First off, I think this card is overcosted for its effect and Wizards could have pushed it a bit more.
That being said, does anyone else think this would make for a good finisher in some sort of a standard Omniscience deck?
Once you play Omniscience, you can use it to fuel the card draw while discarding multiple copies of the enchantment to just burn opponents out. I don't know the deck very well so there may be better options, but this seemed to be best potential interaction in standard.
Could be funny in Epic Experiments. Lets you dig even more and (chances are if you run alot of draw spells which you probably do) you will find something good to pitch to this spell and give you some heafty burn to your opponent.

Was thinking multiple copies of Omniscience as well as Enter the Infinite, and then I realised that casting this afterward would cause you to deck yourself. Oh well, this is the Standard season with Laboratory Maniac, after all....

First they came for the Cantrips, and I didn't speak up, because I wasn't a Cantrip.
Then they came for the Artifacts, and I didn't speak up, because I was an Instant.
Then they came for the Rituals, and I didn't speak up, because I wasn't really a Ritual.
Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak up for me.
The card being good in Limited notwithstanding, this design card of this card doesn't sit well with me. It feels too random for me and unintuitive unless you're modifying your deck around this card or you so happen to be playing with Madness cards, a combo deck, or something.
Feels to me like the Dinrova Horror of Izzet: a high-pick uncommon that will top curves and usually get a game-winning amount of value.
6 mana won't be a curve topper in DGR drafts. Format should be a lot slower now that you essentially have to go three colors. 6 mana cards won't be nearly as bad as they were in GTC and, to a lesser extent, RTR.
It should be playable in a deck with Hideaway cards and Emrakul. There is a GW deck based around Windbrisk Heights, Summoning Trap and Emrakul. A UR version would involve Spinerock Knoll, Blast of Genius and Emrakul.
Even if this is the only card in your hand-- you're still digging three deep, keeping two, and throwing 0-15 damage to any target.
It's well-costed and I think everyone is just knee-jerking any sorcery that costs more than five as insta-jank.
well sorcerisethat cost more than 5 are normally really bad so it is pretty well known... no reason this shouldnt be instante, even at instant this card would be borderline playable. at 4 this card would be too good, at 5 and instant this card would be competitve. 6 sorcery, in very fringe standard decks only.
This card is mediocre at best. After drawing three cards, I'm going to be wanting to discard the lands, not my expensive, game-ending spells. You also have to choose the target before drawing the cards putting you in an awkward spot if you didn't draw as well as you had hoped.
Obviously unplayable in constructed, but even in limited I'm hesitant to put it in my deck because it costs so much.
This card is meant to be used as a combo wincon. Aim at your opponent, draw 3 cards, discard Emrakul.
I agree. At least for constructed decks, this card functions as a new Erratic Explosion from the good old Draco Explosion days. I'm not sure if the deck is Modern viable, but there are at least some redundant combo possibilities that could be used.
The problems I see with this cards are if you plan on using it practically-- The cards you're going to want to discard are the cards that you're going to want to use.
You have 6 mana on the board. Are you going to want to be dumping the card with a CMC of 6, or the cards with a CMC of 1-2? Also, at 6 mana, you sure better be finishing the game off since you probably don't have any mana for counters left.
That being said, I would bet that this card will be insane with a clever combo deck. I also think it would be great to combo with cards that use alternative mana costs, and things like the {b/2} hybrid cost type spells.
I was thinking of making a UGR and possibly white standard deck that would run four of these, and 2 worldspine worms. Along with some Mercurial Chemisters and a few reckoners. With Rampant growth and Path you can get to use this on turn 4 to draw 3 and smack someone in the face for 11 damage.
make a reanimator grixis deck thats what i did and it works very well to discard big creatures and then take them to the battle field with haste with another card named breaking//entering

This card is already going to see play in Limited. It doesn't have to be made better, because it already pulls its weight.

Big Johnny.
It might even see play in constructed in some off-the-wall deck; there are plenty of heavy CC spells to feed to it
Also the art is very, very sexy

Congregation at Dawn and Signal the Clans to get an Emrakul into your hand.
Explosive Revelation + Blast of Genius for a damage-based win condition.
Through the Breach for redundant in-color win condition.
Add on top of that a URw burn/control shell with cards like Lightning Bolt, Electrolyze, Lightning Helix, etc. Pentad Prism and Desperate Ritual can be used for acceleration.
Not sure if it's a good idea overall, or in comparison to other combo decks, but it's definitely a starting point.
