economic changes take a while to affect the macro economy
3. can you prove that either presidents actions actually affected the economy, for better or worse?
Also, how do you know what al gore would have done
1. Will you trust what a politician says?
2. Do you know al gore well enough to know what his actions would have been following 9/11?
3. Can you prove that us not going to war in the middle east has not prevented some other action that would have made al gore go to war in the middle east (even if he had not after the 9/11 attacks)?
Again, I do agree that the victory mosque, Obama being a Muslim, and in general that all Muslims are violent and hate America to be completely false statements.
I guess OP wants it to be 'keyworded' like "dies" was. What word would you replace ETB with though?

I'm missing something here. I'm not even sure if you posted in the right thread...

Blech right thread, confusing post on my part. And yes, teh quoted post is on page 52 of this thread, unless of course MTGS is being mean to me and sliding posts between threads to make me look like an idiot
Crack piper, considering you thought it was funny that people believed these things
"I actually know people who honestly believe that this is a victory mosque, that obama is a secret muslim, that he's hurt the economy worse than bush did, and that the wars in the middle east would have happened if gore had won. Some people are just crazy"
I thus assumed you did not agree with these statements. Was I wrong?

I don't think Obama has hurt the economy more than Bush did, but to me it is unlikely but still possible that the Middle East wars would have happened even if Gore had been elected.

I agree. Nor do I, but I don't think that he has helped any more either. I think that currently the economy is in a very similar position to where Bush left it (just with a slightly larger deficit, but that can be expected).
My bigger point in that was, even if Bush left the economy in a worse state than Obama how do we know that Obama's policies counteracted and fixed Bush's, and that it was not some outside influence (IE, the "natural" economic cycles)?
In general, you can't prove it, I can't prove, I can only prove that you can't prove it until you come in with some piece of evidence that analyses all factors that affect the economy, and shows that Obama's actions helped more than Bush's hurt.

You are correct that I disagree'd with what I referred to as crazy people stuff,
Your initial post looked as though you were attributing to me those beliefs.
Also,
You shouldn't use the past tense so much when dealing with our current president and his policies, bush had 8 years to bugger up the economy something fierce, obama has has 2 to get it back on track.

Yeah, and sorry for that
The past tense thing is interesting, though since I am only talking about his past actions, I think it woks at least partially. I'll have to think about that one.

Afghanistan yes, Iraq no. Iraq was mostly a Rumsfeld, Cheney, and friends goal. Not a "hard goal" as some people seem to claim, but in my personal opinion there was a level of bias there and 9/11 created such a culture of fear in the White House that combined together helped to set the seeds of the Iraq War. However, it'll take a few decades until the documents are released to see "what really happened."
Gore in my mind would've done more on trying to "get us off of foreign oil" and used 9/11 more to push for better technologies. Bush tried to push this, but didn't push it beyond a few photo ops. I still would've preferred McCain vs. Dean, and I absolutely detested Kerry.
I was skeptically optimistic about Bush early on 9/11 when he did a lot of things right, but as time went on he slipped up trying to play up being Reagan and "having faith" in the American economy to "push ahead" to "close the deficit." Pure fatalistic fantasy that cost his father a second term.
