This time it was not maintenance but an error in a script. I don't really know why that happened and I'm currently looking into this issue. Problem is that I don't have internet/phone at home for a few days and that I can't check the server every five minutes.
No, it's really weird, the server ran smooth from January 1st until last week and now suddenly it's blahblahblah. Urgent software updates, new kernel, that dumb script...and so on.
Actually it was probably for the better Hannes... Imagine the server load minutes after the dual land info went up at WotC (I feel sorry for their server load once everyone found out...). I know I wouldn't have wanted to be that server...
Combination of the scheduled downtime and the server also choked on the colossal 800mb log file from yesterday, over 15.000 visitors. I turned the log files off for the moment. We really need a second server

Out of curiosity, are you getting any monetary benefit out of this at all? Increased traffic to magiccards.info, or is this just out of the goodness of your heart? Either way, thanks for hosting/making/etc.

No, but I don't loose any money either. And no problem, I'm very happy to have this very nice community!
And again I would like to apologize. Sorry guys

I think this one was the scheduled downtime for upgrades, if I'm not mistaken. Let's hope it's the last one, at any rate. *sigh*

It's THE backup!
If something fails, I have full forum backups for the last two months. It IS necessary.
Thanks for your patience.

...which is odd, since I never got it before until now...
Does it just go on and off from time to time? I went onto another forum running vBullitin 3.0.7 and i wasn't running into any errors

I'm really really sorry. But I can't really do a lot with no internet at home.
