Playtesting the black deck has shown that it has no proper clock, and a lot of decks have non-land mana sources. I suggest using a sword or jitte to speed things up a little, so you can kill before they draw one of those....
I feel like that is something characteristic of all pox decks. When facing decks such as these it is important to change you battle plan to getting rid of those sources. Once contamination hits, as long as heirarch is not in play everything is good. The board plan can be built to counter such decks as well, depending on what your meta looks like. perish is an example of something that can be brought in.
Really, something like mox diamond is difficult to deal with, but luckily it's not very common. Once again, the board can be built to answer such decks if they exist in your meta.
SClone, Ratchet Bomb and Powder Keg are both budget SB options that can take care of the mana producers commonly found in other decks and they happen to be fine collateral hate for tokens/Delver. Powder Keg also destroys artifact lands, despite how uncommon those have become, making it an excellent way to have an Affinity player dislike you.
-spooky- I am very grateful for these articles. I link them on FB for our local game store so that the Standard players who want to take the leap in to Legacy can do so without a serious financial commitment. I've followed your threads in the forums previously and built a few budget lists to loan out to curious new players and I'm happy to say that the decklists have always held their own - high praise, especially considering the cost that they are coming in at. I'll occassionally add a few non-budget cards to give the deck a bit of nitrous but still keeping the costs down.
Thanks a lot! I hope that you continue doing these - there are no end to solid budget lists!
I have definitely been trying to make a green white aggro enchantress deck. Hopefully it will see the light of day soon. As for valakut, that's very hard to do with a budget simply because of the price increase all the shock lands due to modern.

I basicly came to the same conclusion for my sideboard as well. But I'm mainboarding a Jitte currently (-1 Tragic Slip), and am actually considering swapping that for Sword of Body and Mind (faster clock, no Delver blocks, tokens to carry it).
Spooky, I have a Question... Is possible a budget (As allways) empty the warrens deck?
Yes there is. If you budget is around 250 then you can check out the list in my combo article that was released a bit ago. You can follow the link below to check it out.
If you are looking for a cheaper version, possibly mono red, then I can probably write up a list for you. Just lemme know!
As for everyone else, thank for the suggestions and Ideas. Dauntless Dourbark in particular was indeed looked at, but I decided against him because of his mana cost. overall he didnt fit the curve well and dies to remove too easily, whilst dungrove elver, silhana ledgewalker or a bunch of 2/2 wolves do not.
I had some issue with it's ability to handle multi player threats so I splashed white.
I put in 4 Kor Spiritdancer in place of the weaker green counterpart plus you get draws from aura casting.
Second, out goes mongoose and canopy covers... in went flickering wards. I felt them much more versatile for protection if played right plus the return and recast ability works really well with the Kor and Enchantress.
I am running Pacifism currently so the aura abilities trigger but the ideal removal is Journey or O-ring.
Also the Avacyn block gave us Abundant Growth which is a card draw bonus in addition to mana fixing.
Finally...I about died when I found the card....Enchanted Evening....ever see an Ancestral Mask pump for 60+? That was in 1v1 play testing. Imagine what would happen in an 8v8! Best of all is cheap at ~$1
My next idea is to attempt to further the combo by following up with Serra's Sanctum and Genesis Wave. Not cheap but very up there in awesomeness. Also I have to mention the bonus gems such as Sterling Grove and Worship...soooo much versatility!
Thank you so much for the series, I greatly enjoy the reading and the new discoveries you enlighten me with each session!

I'd rather stab myself in the neck with a #2 pencil before I spent $15 on a piece of cardstock.
There is no real way to take advantage of Bequathal. I would much rather have hexproof, mana accel or pumps than something that does nothing until my guys die.
Aura Gnarly is awesome, especially because of the Wild Growths and Utopia Sprawls, it could have some mana when you are playing around Land Tax. I'll try to make this one in real life and , if needed, improving it

I'll definitely be buying Keen Sense and Ms. Ledgewalker as they are the only ones missing from my Aura Gnarly build.
