Usually primers and decks here tend to be made first on pauper then tweaked to peasant. However there are some uncommons that are so strong that you could build a deck around them (eg. Tendrils of Agony, Smallpox). Obviously, those decks can't exist on pauper, so I thought maybe we're missing some very nice peasant decks.
So I made this thread to ask if you guys know any peasant decks that can't be build on pauper because of the uncommons.
I don't really know of any "exclusively" built around this or that Peasant decks. Most of the time they are traditionally built around Pauper because the Pauper (common cards) themselves are so strong and efficient it really doesn't get a great benefit from being brought into Peasant.
For instance you don't really build a deck around Mother of Runes, you just sort of add her into your already crazy White Weenie Pauper deck in place of Benevolent Bodyguard. The core of the deck remains the same, but she is just a better version of that card.
As for the cards you mentioned, I don't know if I would actually build a deck around those. I would prefer to add something to an already proven deck that would just make it better such as Vampire Nighthawk, Hypnotic Specter or Demonic Tutor. One card you almost always have to consider for the uncommon slot over a lot is Aether Vial.
Not really a constructive response, I'm sure they're decks out there that are built around something though.
It's exactly how you said XBM. Usually we search for a better uncommon to swap on our pauper deck. That's why I think maybe we're missing some good decks that could be made the other way around. Maybe I'm wrong though^^
Spider Spawning is really fun. It only requires 2, so that leaves 3 uncommons too. I hope they find a way to reprint that at common one day.
I have tried to port the deck to pauper, but all the "count the creature in the yard" cards at uncommon for some reason. Pauper has only Gnaw to the Bone and Songs of the Damned, neither of which are particularly good excuse to throw a bunch of creatures in the bin.
So one strategy that exists in peasant, but not pauper, is "mill a bunch of creatures, then abuse it."

WOA WOA WOA. I've used dredge + Gnaw to the Bone very effectively in Pauper. GttB is actually strong, borderline broken.
As for Peasant decks built FOR Peasant, we have to face the reality that only 5 uncommons are allowed. So what's the rest going to be? Commons. They make up the biggest portion of the deck. So it's very difficult to build a non-centralized strategy that doesn't use a pre-constructed "commons" shell. The only time you would ever see a Peasant-only deck would be when the deck can only function with those cards. Basing an entire deck around 5 cards is extremely difficult. There are very few examples to go on, and the deck would still probably end up looking "Pauper".
I posted what I think is a good example of a Peasant-only strategy in the Affinity forum.
There are others out there, there's no question. But they're most likely combo decks, or else they're just Pauper decks with five better uncommons in them. That's why Peasant isn't as attractive a format for me.
I think there's enough red cards to center a deck around Fanatic of Mogis. Rakdos Shredfreak, Frostburn Weird, the new m14 cerberus with double strike come to mind. There has to be more.

I think those decks would likely be best off playing a semitraditional RDW strategy. You would have to cut some of those really nice self-sacrificial cards like furnace scamp and keldon marauders, but the parts are all there. I would probably use 3 fanatic of mogis and 2 goblin wardriver. wardriver is not as explosive as ram-gang or emissary, but in an aggressive swarm shell it can hit REALLY HARD.

Another card that could be built around is Brain Freeze. Also some prison decks could see some play with Propaganda/Ghostly Prison.
