Obviously the core of these decks is similar, but they feel really different to me too. They showed up last year briefly on MTGO and vanished. When blue is such a big part of the metagame this deck just won't do well. There's a video of the deck being played against Delver and a deck tech I found too:
Against Delver... Game one = Turn 1 win. Game two = dead in the water. A single piece of disruption and the whole thing crumbles.
I'm interested in getting into pauper. Currently have a domain zoo deck ready to play. This one seems up my alley. Which version would you recommend? I like things from both list and might try flip flop a few cards.
Honestly, no idea. I'm picking up cards to build both and want to try it out but when I saw it a few weeks ago I'd never played it or seen it played. I figure that once I build it and find people to test it out with I'll have more to go on.
It's quite an involved loop and very easy to misclick, but it is infinitely repeatable. I think you also need to be at or above 5 life or you won't be able to convert enough B to U to get the process going. It's a terribly inconsistent deck, but that's the price we pay for a potential turn 1 kill.
That's the Cavern Harpy route, but the other one pretty much relies on Spy into huge mana into 1 red to bring back Anarchist to play Haunting Misery.
