Singer, there's a Tsundere maid cafe in Japan, you could go there (or just go to any maid cafe, that will do). As for me, I won't be continuously online since my normal internet connection is going haywire (it goes on and off, so I use an internet cafe, which I can't go at everyday). By the way, I finally finished my props for my Inuyasha costume. My Tetsusaiga (both the sheated and in-scabard forms) look great! Now all I need is style my wig. I'm getting nervous about next week!!!

Casual crazy magic player, otaku maniac, unrully cosplayer, what did you expect me to be?
Sorry for my infrequent posting of late, but my laptop broke and it was a hassle to get on here. How's the new season of anime going for you guys?
I'm not really too impressed by it. There's not really a lot which has caught my eye.
Slowly watching the following:
Space Dandy 2, for obvious reasons.
Aldnoah, for the protagonist who does not give a single ****. Also, it lacks the stupidity of Captain Earth.
Considering:
SOA, but I'm afraid it'll be more of the same. I liked the first ten or so episode of season 1, watched the rest on the hopes that it'd become good again, but that more or less disappeared by the time we had a bad guy licking faces of unconscious people. Every time I want to watch this, I'm like: I have better shows I could watch instead.
Psycho pass. It sounds interesting, but it's Urobutcher, and I haven't seen anything by him I particularly liked.
On a similar note: what are you guys thinking about the fall season? The only interesting things I saw in the charts for it were Log Horizon 2, although I will drop it if it goes on the same way as season 1, and that thing by Gibli.

We have laboured long to build a heaven, only to find it populated with horrors.
I've been told I'm incredibly picky with anime. Is Log Horizon good? I always looked at it and it just looked like an almost SOA (first season) which isn't something I'd watch again.

I liked it better than SOA. It was more open about being a game and the mechanics in it, while at the same time not focussing at all on how to get out of the game. However, I thought that the plot they decided on was somewhat lacklustre.

First of all, it's SAO, not SOA.
About Fall: I haven't really checked out properly yet what there is to come. Only thing that caught my eye (and not in a good way) was Ghibli's Ronja Rövardotter the anime. I'm looking forward to see my childhood butchered... I assume no one here is familiar with the original book by Astrid Lindgren?

For fall looking forward to Log Horizon S2 and Hitsugi no Chaika S2.
For this season, SAO 2 (cuz I like it), Akame ga Kill, Sailor Moon Crystal (for the lulz), and Fate Ilya (cuz I liked the manga). I started watching Momo-kyun Sword, but was not particularly impressed and Sabagebu, which reminded me a lot of Stella's Jogakuen C3 (but with crazier girls).
@TEIN: I liked Log Horizon as it's actually pretty different from SAO. In SAO, they are presented a way to clear the game and they die for real when killed. In Log Horizon, no one knows why they're trapped in the game, let alone how to get out, and when you die, you respawn. So two very different approaches to being stuck in a video game. I was pretty skeptical about liking either show when presented with the synopsis, but enjoyed both a lot.
My fall watchlist:
Log Horizon 2 (definitive)
Gugure! Kokkuri-san (pending on the first episode, if it's too much of WTF, then I drop it)
Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de (same as the above)
Kiseijuu (this is an alien horror anime based on a seinen manga that dates at around a decade back, which was good altought being a little bit wierd, like the talking hand, still I'm gonna watch it)
Sanzoku no Musume Ronja (only when I will get it in physical copy, I don't want any pirated Ghibli stuff at my house, that studio deserves my respect because they hang to their values and use the most hypocrite of all to distribute their animes troughout the world, namelly Disney, sure hope you are turning around in your tomb Walt, the animes you so much feared from stealing your audience are now overpowering your empire of stolen copyrights and overly due to expire licenses).
Strike Witches OVA (cause I have watched the first 2 seasons and I saw that there might be a third season, sure hope she won't do the same trick to squash one of those neurois, watch S2 and you will understand)
Suisei no Gargantia OVA
Expecting to see soon in the winter anime panel: Dog Days S3 and Strike Witches S3 (would be the best time to show both), Ranced 01 (yeah, they bring another H game into all age anime, hopefully), Date A Live movie, Girls Und Panzer movie, WitchCraft Works OVA.
By the way, who goes to the Otakuthon this weekend? Except me of course, I'm going cause I purchased my pre-entry in march (with the brunch and the concert). If you want to meet me, search for a Soriel disguised as Inuyasha or for a plain catguy with a funny anime shirt (which is my more relaxed alternate costume).

