When we came in (this is a mistake I know) we noticed that their kitchen window was cracked and didn't say/do anything. The window doesn't hold itself up so they provided us with a stick that we put under it to keep it up.
Now today, a good 2 months later, when I wanted to close the window I took out the stick, but it cracked more when it got down. I know that it wouldn't have happened had it not been cracked before, but now the thing went from being 1/8 cracked to like 1/4.
I don't know the best course of action now. Report it? Or leave it since it was already cracked, just more cracked isn't a problem until it breaks. Try to hire someone to fix it? I can't do it myself cause it's one of those double window windows (so I'd need to put gas in it) but the outside can't come in due to the 2nd pane.

What do I do?
Tell the landlord/person you are subletting from and let them deal with it.
Read your leasing agreement, or is this more of a 'handshake' sublease?
If the landlord/owner knew of the damage already, I would just report that it broke a little more when the stick they provided moved.
I emailed the ones we are subletting from (translation):
So today while closing the the kitchen window which was already cracked (since we got the apartment) the window cracked more (the original fissure spread). I was wondering what we should do. Would you like us to call the super intendant or something else?
She answered that it'd be nice to tell the super intendant and to keep her updated.
We did sign a lease form I'll check it to see if it says anything (other than we put a deposit for broken things)
If you didn't report it as damaged when you moved in, then you'll likely be paying for the repair yourself, out of your security deposit.
If it's a gas filled double pane window, then you'll need to replace the window sash. You can save some $$ buying the sash and replacing it yourself, it's not all that hard to do (if they are tilt in windows it's simplicity itself), there are lots of youtube videos showing how to do it, and you'll save a few hundred bucks on labor.

This is the real lesson here, and I hope everyone reading this thread takes this to heart - when you move into a place you are renting, even if it's just a hotel room, take a look around and be sure to report any damage right away. Years of staying at timeshares tells me people break stuff and don't report it all the time, and it frequently gets heaped on someone three or four tenants down the line.
