Aurelia's exhibition was last night, pretty awesome! It sure is different looking at the work when it's hanging in professional gallery space, + it was fun hearing all the different stories people were coming up with for her pictures. Celebrate good time c'mon!

Congrats to you two. That was probably pretty exciting. Did Aurelia sell anything?
I'm scarfing down holiday chocolates right now. Easter candy is my favorite of all holiday candy and the only one I ever crave is Cadbury's Mini Eggs. I can't get enough of them. I know I was talking about health and diets and what know...but here's my new plan. I pig out on cadbury mini-eggs untill they are no longer in stores. Then I'll probably weigh enough that I can make a decent weight loss goal. Lets face it, I'm @150 right now...if I lose more than 20lbs I'll probably be underweight.
It's like smoking. They say that quitting smoking is one of the hardest things a person can do. I'd like to be able to feel the gratification and increased self worth accomplished by quitting smoking. I just need to save up money so I can afford to start smoking first. Those things are expensive.
Votan....I've never heard of that practice. Sounds interesting. JJ's right in that we are all pretty anal in America. My Grandfather in holland was cremated and his ashes were put in the crematorium's tulip garden. My grandfather in Japan was cremated and placed in a family plot his his father and his father before him. I'd prefer to be cremated myself and spread my ashes on some tall mountain peak or something, but my mom wants something she can morn so I told her to stuff me and put me on the couch....she didn't like that. I did hear that they can compress your ashes into gemstones or diamonds or somesuch...I think that'd be nice. Though if I was a multi-billionair I'd just build a giant granit pyramid, plate it with platinum, and entomb myself with all my possessions.
Cheers,

Wandered back to the last thread to catch up what I missed, it is very interesting how different cultures deal with what we leave behind when we shuffle on, all the rituals that are there to make the ones who remain feel. . . better? Closure? It's all a little bit strange.
Daggs, I reckon I'd visit the gift shop at your pyramid
I got the rest of the cards to finish my EDH deck last night!
There was a kid there that has been playing FOREVER but never traded, everyone was flipping out about the stuff he had...lots of good EDH fodder. I got a (beat) Decree of Justice and Wordly Tutor off of him...but yeah, so I now need only the following cards (smaller list than before considerably):
The lands aren't as important (Conflux lands replace some...) I greatly amused a kid at how excited I was at his Mossfire Valley, we traded for those, I got a Temple Garden off of him for a Demigod...
Last night was one of the better FNMs I have been to for all the trading and games. I got 2nd after my deck gave up on me in the last round.
My credit card got canceled without my bank telling me yesterday. That was fun. I reported a fraudulent charge on there and they just nuked the card without letting me know. I don't carry cash usually, so this is a pain.
So how is everyone's weekend?
I'm at work :X

New thread....oh soo sweet!! So I didn't go to the SCG 5K this weekend. I didn't feel like driving 3+ hours to play cards today. I am going to the ptq next weekend and I'm excited. I need to get my hands on some Polluted Deltas badly!! No one wants to let them go!!
Good on ya Sedds getting your cards back. Does anyone need anything fro traders next weekend? We have a very diverse collection of people at the ptq's around here!

I went to the Soundwave festival yesterday, it was a pretty fun day. Very tiring though.
Happy exhibition, Aurelia! Glad it went well.
It's orientation week for university this week. I have to go in for stuff on the Wednesday and the Thursday and I can't believe how soon that is. I feel a little in over my head, unprepared. Wish me luck!
The new cards are awesome!! The new Core changes and plans are awesome!! I just don't like having to buy more cards each year....but the Standard environment gets refreshed every year! This is soo exciting!!
Magic is trying to go back to what made it a great game!!!

With the Lenten season coming up, I am going to use it as a motivational tool to give up pop. I'm quite addicted to caffeine, and I tend to get my fix by drinking several cans of Coke or Dr. Pepper everyday. This has naturally lead to me gaining far too much weight. I'd give up the caffeine, but those withdrawal headaches are a ***** and a half.

I've always wanted to be buried. Something about slowly being consumed by the earth has always intrigued me.

dude, you can't weigh much more than me. So not sure about gaining "far too much weight." Quiting pop is a good way to lose weight though. My dad lost 20lbs in a month and all he did was stop buying soda. I try not to drink the stuff...unless I need the fix to keep me awake in which case mountain dew or red bull for the win.
I'm a lightweight when it comes to caffeine so a cup of coffee can wire me pretty heavily. I hate coming down from that though. All shaky and nausiated...ugg.
Been having trouble sleeping lately. Haven't become accustomed here yet and its just been getting worse. Just lying awake in bed until 4:00am at times. Almost slept in and missed a class the other day...a class that starts at 2:30PM. I tried different techniques...staying up all night and the next day, forcing myself awake....will power just fails. So last night I tried medicating myself...which I dislike. All it did was give me this uber drowsy slightly nausiated feeling while I waiting untill 2:00am before I finally fell asleep. I'll try again all this week and see where it takes me.

Personally, I'd like to get my severed head stuck to a spike on London Bridge to serve as a warning to all of England....
Barring that I'll settle for getting captured by cannible headhunters, eaten, and my severed shrunken head getting traded to a museum in exchange for Led Zeppelin IV.
Oddly, when you consider my lifestyle neither of those seems like an unrealistic goal.
Congrats on the showing Aurelia! Was it a showing and showing or a showing and selling? Either way, it sounds like it went well, so w000t!
I was told today that this kid on my team called 911 twice this morning and hung up both times. They called back and his dad answered. The reason the kid called 911? He got an erection and didn't know what to do. I wish I was making this up.

A bit of a fetish with your head on display? ....meh, thats our Travis. I'll be sure to sell replica's of your shrunken head at the gift shop in my Pyramid. Give Ria something to buy.
I bought my first stocks today! Well actually I put a bid on them and they'll be purchased tomorrow. I was thinking Apple cause I figure everyone wants an I-pod and it will go up eventually. But i can only afford three shares which doesn't make me that happy. I couldn't think of many other stocks, but my dad told me a handful of promising stocks that he's lost a ton of money in. So I looked at the list, saw some others, and eventually settled on buying 130 shares of City group. Now cross your fingers that they don't go bankrupt.

Hey, at least this time the head I've got a fetish for displaying in public is the one on my shoulders....
And Citi is a decent investment at the moment, although things are likely to get worse before they get better. Still, things can't get that much worse, and in the long run you're likely to make a bunch of money. Just don't freak out if six months from now you've got less than what you started with. That's the problem with stocks, they're just like classy women with good morals. You have to be in it for the long haul, willing to lose a lot of cash, and there's no guarantee you'll get what you want. That's why I prefer selling drugs...

Show + sell, all the way. She's had a radio interview, a write-up in a local monthly (glossy paper even!), so it's all very exciting.
Hey Daggs, there was a band playing at my work last weekend (Compact Country) + they played that song you had in your location forever, Sunday Sidewalk etc. They were fun, if a little loose

The last tim I saw you, I believe I weighed around 180 lbs. Now I am teetering between 210 and 220. On a 5'10" frame, that's enough to be bothersome, especially if I let it last for too long.
I'm a lightweight when it comes to caffeine so a cup of coffee can wire me pretty heavily. I hate coming down from that though. All shaky and nausiated...ugg.
I, as an antithesis, can drink caffeine like my grandfather (an Irish Native American sailor) can drink alcohol. No matter how much I drink, I can't even feel a slight buzz. Hell, caffeine calms me.
Prolly I'm a gettin' a warning today. Looks as though I've let something get under my skin that I shouldn't-a.:/

Actually, it was so completely borderline that I deleted it on sight. Don't do that again, please; not because you're trying to appease NYC Knights, but because your friend asked you to.
Look...I thought I was being funny. I can't believe that he took it so horribly. I have never seen people so uptight about things as those guys. Some of them really think the site is out to get them. This is the sad state of some of these clans....TO SERIOUS!!!
It's no big deal Yuk...I'll won't bother them again. I may have gone over there to tease a little later, but since you asked so nicely...I won't.
That's only the forth ever for me....the only active one I've got though....just need two more!!!:teach: :D:D
SP...you forgot Travis (HKKID) in the opening post. You might as well throw Charlie back up there too. Damn jerks can't even go away from the sight properly!!:D:D