Soriel, ( don't know if you have heard)But unfortunately studio Ghibli is shutting down very soon. I remember the good Ghibli films and their unique style.
Watchlist for myself:
Magi ( what Im watching now)
Black Lagoon
GTO
Ghost in the Shell
Finish Cowboy Bebop ( No I haven't finished it and please don't flame me )
Sadly, since I'm living in EU, I'm not coming to Otakuthon.
@Rayne: Yeah, I heard it too. I was quite sad to hear it.
Also, where do you guys buy your anime/manga (not asking the name of the store, but generally)?
I sadly live in a country, where I pretty much have to order everything online (well, not manga, but everything else), so I was interested where do you buy them...

Hmm I thought it was confirmed by now.
"This sad and shocking news comes out of an appearance by Studio Ghibli general manager Toshio Suzuki on Japanese television that's been translated on Oh-Totoro.com (via The Film Stage), basically saying they would be closing the animation feature film department, maintaining a small staff to focus on trademarked material.
Anyways, now that I still remember: Soriel, how was Otakuthon? How did you manage as Inuyasha?
I'm really looking towards Desucon Frostbite (despite it being in February 2015) after I heard Gen Urobutchi is coming there as a guest. The only thing I'm afraid of is not getting a ticket, since Desucon usually gets sold out in the matter or hours (aka. if I'm not at my computer when the ticket sales open, I can kiss goodbye to the idea of getting there).

It was fun cosplaying as Inuyasha. Fact is, we were three persons cosplaying as Inuyasha and I was the only one with a 2 inch thick/55 inch long Tetsaiga, a onyx and white quartz on silk string beads of subjugation and the 3 pieces hakama and I was the only one with moving ears, but the other two were seen only at the middle of the second day of the con, so they weren't really original anymore since I took all the attention from those who liked Inuyasha friday. I changed costume around midway cause a huge sword is really impractical in a crowd, so I finished the con with my ears and tails (seen as my avatar). I unfortunatelly didn't get to meet the girl who made the voice of Mikasa Ackerman, but I did meet Neko, Midori-chan and Kaname (I even got photographed with them and I have their autographs).
I'm going next year, but in another costume, hope I can get myself a cosplay group up before the next Otakuthon.

Just popping my head in to say I finished the first Sword Art Online season. Which had me a bit worried at the start since I mentioned to my girlfriend I was watching it and her response was "oh hell no" and she proceeded to mention how the main character was a Mary Sue and it was nothing but incest, waifus, and waifu incest.
In the end, though, it was... okay. Not good, not bad, just okay. It wasn't as good a serious game-themed show as .hack//SIGN and it wasn't as good a comedic game-themed show as Ixion Saga. But it didn't have the endless emo wangst .hack//Roots had, so while the second half was kinda bad it was never obnoxiously bad. My problems with it stem more from general anime tropes I dislike (hence why my usual anime fare makes me look like a hipster) than from anything endemic to the series. Entertaining but forgettable, basically.
Have you tried Log Horizon, Teia? It's pretty good. And most people will agree that Suguha is not a very good character. Silica and Liz more admire Kirito than love him IMO. And Asuna was amazing in the first half. Fairy land arc was meh cuz of Sugu tho... I thought it was funny that the same VA for Kirino from OreImo plays Sugu and is in love with her onii-chan in SAO. It'd have been really funny if her character in Dog Days was in love with her onii-chan too, but instead she's just really tsundere.
Sadly, despite me saving the town on day 2, none of the other townies bothered to vote on day 3, so the scum literally just... won by default. It was unbelievably frustrating, but hey, I got one scum lynched and accurately guessed the other one, so I can at least say I did my best.
Good showing Teia. ^^ Sorry I've been inactive lately, school starting has certainly kept me busy, and life comes up. I'm scurrying to catch up with everything for the end of the season.

Jeeze, all in all that's 20 anime assuming I can do basic math. One jam-packed season. I even dropped a couple shows. Looking forward to fall.
Continuing watching some animes like SAO 2 (and finishing watching Rail Wars). Watching periodically Akuma no Riddle (gosh, this is loaded with pseudo Yuri signals and yuri signals), need to go pick up my latest anime order (Hyper Police, good old classic, althought the manga is better). Reading Flame of Recca on my Kobo Glow as well as re-reading Spice and Wolf (as well as reading Mammotte Lollipop, definitelly shojo, but if the story's good, I'll read it, whatever it may be). Need to catch up on Elfen Lied (both the manga and the anime), need to find a bunch of other animes. Anyone knows a good anime shop that delivers to Québec, Canada and that uses Paypal? Funimation doesn't take that form of payment and I'm stuck with E-Bay.

Rewatching SAO S1... I think that Death Gun is the same guy as the Laughing Coffin member in the crowd in ep 8... Which may also be the same guy from the Laughing Coffin group that got ran out in ep 6...
I still dislike it somewhat for not introducing the characters as well. They made a huge error by assuming everyone has seen the original FMA.

I might check out log horizon then.
