Communication is just as important as threat assessment. You can't sit there quiet and attack the combo player without giving reason just because you want to be Ninja Brian. Let people know he's the combo player! People will identify. Sometimes they don't see it!

From my experience if your play group can not read the table themselves, then they probably will not believe or listen to you is you try to say things like "He is a turn or 2 away from comboing off".
As I see it, you've been aboyned.
See, you even claim that you usually kill 1:20; you also do not react to people expressing their opinions, but call them "people who need to be spoon fed". If you're better at evaluation than others, move on to BETTER (by your definition) PLAYERS, ones that are compatible with the skill you imagine to be having.
I havent been playing commander long but people do asses threats wrong alot of times. Usually unless someone is playing a sliver deck or super friends then the player who drops creatures bigger then 4/4's certain plainswalkers like liliana or garruk or ajani, or someone playing life gain(i play oloro alot and usually am a automatic target because of that) are singled out as threats. While the players the are dicking around waiting to draw there combos are usually left to duke it out after the above mentioned are knocked off. Thats why im bulding a monoblue arcanis combo deck. So i can sit back and card draw for the win while they take out people that play all big creatures. Did just drop a avacyn into my mono white deck. Havent got her out on the board yet though. Already know she'll attract a big bullseye.
Someone said somehing about game theory that was pretty funny. (Quoting is hard on this phone.)
Game theory supports the idea that France, England, and Spain would always team up in a 2 v 1 scenario and fight the one with the most land, economic power, or military might at the time. This way, the medium power country teamed up with the currently weakest country to take out the strongest country. This is game theory, AND exactly what the author is saying.
On the tone, your tone is no more out of place than the tone of the people complaining about yours. This is the internet, good informatio is found in any tone. Prejudices stop us from being patient enough to find them.
Good article.