Arggg....how can the closing stock value and opening stock value be different? I mean the stocks are closed between the closing and opening bells right? This morning's rally threw off all my numbers and I got my stock 13 cents higher than yesterday's close. Still...it's up a few more percentages. I did the math and it just needs to go up another $7575 per share before I can retire a millionaire!
HKKID, thanks for the input. I figure I'll be waiting for retirement cause thats what this is for. Figure the economy might be better in 40 years and though I am strapped for cash I still have enough for investing $100 a month for myself. Actually a must than a preference as I'm not getting any younger.
Anyone know of any neat stocks to watch? I'm kind of having fun watching my pennies move around. I figure good investments are probably green energy stuff. Air conditioning might work on account of global warming and I was told hearing aid tech as the I-pod generation goes deaf.
Did Ria just imply he would eat HKKID's shrunken head? O_o
JJ, you'll have to explain since your post was deleted. What are the knights all uptight about?
Cheers,

They're uptight about the damn honking they hear all day outside their overpriced apartments!! There was an offer made on trade thread by one of theirs and it was so silly that I thought I would make a joke out of it, hoping they would start giving DeadmanX a hard time it. Instead they got mad at me and said I was filling their clan thread with bull**** and they don't stand for bull**** and if I have a grief with their clan mate I should only bring it up in a PM. I tired to explain that it was a joke, but they (god of cyanide) was standing for my bull****.
So there you go. I got a warning for posting in their thread.

Anyway, at a lan party atm, will give some more details plus some replys to posts from other thread.
edit: I like the thread title S_P =p

There was a kid there that has been playing FOREVER but never traded, everyone was flipping out about the stuff he had...lots of good EDH fodder. I got a (beat) Decree of Justice and Wordly Tutor off of him...but yeah, so I now need only the following cards (smaller list than before considerably):
Approximation of EDH deck:
1 Rith, the Awakener
1 Darksteel Colossus
1 Sundering Titan
Artifacts
1 Temporal Aperture
1 Sun Droplet
1 Sword of Fire and Ice
1 Sungrass Prairie
1 Wooded Bastion
1 Rugged Prairie
1 Fire-Lit Thicket
1 Krosan Verge
Approximation of lost cards (not counting the above cards):
3 Birds of Paradise
3 Figure of Destiny (2 Release Promo)
3 Llanowar Elves (DCI promo)
2 Mutavault
1 Primal Command
4 Karplusan Forest
2 Brushland
4 Gilt-Leaf Palace
4 Llanowar Wastes
3 Ancient Ampitheatre
2 Flame Javelin
2 Brion Stoutarm
3 Wooded Bastion
2 Wilt-Leaf Liege
2 Battlefield Forge
3 Rugged Prairie

Good on ya Sedds getting your cards back. Does anyone need anything fro traders next weekend? We have a very diverse collection of people at the ptq's around here!

Happy exhibition, Aurelia! Glad it went well.
It's orientation week for university this week. I have to go in for stuff on the Wednesday and the Thursday and I can't believe how soon that is. I feel a little in over my head, unprepared. Wish me luck!

Cheers,
Daggertooth

Barring that I'll settle for getting captured by cannible headhunters, eaten, and my severed shrunken head getting traded to a museum in exchange for Led Zeppelin IV.
Oddly, when you consider my lifestyle neither of those seems like an unrealistic goal.
Congrats on the showing Aurelia! Was it a showing and showing or a showing and selling? Either way, it sounds like it went well, so w000t!

Hey Daggs, there was a band playing at my work last weekend (Compact Country) + they played that song you had in your location forever, Sunday Sidewalk etc. They were fun, if a little loose
I, as an antithesis, can drink caffeine like my grandfather (an Irish Native American sailor) can drink alcohol. No matter how much I drink, I can't even feel a slight buzz. Hell, caffeine calms me.

Drop it please. The entire situation has been blown so far out of proportion that it's ridiculous. Let's just let this entire debacle die and move on with our lives. It's not worth it.
