I'll note that many of the Green cards are "mandatory" given that Allosaurus Rider, much like Force of Will, necessitates a critical mass of hits. Chancellor of the Tangle, for example, does triple duty given that it's fast mana for Neoform, a Green card for Allosaurus Rider and it's 7 CMC which means that you can Nourishing Shoal it for 7 life which is another activation of Griselbrand. That's an interaction which frequently comes up and it's why you don't need the full 4x Autochthon Wurm even though the Wurm provides 2 activations of Griselbrand. You can run 3-4 if you want but remember that Summoner's Pact can tutor for them as needed which gives you some virtual copies that you may otherwise be overlooking.
The best protection spell for this deck is Pact of Negation since you don't have enough Blue cards to support Force of Will. If you're looking for some additional resilience your best bet would be to play 4 of those.
(though a Turn 1 solitaire game win is hardly casual or multiplayer I’d think...)

Hey I never said anything about casual! I agree that this shouldn't be anyone's go-to deck but turn 1 wins are sweet. People occasionally ask me to showcase busted decks and this is a good example of how degenerate multiplayer Magic can be.

Quit posting this turn one nonsense....We want War of the Spark Mulitplayer Review!!! Hahaha j/k but seriously, where is the set review. This set is a massive shake up for Magic and we want your thoughts on it
Hey Prid3, it's not a question related to the thread z but would you ever criticizing some edh builds? That's where my concentration lies lately and I've always appreciated your insight.

EDH is tough for numerous reasons. People have different budgets, access to cards, ideas about how games should be played, etc. and decks tend to be significantly more personal. They also take a long time to analyze (for obvious reasons) and even though I can I don't enjoy explaining my justification for all of my suggestions. Not only is it time consuming but often times the reply is "I agree that this card is better but I prefer this card because [INSERT ANNECDOTE]." That's fine, to each their own, but I can waste a lot of time accomplishing nothing. I use the term "waste" loosely and this is probably coming off way more arrogant than it is but I'm in my 30s working on big projects for long hours and I don't have nearly as much free time to discuss magic. That's why instead of being active on the boards every day I'm either gone for days/weeks at a time or here for a hour at 10:30 CST when I'm done for the day and heading to bed.
With that huge disclaimer out of the way the answer is "it depends." I can look at an EDH deck, point out the cards that I would never play and recommend cards that I would always play in that archetype/color combo/strategy. I avoid the ridiculously overcosted stuff unless the person says "budget be damned" but I don't follow prices very closely so I typically just recommend cards that I'd play and people decided for themselves what they can and can't afford. You can see that even in my deck I don't own Imperial Seal or Grim Tutor so my decks aren't perfect but I can still recognize that, all other things being equal, I would play those cards if I could afford them.
I also like asking people for rough snapshots of their meta (if they can provide it) because that should change how you build your deck. For example, cards that I would always play given the right mix of colors are:
There's more but you get the idea. Nothing exists in a vacuum when it comes to Magic and in the right metas cards like Carpet of Flowers and Compost are so stupidly powerful that you'd be crazy to omit them.
4x Gemstone Caverns
4x Gemstone Mine
4x Botanical Sanctum
2x Mana Confluence
Creatures (20)
2x Children of Korlis
4x Elvish Spirit Guide
1x Laboratory Maniac
4x Chancellor of the Tangle
4x Allosaurus Rider
2x Griselbrand
2x Autochthon Wurm
4x Summoner's Pact
4x Lotus Petal
4x Ponder
2x Preordain
4x Neoform
4x Nourishing Shoal
4x Eldritch Evolution
I've been screwing around with decks like these even since Neoform started trending online. It's a turn 1-2 win deck that abuses the following:
Turn 1 Allosaurus Rider -> Neoform for Griselbrand -> draw 14 cards -> Nourishing Shoal to draw more cards -> Laboratory Maniac wins the game.
The way it does this on turn 1 is with fast mana such as Gemstone Caverns, Lotus Petal, Elvish Spirit Guide and Chancellor of the Tangle. Summoner's Pact acts as copies 5-8 of the Rider and if you want even more there's always Worldly Tutor if you're willing to settle for turn 2 kills.
Other cards to consider include Wild Cantor, Life Goes On and Manamorphose. Wild Cantor cycles Green mana into Blue and can be tutored for with Summoner's Pact. Life Goes On is a weaker version of Children of Korlis but doesn't require White mana. Neoform kills your Allosaurus Rider so it's basically always going to gain 8 life. Manamorphose is a cantrip that cycles into Blue/White mana which can assist with awkward draws.

My meta: 3 or 4 player free for all, anything goes but boring games or broken decks cause a vote to end that game.

For the most part I try to emphasize ramp and card draw because those are what win games in my experience. So when I see a Grixis deck that isn't playing Sol Ring, Mystic Remora, Vandalblast, Fellwar Stone, Dimir Signet, Izzet Signet, Rakdos Signet, Cyclonic Rift, Counterspell, Negate, Coalition Relic, Rhystic Study, Manifold Insights, Painful Truths, Toxic Deluge, Chaos Warp and couple of other core cards I'm going to strongly encourage otherwise. It literally doesn't matter what you're doing; these are the kinds of cards that should be in every deck. Chances are that your decks are "missing" some of these must-have playables that, if nothing else, ensure that you're going to be competitive regardless of what anyone is doing.
I also like asking people for rough snapshots of their meta (if they can provide it) because that should change how you build your deck. For example, cards that I would always play given the right mix of colors are:
