Vote for the poem(s) you feel is the best (up to two). Remember to adhere to the "Honor Code" when voting.
While it is understood there is no absolute means to monitor the intent of a vote, we ask each PRC participant to exercise integrity when voting out of respect for the contest:
- Please give each poetry submission an equal opportunity in attaining your vote.
- Please read, or at least skim, all the entries before voting.
- Please do not vote for your friends just because they're your friends.
The Poetry Running Contest puts good faith in its participants to act in an honorable manner.
Contestants, remember, you are required required to vote (and you can't vote for yourself)!
Happy voting!
*Interested new participants should submit their poems here.
Great fun looking at all of the poems. I liked Guilan's the most, with Rywad's coming in as a second. Most of the poems didn't really resonate with me, however.
Great selection this week. I went with Preve's and Ivaldi's, but like I said, they were all pretty good. I'll see if I can find the time to type up a few critiques.
I would have also voted for "Drowning" by Ilvaldi. Sorry Ilvaldi! It won't let me cast any more votes. I'll make sure and cast my votes correctly next time.
Brain from Arizona was also a stellar poem by Preve. It was very hard to vote on these.

If you'd like, I can count the extra vote, even if you didn't punch it into the poll. I'm very forgiving about votes, and you're a newcomer anyway (sorry for PMing you the wrong closing date, btw).
Bout to give the poems a good read for the first time.
I've had the most uninspiring rut recently, but it is time to throw that aside and start writing poems again. Ivaldi's was beautiful, and Rywad's was a lot of fun. I assume that there was supposed to be a round cut-off post and I'm free to post a poem for next week?

Thanks. Yes, please count one more vote towards Ilvaldi's poem. That is how I would have voted if I had noticed the "vote for up to two" notice.
I'll do my best not to make a voting mistake in the future.

...Every ****ing time.
Yeah, you are. This is what, the third time I've messed that up? I may be the worst host in the history of the PRC.
UncleIstvan and iCwalzy get honorable mentions. Istvan had a good poem, and I was pretty impressed by the pitch-black, honest humor of the last two lines of iCwalzy.
I enjoyed Preve's, partly because I'm an Arizonan, and partly because it reminded me of Bob Dylan's Poetry from the book "Tarantula."
Guys, I'm still doing reviews but the holiday spirits have impeded any progress out of me. Expect them to be delayed. Also, to save time, I'll do reviews now of only the two poems I vote for per contest. Sheesh, this is tough.

Don't worry about it, all input is good input, even when it's incomplete. It's easiest to understand our own poetry through other people.
Here are the Poetry submissions for this week:
Yellow Demise by Guilan
Game On by Blippytheslug
Drowning by Ilvaldi
Dream by Uncleistvan
3 Years Too Many by iCwalzy
Brain From Arizona by Preve
Insectile by Zelderex
Kerplunk by Rywads
