As promised, the editors have selected five articles printed this month to be available for you to vote on for August Article of the Month! The winner will recieve $30 in store credit from www.RancoredElf.com.
The nominees are (abecedary by article)...
1) Cranial Insertion: Recurring Nightmares by Woapalanne (and Gandalf-in-a-boat and JeffV)
This article is almost self-defeating. Because if you read it well enough, you may never need to ask a rules question again. That's how helpful this article is, especially if you have problems with the more easily-answerable questions. A FAQ to end all FAQs. Just... read it. Seriously.
2) Psychology in Multiplayer by bateleur
Once again we meet bateleur, his far-funnier-than-that-stupid-Garfield cat, and his multiplayer group. Learn about the tricks of diverting attention, gaining small advantages without being threatening, and possibly a little hypnotism. I've yet to see a multiplayer-based article that better expresses these themes, though I've often seen articles that try.
3) Recipe for Success: Throw a Magic Sealed Deck Party by Mohan
Want to get together with the buds and have a night full of fun, experience, and learning on your quest for hamburgers? Oh, wait, that's Harold and Kumar. But this is about as fun, and with fewer tigers. Learn the best kinds of food to serve to a hungry cardflopping diner, the best ways to integrate the newbs and the vets, and the best ways to run the event in general.
4) Remember the Weatherlight, Part 3: One Man's Fury by VestDan
VestDan gave us four articles this month, three of them in this extraordinarily popular series detailing the highlights of the five-year Weatherlight storyline. When deciding which of the three to nominate for AOTM, there was no question. Part 3: One Man's Fury appeared on every nominator's ballot. Come join VestDan as he shows you the story of Urza, the multiverse's most prolific planeswalker, and his tendency for wanton destruction.
5) What Next for Legacy? by Finn
Finn discusses the possible future of Legacy, the format which appears to be this site's cup-o-tea. Will things start to get unbearablyexpensive? Will the invasion of Tempest lovers change the format irreversibly after the Extended rotation? Read this article to find out!
Go back and read 'em again! You'll find them entertaining the second time, I hope, and it will refresh your memory for better voting. I must stress: Please do not vote unless you have read all five of these articles.
ALSO NOTE: Due to complications from July's Article of the Month, accounts with zero posts are no longer allowed to vote.

They were all good articles, but in the end it came down to Bateleurs Psychology in Multiplayer and Vestdans Remember the Weatherlight. As much as I like Bateleurs articles, the Remember the Weatherlight series can only be done once as a article and you have to do it right. Vestdan surpassed doing it right and did a extraordinary job, even though I had read all of the books before! Because of this, Vestdan gets my vote.
tough vote but it had to go to the weatherlight articles.. just awsomeness.. I never knew the actuall storyline as I had only tibids from the cards but now as I see it wholeness Im wishing we could go back there.. sooo much fun *loves dominiaria*

I voted for Bateleur, but I understand why other liked the weatherlight one a lot. VestDan logged in a lot of man-hours to write such a comprehensive article.

For me it was between VestDan and Finn this month. Finn just edged it on the basis that Magic's backstories never reaslly grabbed me (I enjoyed VestDan's points of commentary much more than the story itself), whereas the likely future of Legacy is a very interesting topic indeed.

I voted VestDan's Weatherlight, because it was by far the most immeresed I've been in an article in a while. Balteur cut it close for the second month in a row in my book.
